9 09 - Lecture

(This chapter isn't edited yet)

"And so I conclude my point. The best part of knowing how to do a spell is not knowing all the lines in your head, knowing everything so you can always write a spell without having to use a book, or without having to use an example spell , but knowing where to look in each spell and using the best line for that particular situation. If you know of other spells and have them at your disposal, it's not too difficult to change a spell to something you want to do, just like I did with 'Pong'." Neo finished speaking and went to the teacher's desk beside him, grabbed an empty glass and used 'Liquify' to produce some water and drink it.

After talking for so long, it was natural for his throat to get dry and beg for some water.

While he drank the water, both the students and the teacher had their mouths open in an 'o' shape. They had never heard anything like this, that a Mage could take several example spells and search among those spells which method might be most practical for that spell used.

Seeing everything that was going on in this class, Neo regretted helping Fatty a little.

It all started because while he was explaining Fatty, this chubby friend of his couldn't understand what Neo was explaining and he couldn't do the 'Liquify' spell at all.

Until Neo decided to try a different approach than what people were using in this world.

In his previous world, practically every developer had trained using a very special method, that is, taking something that already existed and trying to redo it, improve it, or use it in another situation to understand how it worked.

So Neo also opted to use this approach on Fatty, taking the 'Fire Ball' spell that almost every young mage had already learned, and which Neo had quickly seen in the library while studying about the world, and challenged Fatty to do a 'Water spell'. Ball' using the 'Fire Ball' spell as a base and trying to merge that with the 'Liquify' spell he was trying to learn.

And the result was a success. But unfortunately Fatty set the mana variable too high and the result was that the student sitting in front of him got all wet.

Initially the teacher was furious, but when Fatty started screaming happily that she had managed to develop a spell he didn't know and the wet boy was trying to kill Fatty, she was shocked once again, as 'Spell Development' was a class that just sophomore genius students or regular third year students could participate. But unexpectedly had a first-year student in her class learned this so easily?

And she had even noticed the difficulty Fatty was having when she approached to hear how Neo, that genius student in her class, was explaining.

But unexpectedly this student had managed to develop a spell that he didn't know before, how was this something simple?

So, after Fatty explained that she only got it because of Neo explicaçãos explanation, the teacher invited Neo to do this explanation for the whole class, wanting to know how he had taught this to Fatty.

But Neo explicaçãos explanation was even more brilliant than shevad imagined. In the 'Spells Development' class, the teacher usually had the students memorize all the basic theory and only then could they do their own spells, no glue was allowed, so only second-year geniuses, or students who heard about it up to the third year could participate.

But as Neo explained, he even gave a practical explanation of how he used the 'notebook' spell concept to do the 'Pong' spell that several boys were talking about today, making the teacher even more shocked than the students.

Neo was also a little surprised at the end of the explanation, not because he thinks he's smart, but because this was something very basic, that every developer in his previous world did practically unconsciously, to the point where the Stack OverFlow website became as big as it was. when Neo died.

Of course, Neo omitted the part that he had intentionally memorized the 'notebook' code, if not the whole point of his explanation would become practically invalid, since not everyone was as experienced as Neo, and that in his previous world he was was not known as 'genius' for no reason.

*Knock Knock*

Someone knocked on the door, alerting the people inside.

Neo, unconsciously used to giving numerous lectures at universities in his previous world, forgot he was just a student in that world and opened the door as if he were the professor there.

"How can I help you?" Neo asked.

"Coff, Coff..." The inspector coughed awkwardly, completely unprepared for Neo's approach. She figured she'd just invite a student to hand over the card she'd borrowed, but who knew this student looked more like a teacher than several 3-star Mages who taught at that school. "Ehhh, I came to return your Magic Card, sorry to interrupt the lecture." She soon handed over the card and left quickly.

Noticing the strange way the inspector had treated him, Neo realized the mistake he haviad made and looked with an apologetic expression to the teacher who was rising from her student chair just now.

Seeing this she laughed, this chubby woman didn't care much about these little things. She was still in awe of the concept this student had presented to her, and she was excited for the class to be over and she could test it out on her own, and maybe even show the result to the principal and possibly get a bonus on her salary.

"Don't worry about it, after such an impeccable lecture I think it's better to have a free class. Students, you are free to do self-study, you can keep trying to do 'Liquify' or test the magic applications that Neo explained now , but just don't forget that we're in a classroom, try not to make any mistakes that hinder your classmates." She said as she looked at the student all wet from Fatty's accident.

With such an inspiring explanation from Neo, several students took Magic Cards that they had brought to school and started trying to apply the 'Liquify' spell on it.

As everyone was only on the second day of class, they only knew the most basic spells that any novice wizard could learn, and without being able to use 'Fire Ball' as an example, the variety of spells wasn't that great, but Neo found it quite creative. student who used a spell that showed the hours mixed with 'Liquify' in order to make the glass of water show the time.

After a while the class ended and the students were free for the rest of the day. Neo and Fatty went to lunch, while Fatty continued to have fun looking at the magic card with the spell 'Water Ball' he created.

But their peace was soon broken by a slew of excited students. This time even the girls got together with interest to see this 'Pong' game that the students in their classes kept talking throughout the class.

Fatty, of course, said that after they finished lunch they could play together, which got the boys excited to learn that the inspector had returned the magic card to Fatty.

Several students asked if Neo didn't have another 'Pong' magic card because they really wanted to play, but unfortunately Neo didn't have any ready now.

However, Neo saw the opportunity there and soon after he finished lunch he went to his room.

He initially intended to leave the school dorm and open the store his father had left behind, but seeing the large amount of potential customers at the school, he realized that it would be much easier to sell his games at school initially, so he started to produce more 'Pong' magic cards.

But as his mana was limited, he could only make one magic card in a few minutes, before spending almost an hour waiting for his mana to recharge before making another magic card.

But even with such slow production, in just one afternoon Neo managed to make six 'Pong' cards encrypted.

Luckily the encrypted code was already done, so he just needed to copy it to the empty magic cards.

'It's time to make money.' Neo thought as he left the room.
