Zi Shadow found himself face to face with an unexpected visitor.

''Hello brother, aren't you happy to see me? ''

''Zi Cain, what are you doing here, the lord left me in charge of safeguarding the madam and her child'.'

''Ha Ha Ha, Shadow you dense fool don't you realise the reason of me being here? I'm here with the sole purpose of killing the woman and the boy. ''

''How dare you betray the lord? Don't you know that if the lord finds out of what you're trying to do here,he will spare you no mercy?''

''I am not afraid of the lord retaliation, lady Zara offered me more than enough benefits, and who knows you might have to call her Madam in the future, and besides he will never know of what happened here.''

''I'll never let you murder them.''

''I'm afraid you no longer have a saying in this, as of right now you are on death's door, the silent torment runs through every person in the village including them, I thought I showed some mercy and let you die by my own hands.''

Zi Cain lunged at Shadow with a knife aiming straight for his heart, but as soon as the blade was inches of Shadow's heart, Shadow mysteriously disappeared.

''Impossible¬ What happened? Where are you? Show yourself! ''

The next second he felt his body turn cold as a hand pierced his chest.

''No! how could you? You, you are a shade?''

***Shade - is a body made of dark mana, usually the spirit of a dead person.***

''Exactly I'm Shadow, the Shadow of Death.''

''How could the lord be in possession of a shade? why would you act so submissive to him anyway?''

''Because he saved me and gave me a purpose to my existence.''

Zi Cain fell to the ground, dying with his eyes open in disbelief. Just as Shadow turned around to return to the village, he felt intense pressure in the surroundings and lost perception.

''Looks like that brat left this shade guarding the village, not half bad but still not good enough.''

The woman who spoke was dressed entirely in red and was followed by two little girls dressed in yellow, the only thing similar was that the three of them had each a veil covering their faces.

The two little girls had similar features, and if somebody looked closely enough, they could tell that the two were twins.

''June, Julie; burn this man's corpse and follow me shortly after .''

''Yes Master, what about the shade? ''

''Leave him be, none of our concern, he will be the one to notify that damn brat of what happened here tonight. Let's go!''
