3 Book-1 Chapter Three: Improving Life and Magic

Book-1 Chapter Three: Improving Life and Magic

Three months passed by really fast for me once I got busy with helping the kids around here.

The meats from the Bulbasaur last longer than I thought. There was still a large pile of it left over. Oddly enough, no one asked why the meats didn't get spoil over the past three weeks. Not only that, why was there no flies flying over the meats at all. No one seems to care as long as they get to eat. Well, almost everyone, that is. Jin had looks at the meats oddly for a couple of times before he shrugged and went on his way.

Today, we are digging up my old house. Well, Jenna's old family house.

It was a three-story family home built of woods and logs. A large log cabin-like homes. Only, it was a three-story one. Now that home was burned to the ground with nothing but charcoal and ashes left, it was easier for us kids to dig around.

"Jenna, where did you said that your mother put her secret stashes of books at?" Jin asked me with his hand on an old iron shovel. The iron shovel was found under Rebecca's former house. So, it was slightly easier to scavenge and dig around now that we actually have some tools. Not only that, due to eating the Bulbasaur meats all these times, their body was also getting stronger and sturdier too.

"The basement to the left. Mom wanted me to learn magic but I didn't want to so I never went to her secret stash." I said to Jin, making my face look slightly sad and nostalgic.

Jin nodded as he ignored my expression. Hmm... This boy...

Of course, this was a big lie from me. I had been planning this for a while now. To tell Jin and the kids that my mother had left a part of her 'secret' stashes in the deeper basement of our house.

Since everyone in the village knew that my mother was an alchemist and can use magic, they had thought that she learned it from somewhere before she married my father. Well, that was true in a sense.

My mother did learn it from a hunter school. However, she was only there for 3 years before she had to quit school. So, her knowledge was something that she had gained on the roads. In other words, it was from first-hand experiences.

Making low-grade potions, finding herbs on the road, healing spells and other basic spells was the limit of what Jenna's mother could do. However, Jenna's body does originate from her mother, after all. So, Jenna's mother, who was called Jade, should be someone who is slightly special in this world. She wasn't a weakling, that's for sure. Jade Loveheart was able to use up to 5 kinds of elemental magic, so everyone believed me when I said that she wanted me to inherit her legacy. Not only that, it seems like Jade Loveheart was able to use up to 5 kinds of elemental magic due to her rare magic attributes.

Something which has never happened before. In fact, as I was making these pieces of information up for the kids, I have a feeling that more than 80% of what I said was true. Jade Loveheart wasn't a low-grade magician at all.

She was far too strong in a sense.

Which was why the villagers all believe that she had learned it from a high-class school before marrying Jenna's father.

So now, I can use this excuse to do a lot of things. For example, making up things that don't exist. Like, how my mother has a secret stash that teaches people how to use magic and make potions. And the like.

So now, we are digging the 'basements' of Jenna's house.

"Ah! Jin! Jenna! I found the door!" Luke yelled from the other side with his voices full of excitement.

Both I and Jin exchanges look. I willed my eyes to widen in surprise and excitement, causing Jin to also got excited. Jin might be very good at reading me, or my expression but he doesn't have enough experiences to tell if I am lying or not.

Once we got there, we saw a large wooden hatch door that needs to be pulled up to open.

On the hatch itself, was the words "Jade Loveheart's Library,". And yes, I was the one that did this. But still, I acted hesitated and nervous to show them that I really don't want to go in.

Jin looked at my hesitating look and sighed out loud. That was because Jin remembers why I was hesitating. Still, we don't have much of a choice now. So, I harden my face and took this determination look on my face.

I pulled up the door and opened it to reveal a stair made out of wood planks. Jin took my hand, which was shaking- as I willed it- and descended with me, with Luke and Rebecca behind us. The kids are at home right now, cleaning the surrounding area for making another house/hut. So, only me, Jin, Rebecca and Luke was here.

One we went in, Luke took out a makeshift torch made out of raisin and plant fibers and lite it up using a flicking flint. The underground basement light up pretty well and we could see a large wooden door ahead, along with three large wooden chests to the sides of the door. Two to the right and one to the left.

"Chests? What are these for?" Jin asked, curious as he made his way to the chests on the right, leaving Luke and Rebecca to go to the left. We didn't touch the door at all. Why? Because of cautiousness.

There was no trap in here so Jin doesn't bother putting up his alert. Even though he didn't know that, his intuition and instinct made him unconsciously trusted his way. What a boy...

"Ah, those chests. I think mom put her old clothes in there for when I am older enough. I remember she said that these are for my wedding," I answered, totally telling the truth here. Jade Loveheart did leave these to Jenna. But, it wasn't for until it's her wedding. And it certainly wasn't supposed to be here. I was the one that moved everything to here, myself.

"Oh? How do we open this?" Luke curiously asked as he looks around for a key. Rebecca also curiously looked at the surrounding for any clues too. She was so quiet that I nearly forgot that she's here with us.

"Push the top to the side to open it," I answered as I opened one of them.

Inside was three different kind of toolkits. One small, beginner level, alchemy tools that I made using magic, one small sewing kit with needles and small threads, and one kit of iron tools for everyday usage. Such as a small knife, small scissors, a small iron threads that I made specifically for Luke, as he likes to fish.

I pretended to look confused as I took out the iron wires like thread and tilt my head to the side.

"Nee, Jin, Luke, what is this?" I asked as I show them the fishing iron thread that I made specifically for Lurin and Luke.

Luke's eyes shine, "Mana Fishing Thread!" He yelled out excitedly. His eyes were sparkling with a glittering looks in it.

I timely jerked my body in response and nearly drop the thread.

"Mana fishing thread?" I asked, completely looking like a curious little girl. I can see Jin's lips twitching from the corner of my eyes.

"Ah, yes. My papa had one like that. He used it to fishes for the village!" Luke excitedly explains.

I make my eyes shine like a little girl seeing her hero.

Jin twitches with a weird look in his eyes.

This boy... He's far too perceptive. I said this more than once already and I don't plan on stop saying so any time soon.

I ignored Jin, "Here, you can have it, then. I have no use for it," I said with a bright smile on my face.

Luke look like he's going to kiss me so I move away to the second chest, not giving him the chance to do so. After all, I don't want to trigger any flag nor do I want to make Lurin sad. That boy loves his brother a lot, after all. Rebecca chuckled quietly by Jin's side. I can see Jin's eyes twitching from the corner of my eyes but I ignored it.

I open the second chest and timingly froze.

"Jenna?" Jin asked from behind me- since when did he gets behind me?

I didn't answer. I just let Jin look into the chest and froze himself.

"..."

"..."

Both of us exchange looks. Inside was a pure white dress. A wedding dress, to be honest. But... that dress had this golden gloves with it that just speak of high-class and expensive thing.

"Jenna, who in the world was your mother?" He asked, sweats dropping.

"... I don't know?" I answered him back with a voice full of hesitating.

I took out the dress and ignore what was behind it and held out the dress for Luke and Rebecca to see it. I ignored Jin as he peeks deeper into the chest.

"Wow, Jenna. That's very pretty," Luke said in awe and Rebecca nodded in agreement. Her eyes were in wonderland as she looks at the wedding dress.

I also nodded in agreement but since I don't like white clothes or color, so I gave it to Rebecca.

"For you," I said to Rebecca, much to her surprise. She was older than me and I notice that she would marry before me, so I gave it to her. Not only that, but both me and Jenna herself do not like the color of the wedding dresses, which was why she didn't want it when her mother first show it to her.

"You sure, Jenna?" Rebecca asked as she hugs the wedding dress happily.

I nodded happily.

"Thanks, Jenna!" Rebecca happily replied as she hugs the wedding dress even tighter.

"Jenna? You should take a look at this," Jin said with a voice that's being suppressed with something; Excitement and awareness?

I took a peek inside and blink in my eyes in surprise.

I knew what Jade left for Jenna since I was the one that moved everything here but I was still surprised at what she left for Jenna. To think that Jade had left her behind something this powerful speaks of how much she wanted her daughter to be a mage or a magician. And how suspicious Jade Loveheart is... Just who on earth is the woman? I can read Jenna's original fate and knows about 99% of her life but Jade Loveheart... I can only read up to 40% of her fate. Mainly due to the fact that she had died in that fire already. But still, I should have been able to read her past base on Jenna's fate... Yet, I can't?

What's with this woman? She better not be with that guy, Sirayu's, group.

"This is... a wand?" It was a small white wand with hollow out designs of flowers around it. I can't use it nor do I want this wand but Rebecca could once I awakening her mana senses so, for now, I left it alone.

I took it out and held it in my hand. Yep, this wand wasn't for me.

I frown. "This wand isn't for me," I asked as I passed it to Jin.

Jin looked confusing but once he held the wand, he had this understanding looks in his eyes and he nodded.

I opened the last chest while Luke was looking at the wand that Jin passed to him before he too had this understanding looks in his eyes and passed it to Rebecca. Rebecca, who was still hugging the wedding dress with a huge smile on her face, look confused that Luke had suddenly passed her a stick.

She froze once the wand was in her hand.

"What?" I seemingly asked in surprise once I opened the third chest. The largest chest.

Both I and Jin exchange another look. There was nothing but surprise on both of our face.

Inside the third chest, there were 7 large rolls of fabrics. I recalled that these kinds of fabrics were called Oatmeal Cotton Fabric. The fabric was in dull red, dull blue, grey, dull green, dull purple, and black. Each rolls has 160 yards of fabrics that are width at 64 inches wide.

"Jenna, your mom's really awesome," Jin said with a grateful expression on his face. Jin wished that his mother was like Jenna's mother - that was on his face, easily readable.

I nodded in agreement. Even though these fabrics had nothing to do with Jade Loveheart since I used Creation Magic to created these fabrics myself.

There's enough linen fabric here to make another set of clothes for all of us and still have enough to make a makeshift blanket for each of us.

Winter is coming after all. In the last two years, the land was very hot from the dragon's fire so we didn't need a lot of firewood but this year, we will have to prepare for winter earlier than usual. This was why I create this situation.

"Luke, Jin, let's take these fabrics back home before we open the other door," I asked them, with a voice full of alertness.

Both Jin and Luke agreed. We had to take the items inside the chest out first before moving the wooden chests out. That's because it was too heavy for us kids.

So, we transfer the items out first and then took the chest out. After moving everything back to our so call home, we took a break and eat some light meal made out of Balint Porridge with a little bit of Bulbasaur's meat.

"There are enough Bulbasaur meats to last for another 5 days," I told Jin and Luke with a worried look in my eyes.

Both Jin and Luke sigh out loud. I had been reducing the number of meats and adding more Balint milk and greens to our meals but it still won't last for much longer.

"For now, let's just do what we can," Jin decided. I and Luke nodded.

Jin is the leader of this group of children so we listen to his option a lot. However, for the past 2 weeks, it seems like my innate charisma and leadership skills from deep in my soul cause the kids to also up look up me as if I was their mother - or no, their other leader. Even Jin.

After eating, we called the kids to eat lunch and went back to Jenna's mother's secret stash, the so-called library.

This time, Jin was the one that opened the door. He didn't bother to check for traps as if he knew that there were none. Well, true, there is no trap at all.

Inside, was a dusty room full of stuff.

The so-called secret basement was created by me using Earth Magic so it was sturdier compared to the other house's basement and the Loveheart's house basement. After all, this so-called secret basement was thirty meters away from the Loveheart's basement. This area is separated from the other one.

"Luke, pass me the torch," Jin asked. Luke passed him the torch.

Inside was what was truly deserve to be called a secret library.

There were four long rows of bookshelves that had been shielded away with clothes. Protecting them against dirt and water. On the side of the wall, there was four large workstation for alchemy, woodworking, glassmaking, and a slightly-high-tech loom. It wasn't the kind of loom that this world has because I made this but I made it to looks ancient enough that it cause both Jin and Luke to see it as Ancient Technology.

On the other side of the wall was ten large and long cabinets and shelves. There were stacks of plates, cups, bowls, spoons, bottles, and container with layers of dust over them on the shelves. When I nervously - acting of course- open the cabinets, inside it was cooking tools and equipment made out of odd looking metals.

I sighed out in relief, causing Jin to chuckle at me.

"Jenna, I told you that there is no ghost in this part of the world," Jin said with a teasing glint in his eyes. I just pout at him and turned away. Jin chuckled from behind me.

I am not scared of ghost, okay? But Jenna does so I have to act like it.

"Oh wow, Jenna, your mother is a beast!" Luke exclaimed with his eyes wide open. I was also surprised too. Well, I acted like it.

"Let's clean this place up first. We might be able to live in here," Jin said with a glint in his eyes.

Both me and Luke nodded as we started to clean the place up. I might have put too much dust over the place but it pretty easy to clean, so I won't complain.

Ten minutes later, just as I was thinking of a way to get Jin to open up the sheets of fabrics that was shielding the bookshelves, Jin had already gone and unshielded it himself.

"Jenna? Can you come here?" He asked me, who was cleaning the inside of the cabinet and the odd-looking iron tools. Actually, those iron were odd looking because it was mixed with steel and copper, making them more durable than normal irons.

"Yes?" I went to where Jin was at. He was in front of the largest bookshelves - which I remember putting all the beginning books for learning magic and alchemy at.

"W-what is it?" I asked Jin. He didn't answer me. He just tilted his head to the side of the bookshelves, where I had purposely left a note for myself.

I turned to where Jin indicates and see the notes that I had left behind - in disguise of Jade Loveheart.

It says;

'Hello, Little Jenna. How are you doing? Not so good, I suppose, if you were willing to come down here. If you actually were willing to come down here then that must've meant that I am dead already. So, I suppose that I should explain to you of who I really am.

Little Jenna, let mommy introduce herself to you formally okay?

My real name before I married your father was Jade Winterfell. I am the oldest daughter of an Alchemist couple. I learned and trained in making potions from my parents, your grandparents since I was little. However, your great-grandpa, my grandfather, was a magician from the royal court in this Kingdom of Ernos Kingdom- about 45 years ago to this date.

I had three younger siblings, all were male. Now, they don't exist anymore but if you want to know more about them, read the History of the Winterfell Family book that I left behind for you.

Moving on, all the books in this room was from my great-grandpa's collection and my grandparent's collection- some are unreadable to even me but you should be able to read it easily. You had always been good at reading ancient language- I am no good at such things even after learning it for years. Something that I had to save from before coming to Bulea Village, there was a couple of magic tools. I am not sure if it will still work since I am unable to use them, but if they are still working, then, Little Jenna, use them to your heart content!

Ah- just so you know, these books are all real okay?! And yes, your father knew about them, too! He just doesn't care about it!

Now, then. I am running out of space to write so, I will say the last thing.

Jenna Loveheart, don't be afraid of yourself. Don't be afraid of the memories of the past. Accepted it, learn from it and move on from it. Mother knows that you feared your body very much, Jenna. However, you must accept that fear, overcome it, and move on from it.

Knows that mother loves you regardless of what you become, okay?

Love-

Your one and only mother

Jade W. Loveheart'

It said.

Of course, I put that there.

Still, I let out a sad look and let tears gathered in my eyes. Causing Jin to twitches uncomfortably.

Still, I acted like a kid who was determined to not cry so I only sniffed a bit in the end and wipe the tears off.

I trace my hand over the so-called books that my so-called mother left for me.

All of the books were of teaching over the 9 elements. They were all written by me but since I want to make it believable, I had to write them in other languages.

I opened the first book and stop dead.

"This is... written in Magic Languages?" I asked, completely looking like a very curious child.

"Magic Languages?" Jin asked as he peeks into the book only to wince once he notes that he cannot read it, much less understand it.

The Language of Magic in this world was not that hard to learn for me. However, for the original Jenna, it was her biggest nightmare and fear- but she stills likes learning Magic Languages. However, now that I read, knowledge, and learned of everything from her memory, I found the Language of Magic in this world to be very primitive.

I started to read the books to Jin but he looks like he's in pain so I stopped.

As I finish reading the first book, I had this excited look in my eyes and turned toward Jin and Luke.

"Jenna? Why are you so excited?" Luke asked, feeling a little twitchy as I smile brightly at them.

"I can now use magic!" I said as I gather a very- very- small amount of mana on my hand and turned it into Fire Magic. A small fireball like fire lite up on my palm.

"Gasped" Both Jin and Luke gasped in awe and shocked. Rebecca's eyes widen so much that the book in her hand dropped to the floor without her knowledge.

"With this, I should be able to help build a better house for us!" I exclaimed loudly and excitedly.

A couple seconds later, both Jin and Luke's eyes glittered in understanding once they come out of their shocks. Rebecca also picked up the book that she dropped and look at us with excitement in her eyes.

The next three days went by in a blur to me. Rebecca was making new clothes for us with the clothes that we 'found' while Luke was teaching the younger kids how to read and write as best as he can while reading the magic books themselves. If smokes keep coming out of Luke's ears because of the Magic Language, then he has no one to blame but himself for wanting to learn it. While this was happening, I and Jin were making logs houses for us.

To cut the wood, I used Wind magic to cut it while using Wood Magic to dry them. To carry the wood or to lessen the weight of the logs, I used Earth and Wood magic to manipulates both gravity and the physical weight or mass of the logs. This made the logs feather-light weight so Jin had no problem carrying 20 of them at a times.

While Jin took care of the materials, I was also using magic to flat out the ground, make the foundation, the holes for the poles, and hardening the earth. First, I had to make the frame for the house. Since this house was going to be for all 11 of us, there need to be at least 15 rooms. So, three floors?

6 rooms on the first floor, 5 rooms on the second floor, and 4 rooms on the third floor.

Me, Jin, Rebecca, Luke, and Lurin's room are on the third floor. I got my own room, while Jin shared with his sister Samantha. Luke and Lurin got a room- they refused to sleep separately. Rebecca got her own room. Deana, Hilsa, and Minna shared a room. Vinna and Arise share one room.

It's like this:

Third Floors has 4 room: Room One is mine. Room Two is Luke and Lurin. Third Room is Jin and Samantha. Fourth Room is Rebecca.

Second Floor: West side room; Deana, Hilsa and Minna shared a room. Westside room; Vinna and Arise shared a room. The other three rooms on the second floor were the bathroom, storage room, and a small library.

First floor; kitchen, living room, learning room- for studying, storage room, workshops- for making stuff, and alchemy room- for me.

Since I build this house base on a pre-design blueprint, I couldn't add a basement into the design.

Using magic was meant to be very tiring. However, due to eating the Bulbasaur's meats in this past month, my stamina and endurance were not normal. It took only 6 hours for me to finished building the whole house.

This... might be a bit too fast.

I didn't pace myself well enough and finished making the house in under 6 hours.

This might be bad.

Or so I thought.

Nobody care that the house was built far too fast. In fact, they all were happy that the house had finished building.

There is no furniture inside the house, yet.

So, I asked Jin to make some beds for us.

"Beds?" Jin asked with a tilt of his head. Like he had never thought of making a bed before.

I nodded. "Now that we have a roof over our head, we should make some beds to sleep on. Even just wood one was better than the one that we are using right now, right?" I asked him, eyes glittering brightly.

"You're right, but... how do you make a bed?" Jin asked me back, confused and yet curious at the same time.

"I don't know. I watched my dad make one before but that's a long time ago. I can't remember how he does it anymore. Do you think Luke might know?" I asked Jin.

Rolling his eyes, he replied back, "No way. My house's the only woodworking house in our village so I knew that Luke's house had never made any wood furniture before. Still, my father didn't teach me how to make a bed, either." He said as he scratches his head.

"... So, we just have to experiment with it, huh." I sighed out loud. "I wonder if one of the books that mother has had any pictures of what a bed was like?" I intentionally asked myself.

"I'm going to go check. Be right back!" I said as I left behind Jin. Currently, Jin's making the stairs to our house. Well, no. That's not right. He's currently reinforcing the stairs and nailing in place so that it won't collapse, using wooden nails. Or should I say nails made with Magic Reinforce Wood - they are as strong as iron nails so it was fine using it?

Ten minutes later, I came back with an old looking parchment paper book.

It was near unreadable since I made it deliberately to look like that. So, Jin and I had to go over it for a couple of hours before we got a somewhat workable blueprint out of it.

The rest was pretty easy since it can be craft using magic.

Using magic to cut tree logs into planks, boards, poles, timbers, logs, studs, and anything else was easy to do. I made a set of example sizes, dimension, and looks for the kids to use it as the format. I then teach them how to use magic to cut the wood into such and such pieces.

It was NOT easy.

I was never good at teaching. However, that doesn't mean that I suck at it, either. I had been living for a long time, so there are things that I learned of during my journey in life. Building anything that had to do with woods was just a small, tiny, experiences out of it.

So, I taught the kids, even Jin, how to meditates first.

Because first of all, they need to awake to mana sensitivity first.

This world's Laws and Forces was slightly different from the Laws and Forces that I know of but they aren't that different. While I was teaching them how to use magic, I was also training this body too.

It's just that when it comes to Magic, I wasn't a Grandmaster for nothing. So while it took the kids ages to Awaken to Mana Sensitivity, it only took me 3 seconds to do so.

After me, was Jin. He took 2 hours to fully Awakened to Magic. I guess this teen/man/person wasn't normal either.

The rest of the kids all were partially awakened but not fully. They still need to learn, knowledge, accepted, and understand the foundation of magic more to fully awakened.

With Jin's help, it was a lot faster cutting the trees into the desired shapes. And then, have the kids filtered and refined it as magic training.

Before we knew it, another week had passed by. The house was fully built and furnished. Each room has their own nightstand, beds, dressers, chests, and wardrobes. The kitchen had cabinets and shelves for storage purposes. Jin even made a large cooking stove out of rock and cobblestone inside with a smoke channel connected to outside. Now, whenever Rebecca and I cooked, we don't have to do it outside anymore.

As for places like the bathroom and washroom, Jin made a large bathing space right next to the house while on the other side of that bathing room, there's three room, outdoor, specifically for... bowels movement.

Jin looks oddly proud after he finished making those three rooms. Of course, I really don't want to know why he look so proud so I didn't ask.

Using Earth Magic, I and Jin made it a game to see who can move the most amount of earth from the house to the river. Why? Because Jin wanted to make a pool for easier access to water. We could just use the water from the water well, but- Jin said that those are for drinking and food only. Water for bathing will have to come from a different location. And I agree only because this way, we both get more practice using magic.

Yes, we are making a water reservoir.

The distance that the water reservoir was about 10 meters away from the main house. The river which the water came from was about 12 miles away.

Between here and there, there's a large boulder that needed to be cleared out. However, Jin said that instead of clearing out that boulder, maybe we should make a tank on top of the boulder that could filter out the water from the lake.

... I forgot! I forgot that normal human can't, shouldn't, drink directly from river water! No matter how fresh it looks like!

I nodded toward Jin, looking slightly confused and uncleared.

"You okay, Jenna? You look a little unsettling," He asked.

I nodded, not answering him.

"... Jin, the water that we had been using from the waterwell wasn't purified or filter, either. Was it safe?" I asked, forgetting that the water from the well was already filtered and purified by the rocks and natural fire stones underneath the well.

"... It's safe," Jin answered back with a slightly amused look on his face.

"That's good," I sighed in relief.

Jin looked amused at the relief so I just lightly kicked his shin in retaliate. He only giggle in return.

Three days later, Jin and I had successfully built a high raise tank water made out of stones, woods, and clay. The size was about 8 meters by 12 meters by 3 meters, able to hold up to 288 cubic meters of volumes of water. Or 73968 gallons of water, more or less. That's enough to last through the years to come.

With the water tank as it is, it wasn't good for winter but that's not a problem right now. As both I and Jin are still training our Water Element Magic, we could use this opportunity to created a underground water-system underneath the house for the winter.

Now that water was secured, we have to worry about food. Last year, it was not that hard to get food because of the secured storage house in the village, but those food aren't edible now.

So, food.

Sigh... Mortal have to worry about food.

Jin wanted to use magic to hunt for small games but I told him no. Not because he isn't strong enough, but rather because Jin has no clue what it meant to be hunting with magic means.

As a result, we put the thought of hunting for foods on hold for now. Instead, we focus on safer mean and scavenges the old houses in the village. Sometimes when I deemed that certain house has enough historical values and secrets enough, I would create another so-called "looting experiences/locations" for us kids.

In those "looting experiences/locations", we found things like iron tools, everyday essential items, fabrics, clothes, meds, potions, books, painting, and a lot of old-secrets that the villagers don't want other people to know about.

In the old villager's chef's house, we found out that the old man was a pervert who likes his own sister's husband. But, the old man doesn't want to hurt his sister so he moved to this villages and left them behind. He married the previous chef's daughter, had three children and find out that his heart was still with that man. But since he does love his wife- to a certain extent, he was happy to stay here. Content, that was.

But then, that so-called husband of his sister came to this village for some reason. And the rest is history...

Let's just says that the sister had always known about her husband's feeling toward her brother and her brother's feeling toward her husband. Which was why she had long ago accepted the thoughts that one day, both men would leave her. However, she also knew that her brother loves her a lot, and didn't want to hurt her. So, she was torn between love and hate of her own husband and brother.

She loves them both but also hates the thoughts that because of her, both of the men that she loves will be hurt. In the end, her feelings caused her health to declined until only her body was left behind: She tortures herself with her feelings of guilts, hates, love, and madness until there's nothing but her body left behind.

The previous village chef cried and cried and until he has no tears left, he talked to that man about his feeling for him and his love for his sister.

But by then, it was already too late. That man was already near death's door. They did stay together for a couple of days but... it wasn't enough. Soon after that man passed away, the previous village chef chose the current village chef that was here before the fire.

His wife, the previous chef before the one that Jenna knew, was a very understanding woman. She even gave him permission and tried to get the two-man to marry. Unsuccessful, but she did try.

In the end, nothing happened aside from all the emotional damages that the three sides got.

At least, they got to be with each other after death. I didn't even get to be with Kainen after all this time... Not good, thinking about Kainen right now is no good, Megie.

"Jenna?" A breathless, lost, confused, and a worried voice called out. "W-why are you crying?!" Jin sounded panic.

I snapped out of my thinking. "S-sorry... for some reason, I... feel so sad and solemn there for a second," I said as I try to stay in Jenna's characters and smile. I failed so damn badly.

Before I knew it, someone's hand was on my face, wiping away the tears. I opened my eyes- when did I close it? - and see a very frustrated, lost, confused, worried, and yet familiarity looks within Jin's eyes... Familiarity?

"Why are you crying?!" He grinds his teeth in frustration. Anger at himself for not understanding why he's acting like that and why Jenna's crying. He's confusing over his own feeling.

"I am fine. Sorry for worrying you," I said as I step back. Jin was too close to my face for comfort.

Jin looks hesitating but he nodded.

That boy's going to watch over me now... Sigh.

Ignoring Jin, I calm down as I continue to limits myself and practice casing fire, earth, wind, and water magic ball into the air. And then, I changed its shapes from a circle into a long line and intersect it into a magic circle. I let them go, dissipating into the world and summon them up again. I repeated this action until there were a constant flying magic balls of the four elements over my head.

Jin just looks at me with awes for a couple seconds before he too started to practice his own fire, earth and water element. His weakest was water element but he wasn't going to use it like how I did.

Instead, Jin uses the water as a support for the Fire and Earth Elemental Magic balls. When he successfully bring up 2 balls from the Earth and Fire Elements, he closed his eyes and started to meditates, while keeping the magic balls hovering around him, with himself being the center of it.

The two hovering balls turn into three, three turns into four, and finally, it turns into five. For now, that's the limit of what Jin can cast.

While Jin was manipulating up to five balls of elements, I had around me 35 of each element. This was only because I am limiting myself, testing the limit that mana regenerates in this body, and how flawed or flawless this body can handle the flows of mana in the air, in her body, outside her body, and inside her body.

The answers: Nonexistent.

Such things like limit or flaw weren't something that this body knows of. I am not sure if that was because of my soul or because this body was made this way. Nevertheless, this body was made to grows in power for my soul which was very powerful.

Strength wise, this body was very weak- currently. Agility, stamina, intellect, and spirits were all within the soul- and my soul wasn't weak. Things like mana capacity were growing at a rate that would normally cause any other human or beasts body to explode. However, with my will, control, knowledge of the magic themselves, mastery over them, and my attributes over them- it was not even a problem.

Now, all I need to worry about was Jin. And because Jin was oddly strong, even, in my opinion, I have to be careful of what I taught him and how I advise him.

Nonetheless, I notice that Jin might be more suit to being a warrior, hunter, or other professions than being a magician or a wizard. I am not sure why that was, because clearly, Jin was pretty good at Magic too. So this might be a question of his innate, soul-wise, comprehension and understanding over the Forces and Laws of the magic themselves.

Even I am not stupid enough to not notice that my comprehension over the Forces and Laws was what caused this body to grows at a … monstrous rate.

As for Jin, he could be called a genius easily with how he could understand and control his magic. Now that he could use control up to 5 balls of elements at a time, it was time for him to learn how to fuse those balls into something more deadly.

Three hours later, I left Jin alone to his meditation and went to make some food for the kids. The meats from the Bulbasaur was used up on this meal so I made sure to add an extra large portion of Balint Milk and the Void mushrooms that I had Lurin went to pick up.

This might not taste that good but it is very good for the kids who are still only a partial awakened.

After we had our lunch, Rebecca, Deana, and Lurin when to the river to gather some more mushrooms and fishes while the rest of the kids stay home to read and practice their writing skills.

They can only do basic math, basic writing, and reading but they were really happy now.

All that's left to worry about was more food for the winter. Which, shouldn't be a problem now that Jin and I had started to learn combat magic.

While Jin is meditating, I went into the forest nearby and start hunting small games for more food. Unlike Jin, I don't have any problem with using magic to hunt.
