"My job as my fiancée's protector, started faster than I thought" - Kurama said as he appeared in front of the family, only to take the sword with a frown and notice how it didn't look much different from a normal weapon, which meant only one thing - "I guess I'll take care of this as quickly as possible to continue with my job".

"Wait!" - Shirahoshi exclaimed, only to see how Kurama had disappeared - ". . ."

"Relax, he's just protecting you from afar" - said Fukaboshi as she stroked her younger sister's hair.

"OK" - nodded Shirahoshi as she looked towards the place where her fiancé had disappeared.

"I still can't believe my princess is engaged" - muttered Otohime as she looked at her daughter.

"Okaa-sama!" - Shirahoshi exclaimed with a red face.

"Maybe it's not as bad as we thought" - said Fukaboshi as his brothers nodded calmly.

"I'm not happy that you tried to attack my fiancée" - said Kurama as he scowled at the creature in front of him.

"This isn't happening!" - muttered a grayish-skinned, four-legged, long-lived Gyojin - "She's mine!"

Kurama frowned even more as he watched the man begin to lose his sanity.

"She's mine, and you're forcing her to follow you!" - roared the Gyojin angrily as his eyes turned red - "Die!"

Kurama gave him a bored look as he watched countless weapons fly in his direction.

"Hahaha hahaha! Die! DIE!" - Vander Decken IX roared as he let out a laugh - "DIE!"

"Really?" - Kurama asked as he glared at Decken.

"Huh?" - Vander Decken froze as he saw how Kurama hadn't taken any damage, in fact, the weapons he had thrown, hadn't even touched his skin - "Impossible."

"Ok, I guess that would be it, now, DIE" - Kurama growled neutrally.

Decken's eyes clouded slightly as his body fell to the ground.

Kurama had only used a few words to kill the man, which wasn't that difficult thanks to the difference in power between the two.

He had done it this way because Decken hadn't earned his respect, or was at least strong enough to amuse him a bit.

"Attacking a girl, just for your megalomaniac desire, you disgust me" - Kurama said with disgust as he looked at the Gyojin one last time before making his body disappear without a trace - "Well, with this that's one less problem, now I need to get on with my work."

Kurama again shook his head before disappearing from the place, not noticing how someone was silently watching him.

"That monster" - said a white shark Gyojin as he glared hatefully at the man who had escaped - "I knew it, humans don't deserve to keep living."

Hody Jones had come to talk to Decken about an alliance to take control of [Gyojin Island], but now that he was dead, there wasn't much he could do but rage after hearing how his king had promised the princess to a filthy human.

"Neptune doesn't deserve to be in power anymore, not with his shitty decisions" - Hody growled as he turned around and walked towards their base of operations, this information could give them a huge advantage, after all, people were still hurting from Otohime's death.

Kurama quickly finished with his work and reappeared at Neptune's palace, only to see how the family seemed to be waiting for him.

"Everything okay?" - Otohime asked with concern.

"The barrier covering [Gyojin Island], has been lifted, there will no longer be any problems with attacks from hostile parties, although after this I will announce that you are under my protection" - said Kurama calmly as he started to think - "I will talk to Edward Newgate about this."

"Thank you, Jamon" - nodded Neptune as he looked at his wife with a smile.

"As for Shirahoshi's attacker, I already took care of him" - said Kurama as he shook his head - "He was a strange Gyojin who wished to marry the princess."

"He had an [Akuma no Mi], didn't he?" - Fukaboshi asked with a frown.

"That's right" - nodded Kurama as he started to think - "I'm becoming more and more fascinated by the strange abilities of those fruits."

He quickly pulled out the fruit he had gotten after killing Kaido, just to ponder.

Shirahoshi stared at the fruit in surprise as he felt his stomach begin to rumble from hunger.

The other family members were chatting amongst themselves, and Kurama was showing a carefree attitude as he sank into his thoughts, but everyone's expression changed when they heard the sound of someone spitting.

"It tastes horrible!" - Shirahoshi shouted as tears ran down her cheeks - "Huh? Why do I feel heavy?"

"Did she eat that fruit?" - Otohime asked in terror.

Neptune and his sons, froze when they saw this as they looked worriedly at their little princess.

Kurama was equally shocked because he hadn't sensed Shirahoshi's actions until she spat because of the tasteless flavor of the fruit - "Am I rusting?"

"If a human eats a cursed fruit, they lose the ability to swim and become enemies of the ocean, but Shirahoshi is a mermaid, and the current form of [Poseidon]" - Kurama said as he looked at the princess of [Gyojin Island] - "So, what will happen? Will the sea reject her, or will it continue to care for her with all its affection?"

No one was paying attention to Kurama's words, they were surrounding Shirahoshi, hoping that she was alright.

"Do you feel strange, daughter?" - Otohime asked with concern as she erratically circled her daughter's body to see any drastic changes.

"No" - Shirahoshi replied, only to be surprised to see her pink hair and scales, starting to change to a beautiful sapphire blue color - "Huh? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH?!"

"Kurama-dono! What kind of fruit was that!" - Otohime exclaimed as she turned to look at the white-haired man with a terrified and confused expression.

"Uo Uo no Mi: Seiryu model" - replied Kurama as he scratched his cheek.

"Seiryu? Like the guardian god of water and the east?" - Fukaboshi asked in surprise as she looked at her younger sister with increased terror.

"Shira-chan, try to swim" - said Mamboshi as she looked seriously at her sister, which she didn't do much.

"Uh, ok" - nodded Shirahoshi as she wiggled her fin, only to frown at how she couldn't move - ". . ."

"This is bad, how is she going to move now" - muttered Ryuboshi as he watched his sister start to cry.

"I think I have the solution" - said Kurama as he walked over to Shirahoshi and put his hand on her chest.

The girl blushed as her brothers started to get furious, but everyone's expression changed as Kurama pulled a strange dark aura from the mermaid's body.

"Try swimming again" - Kurama said as he started to think.

"OK!" - Shirahoshi nodded, only to laugh happily as she saw how everything was back to normal, even the heavy feeling surrounding her body, was gone.

"With that, my job is done, though I honestly didn't expect her to eat that fruit" - said Kurama while shaking his head.

"Our sister has a natural talent for getting into trouble" - replied Ryuboshi, as his other two brothers let out a laugh.

Otohime could finally sigh with relief as she saw how her daughter was back to normal, or at least as normal as possible now that she could transform into a dragon.

Neptune on the other hand didn't know what to say.

With this, his daughter would be much safer, and she wouldn't have to force herself to use [Poseidon's] ability.

Shirahoshi was so happy, she didn't notice that she had transformed into a beautiful blue dragon, very different from Kaido's version that seemed to be in a constant state of drunkenness.

"I have to admit that Shirahoshi's new form is majestic, worthy of what one would expect from a guardian god" - Otohime said appreciatively - "But"

"It's too big, Jamon" - added Neptune as he sighed regretfully.

Shirahoshi was already big by default and transformed into a dragon her size had multiplied at least 15 times.

She could only swim inside the palace because it had been designed to accommodate creatures of enormous sizes, such as whales, or Sea Kings.

"Do you think you have a solution for this?" - Ryuboshi asked as he looked at his future brother-in-law.

"Do you guys think I'm a robot cat from the future who can pull all the tricks out of his magic pocket?" - Kurama asked as he rolled his eyes at the prince of [Gyojin Island].

"I don't know what you're talking about, but I'd like to assume so" - nodded Ryuboshi calmly.

Kurama sighed before throwing a strange talisman at the girl, only for her to fall to the ground with a confused expression because, for some strange reason, she felt something weird in her fin.

"There, now she's not only a normal size, but she can walk like an ordinary human" - Kurama replied while shaking his head.
