14 Chapter 14 - The Wonderous Plan!
Zefer was on his way to school, wearing his uniform and all. He had washed it before showering. Thankfully, no matter what District they were in, all homes had washers and dryers. That was simply because such appliances had little to no upkeep and were easy to produce and manufacture.
So, Zefer's uniform was brand new and clean as he even ironed it out. As he went past the checkpoint, the guards looked him over since they didn't know who he was. Zefer had forgotten about the difference in his status. So now, he began to wonder if there would be some difference; however, the guards just waved him off.
"Perhaps they think I belong to the Upper or Middle District..." Zefer thought as he moved along; meanwhile, others wondered who he was. "Well, you did change quite a bit. Besides, the Eye of a Runic Warrior isn't something to scoff at. Those people probably believe you are a strong person. So they don't want anything to do with you." Ina explained.
"So, I can intimidate people with just my appearance alone?" Zefer asked. "Not quite. Just people who are naturally scared or fearful. The strong and those with keen senses will realize you aren't as strong as you seem. At least, not yet anyway." Ina added the last part since she knew Zefer would eventually become a mighty Rune Warrior.
As Zefer passed the checkpoint, he looked at all of the people. Some female looks lingered on him, ranging from people around his age to middle-aged women. "Do they not recognize me?" Zefer thought to himself. "As I said, those small changes made a significant impact on you. They get the feeling that they are in the presence of a strong man." Ina answered Zefer, recapping what she just said.
"Well, that's convenient. Anyways, let's get started. I'll run to school." Zefer said and started part of his daily quest:

Once he arrived at school, finishing off a small piece of bread he had bought on the way thanks to a little discount, he noticed that the progression for building up his body had gone up. {25/100} That was the progression for that part. He figured he could cultivate his energy at home. So, he decided to save that part for when he returned home. As he was now at school, he would put his plan into motion. Since it was just before classes started, people were coming into the academy; he used his inspect skill on some of the students he saw.
He saw various statuses, but he was looking for particular types of people. These people didn't need to be first years, more so, just people around his stats. When he finally found someone, he saw a group of people surrounding them. It looked as if that person was the leader of this group of people. He inspected all of their statuses and tried his best to hide his shit-eating grin. Thankfully, he was capable of doing it.

Thanks to his increases from yesterday, he now had 8 Strength, 22 Endurance, 8 Agility, 27 Wisdom, and still 32 Intelligence. He surpassed their stats, even if it was only by a couple of points, including his charm stat.
With his targets set, he approached them. The person in the middle, Jay, looked decent. With blonde hair and green eyes, the boy seemed to be capable of getting attention from girls. One of those girls was a brunette with short hair and brown eyes. She was clinging onto Jay's arm with a smile and even brushing her medium size bust against him. This person was Karin, and she seemed happy to be with her lover Jay. Conversing with Jay was Luke and Doran. They didn't even look half as good as Jay.
Luke had some weight to him, while Doran was like a twig with goofy glasses and a pimply face. Regardless, it seemed like these four were Zefer's targets. They would be the start of Zefer's wonderous plan!
"Huh, who is that?" Jay asked, noticing some hot-looking guy coming over to them. Then he saw the unique eye and instantly felt like he should kneel or bow down before this person, even try to steer clear of this person. Luke and Doran looked at the approaching person, but they didn't know who it was.
"I've never seen such a hottie in this school before; I wonder if he is a transfer..." Karin thought to herself as she looked over Zefer. Without wasting any time and deciding not to introduce himself, Zefer went ahead with his plan.
"Jay Justin, All-In Battle," Zefer said few words, but these few words struck fear in Jay. "What the hell!?" Jay thought, but all of that fear went away when he saw the screen in front of him.

"Only one Coin? Is he playing around? Wait... he said All-In, which means he has no money. Did he lose all of his money or something!? What if he is just a weakling..." Jay thought, trying to analyze everything, but there wasn't much to go off. The Gambit's Battle screen never showed the person's name. As long as the challenger was in front of the person and knew their name, they could start a request.
One could decline the request, but several factors came with it. Such as humiliation if anyone was around and they refused; it could be seen as the person rejecting was weak. Since everyone could see the screens, Karin, Luke, and Doran looked at the screen in front of Jay. "One Coin? Just accept, beat his ass, and let's move on." Luke said.
"I agree. It's quite clear that he is probably weak," Doran said, not genuinely fazed by Zefer's unique eye. He knew that people could change their eyes with today's technology, making them appear unique and extraordinary. The problem was that it cost a fortune to do so. Therefore, this person could have saved up any allowance given to them by their parents and spent it on that, then decided to go around challenging people to make their money back.
"Awe... he's a weakling... That sucks. He is kinda hot." Karin complained internally. Jay just said, "To hell with it," and pushed the accept button. Once he did, a field was created, just like when Katie fought against Zefer two days ago. Karin, Luke, and Doran had moved away from Jay to give him space. Even if they didn't, they would be pushed out by the field, which only encompassed Jay and Zefer.
"Alright, punk-ass, let's get this over with," Jay said while water started to formulate around him, creating water bullets. Zefer's disinterested face turned into an evident smirk, "Let's try that, shall we?" Zefer said. Small dark purple and neon blue mixed color orbs appeared around Zefer, similar to Jay's water bullets, then with a motion with his hand, the bullets shot outward.

A ding sounded off, and a message appeared in front of Zefer, which he glanced away before seeing the small rune bullets clash with Jay's water bullets. "What the fuck kind of element is that!? Is that fire!?" Jay exclaimed at what he saw. He originally planned on shooting one water bullet at a time at Zefer to get him to give up. Jay wasn't an evil person. He didn't torture people. He was annoyed since this random person came up to him and asked him for a fight first thing in the morning.
Yet, when he saw the barrage of strange colored bullets coming at him, he countered with his own. The problem came afterward; the strange bullets snuffed out his own. So he had to create a wall of water to defend himself. Luckily, the odd bullets did not break through the thick wall of water.
The problem was this left Jay a bit exhausted since he didn't know how much water he needed to create to protect himself. He used the thickest wall he could muster and thus consumed a lot of his Mana. "Interesting, Water Wall..." Zefer said, analyzing his opponent. "But, that isn't going to be enough..." Zefer followed up and dashed straight towards Jay.
Zefer layered his hand with Runic Energy and slammed his hand through the water wall, breaking past it only to take hold of Jay's neck and pull him through the water and slam him into the ground. An imprint of a hand could be seen slightly burned into Jay's neck, but Jay wasn't knocked out. Not yet, it seemed.
Zefer was about to sock the man in the face to finish him off, but he shouted at the top of his lungs, "I GIVE UP!" This signaled the end of the battle, and a stand-by medical team came rushing over. Zefer stopped himself from punching Jay since he knew what would happen if he continued he would be in trouble. When a match ended, if one continued onward and got in the way of the medical team, there was a severe punishment. Everyone was about to leave, but they were stopped since someone said something.
"Luke Lard, All-In battle."
