146 Stalking the Captain

Hugo observed the actions of the militia through the scope of his railgun from his hideout two miles away. He saw Captain Izad whisper a few words to his assistant. The assistant rushed off and started giving orders to the men positioned near the gate. They immediately rushed into the market.

The raid had finally started. Captain Izad stayed put before the gate. Hugo felt the compulsion to finish him off right then. But, his instincts screamed he wouldn't be successful. He continued observing the happenings in the market. Freya had warned him about half a dozen kings in the ranks of the militia. If they cornered him, he would be hard-pressed to escape.

"The Migotir Royal Guards seem to be really serious about this," Hugo informed Freya through telepathy. "Can you monitor what's going on in there?" He asked.

"Not at the moment," Freya replied. "There is a concealment barrier enveloping the whole market. I can't tell what's happening inside."
