731 Extra 19: Change the World (12)

Kurama was silent as he thought about the possibilities before shaking his head.

"What are you going to do with this information?" - Grandfather Higurashi asked as he looked at the silver-haired man with a serious expression.

"Honestly, I have some ideas to put into action now that I know this, so it's quite possible that I'll change the past, although that's a bit tricky because fate one way or another is going to make the Yokai population almost completely disappear" - Kurama answered with a frown because after researching this era a bit more, he discovered that the number of Yokai that were still alive, was easily countable on the fingers of the hands, which was sad.

"Do you know what happened to the Yokai?" - Grandfather Higurashi asked while raising an eyebrow - "According to this information, my ancestor said that slowly the Yokai were disappearing after the destruction of the golden city."

Kurama was silent before thinking of a possibility, though he decided not to say it because after thinking about it some more he discovered that that was the most accurate answer for the overall situation, and at the same time that would explain why the Yokai slowly became extinct.

"Kurama-dono?" - Grandfather Higurashi asked as he looked closely at the white-haired man. He was now treating him with respect, after all, he was one of the people who had helped create his lineage.

"Oh, sorry, I was just thinking about some things" - Kurama replied as he shook his head.

"Anyway, what are you going to do now?" - Grandpa Higurashi asked.

"Well, I have a date with a girl named Hitomi Tanaka" - replied Kurama while shrugging his shoulders.

"Like the adult movie actress?" - Grandpa Higurashi asked while raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, I met her by accident while investigating the area" - replied Kurama while scratching his cheek - "It seems like she was looking for a location for a new movie and was surprised after seeing me, in the end we ended up chatting about our lives, and now we are going for the second date."

Grandpa Higurashi was silent as he shook his head, after all, what Kurama did wasn't his problem, although if he was honest, he was jealous of the youth and appearance of the man in front of him.

A day later, Kagome was a bit perplexed that she couldn't find Kurama anywhere.

"Where is he?" - Kagome muttered with a frown because today was the day they were to return to the feudal era.

"I'm sorry I'm late," Kurama said as he appeared with a companion.

"Who is she?" - Kagome asked with a frown as she saw the woman accompanying the man who had caused her emotions to run wild.

"Oh, I'm not an important person, I just came to say goodbye to this guy" - replied the woman with a flirtatious and slightly childish tone, which contrasted with her seductive body, although Kagome couldn't notice this because the woman's clothes hid her curves very well - "See you, sweetie ~"

"I'll call you when I get back" - Kurama nodded calmly as he vanished the woman with a motion of his hands.

Kagome raised an eyebrow because she wasn't expecting something like this.

" What? I'm honest with the people I care about" - Kurama replied as he shrugged his shoulders, not to mention that he had not only talked about his identity with this woman, but he had also given her some protection methods and some advice, along with a huge monetary help to "help her out of her current situation", after all, no matter how kind and magnanimous the silver haired man was, he didn't like to share.

"Who was she, and why didn't she show her face?" - Kagome asked with a frown.

Kurama raised an eyebrow as he sensed the girl's jealousy, though he quickly shook his head, after all, this young girl had neither the right, nor the motive to meddle in his affairs.

Kagome was silent before she snorted in annoyance because it was obvious that the Kitsune wouldn't answer her doubts, so she quickly turned her attention back to the current problem.

"Good luck, sweetie," Kimi said as she handed a few bags to her daughter to get ready, though she had to admit she wasn't too happy about the idea of her getting into danger.

"Relax, Kimi-san, she'll be fine, and we'll be back in three days" - Kurama replied as he tried to reassure the woman.

"I hope you keep your promise, Kurama-san" - Kimi said seriously as she looked carefully at the silver-haired Kitsune - "Kagome is someone who easily gets into trouble, so I'm going to expect you to take care of her."

"Mom..." - Kagome muttered with annoyance.

"I'm serious," Kimi replied as she looked at her daughter, "Ever since you were a little girl, you always get into multiple troubles, or do you want me to remind you how you ended up being chased by a group of clowns when we went to the circus?"

Kagome's expression darkened when she heard this.

"Or do you want me to say how I had to apologize when you disappeared and ended up going into the boys' dressing rooms when we went to the pool?" - Kimi asked as she watched her daughter squirm in embarrassment - "Do you want me to go on? I'm asking because I have at least 20 more awkward situations that came up because you got in trouble, like that time at the observatory..."

"Okay, I get it, I'll be careful!" - Kagome exclaimed red-faced as she watched her mother give her a smile of victory, after all, it was a fatal mistake to fight a mother when she knew all or the vast majority of her children's embarrassing secrets.

Kurama watched this with amusement, though he quickly shook his head and concentrated on the pose - "I think it's time."

"Ok" - Kagome nodded as she walked over to the well and dismounted a ladder they had set up the night before - "I'll be back in three days."

"Take care, daughter" - Kimi said as she nodded weakly.

"Bring me a souvenir, sis" - smiled Sota as she watched her sister give her a blank stare - "And take care of yourself"

"I will, shrimp" - Kagome snorted as she looked at her grandfather, who quickly handed her a bag full of talismans - "What are these?"

"They are special talismans, they were created with the methods my ancestor wrote on an ancient scroll" - answered grandfather Higurashi.

Kagome tried to tell him that they were not necessary, but the grandfather quickly interrupted her - "Granddaughter, these talismans are 100% real and effective, as I said, they were created with our ancestor's instructions, and before you say something silly, I have to tell you that our ancestor was part of the city that Kurama-dono will create, as well as one of the people who was under the care and protection of Izumi-sama"

Kagome looked at her grandfather, then looked at Kurama with surprise, after all, she didn't expect something like this to happen - "Is this true?"

"Yes, at least all the information I could see in your grandfather's scrolls, are things that I would do" - answered Kurama calmly - "Although it's better we leave that for another time, now we have to go back to the feudal era"

"Ok" - nodded Kagome as she jumped into the well without fear because she trusted Kurama's words, and how there was no problem with her safety.

Kimi let out a gasp at this as she felt her heart leap to her throat, though her expression changed when she saw how a mystical glow appeared at the bottom of the well. She quickly ran to the place she had previously sealed, and saw how her daughter was nowhere to be found.

"Impressive," Grandfather Higurashi muttered as he watched Kurama jump up behind his granddaughter. He quickly looked down, though when he did, he felt he could do nothing but quickly close his eyes, after all, the light resulting from the movement between eras, was blinding.

Kimi was silent before letting out a heavy sigh - "Will they be alright?"

"Well, Kurama-dono is someone so powerful that many stories of our culture ended up distorted over time, so I'm sure my granddaughter will be fine beside him" - Grandpa Higurashi replied as he started to think - "Anyway, I think we'd better go back inside the house because we have to create an alibi for my granddaughter now that she went to the feudal era."

"Right, I'm going to call the school to tell them that Kagome is sick and won't be able to go for a few days" - replied Kimi as he told his son to come back, only to see how they had left the TV on.
