2 Chapter-2

Party was in the packhouse because it was supposed to be a surprise and also the house was big enough to accommodate more than 500 people, as the packhouse was like a castle itself.

Party was going really well and everyone was enjoying it. Till now every guest has joined the party but the one the party was decided for was not here yet. Everyone was eager to meet him because what he had done was nothing less than a miracle. He not only performed the best scores in the training but also completed the training a year before his companions. He passed the final test at the age of 18 which was a miracle for everyone.

Every girl in the hall was talking about him, after all, he was not only known for his power but also for his looks. He was youngest in the academy and also one of the most handsome. All the girls of his age wanted to be his mate and who wouldn't when it comes to the Alpha of biggest pack in the world.

Suddenly all the lights went out and it became pitch dark and everyone went silent. Soon after a car parked outside the gate and door opened. Footsteps were heard quite firmly on the stairs. The door creaked open and in came a tall figure. He turned back and closed the door silently.

But suddenly all the light flicked on the everyone shouted in the same tone, "Welcome Back!" The guy could be said to be surprised and he smiled ear to ear. He said in a surprise but a confused tone, "I thought all of you are asleep." Alpha came to him and said, "How could we be asleep when our talented son came back to us." Pride could be heard in his voice clearly.

Micheal only smiled and hugged him saying, "I missed you dad." Alpha hugged back with the same force, saying, "Me too, son, me too." Luna came forward and said, "Do you not want to greet your mother?" Micheal only laughed and said, "Mom! You know that's not true." Luna hugged her son and the family moment was captured by the photographer.

Alpha said, "Now, its time to enjoy." And everyone cheered at him. Micheal went up to his room to get a change. Everyone at the party was enjoying except the girls of age 18. They all wanted Micheal to come down and see if he is mated to any of them or not.

Meanwhile, Micheal was thinking about his mate too. He thought to himself, 'How would I feel when I will meet my mate? Would she be tall? Or short? But what if she is an omega? Wait no! She cannot be an omega. I know I am such a talented guy, I will be having only Alpha blood with me. Moon Goddess cannot be cruel with me. My girl will be meeting both, my standards and my royal blood.'

With that he put he perfume for the final touch and went down to the hall. He started to talk to different people and started to roam around the whole house but couldn't find his mate anywhere. Party was about to over when Alpha and Luna got a mic and said, "Greeting to all the people who have joined us here."

It made everyone's attention towards them and Alpha continued, "As you all know, we are here for the welcome party of my son who has performed a miracle. He had done something which was never done before. He completed his training a year before. Right now both I and his mother are really proud of him. So being the Alpha and Luna of this pack, we have decided to make Micheal our new Alpha."

Everyone clapped to it and Micheal came forward. He looked into his father's eyes and said, "I promise to fulfil my duty to the fullest." Alpha nodded and announced, "The blood oath would be taken tomorrow."

But suddenly the clock hit the twelve and it started to chime in its DING-DONG-DING-DONG manner, making everyone stun because it was an ancestral clock which never chimed before. Alpha and Luna stared at each other with wonder. But Micheal sniffed a wired scent. He asked, "What's this wired scent?"

Alpha looked at him confused, "What scent?"

Micheal said, "Mixture of oak-wood and something else. I do not know, but it's soothing." Suddenly his eyes went wide, "Mate!" He said and went towards the kitchen. Everyone made a way to him. When he reached the kitchen, he saw a girl with open red hair and her back towards him. Even from the back, she looked perfect in the figure. Soon the girl turned and both of their faces fell.

He shouted "No! It can't be true!" The girl flinched as the plate from her hand fell. He looked at her in pure disgust and said, "Why don't you go and die somewhere?" Before the girl could say anything Micheal said, "I reject you as my mate, whatever your name is, girl."

Laura felt this pain like some has stabbed her as she stood frozen to her place. She felt like some set fire on her body at an instance. Reject from a mate was something she had never thought of. All of her princess stories shattered into millions of pieces.

Soon Alpha and Luna came there and they were shocked too. Before anyone could react to anything, Laura ran. She ran out of the hall, tear slipping through her eyes shamelessly, she just ran. No one tried to stop her or even say anything. They all were too shocked to actually say anything. She didn't know what she was doing but she knew she needs to getaway. Very, very, very far away from this place. From her mate. She knew she was equal to dead now, even being a rough and also as the mate of Alpha of the pack.

Now she couldn't care less, so she just ran and ran. Her torn up shoes were not really helping her in the snow, but she didn't care. She ran and ran...
