Prologue

Eira looked on from her window at her siblings playing in the snow. She knew she was not allowed to but she wished she could be like them too free from the shackles that bind her just for once.

For as long she could remember,her parents never allowed her to make contact others due to fears unknown to her.

She had been alone in this room for as long as she could remember, restricted to admiring joy from a distance.

But today she was going to try and unbind the shackles of fear her parents had forced upon her which eluded her as she had no reason or cause for fear.

She had calculated,seconds minutes hours days months to be able to make the perfect escape to talk to her siblings and feel the joy they felt whenever they casted magic.

she could feel the elements in the air they shimmered over her skin like silk trying to grab them was futile so she thought she didn't have elemental powers like the others.
