1 The horrifying past
Revenge and Love are the two stories that change a man's life forever. Once you fall in love, you get betrayed. The betrayal causes anger and you want to seek revenge. But what will happen when you want revenge and fall in love?
Love is a simple word used to describe a man's feeling towards the person to whom his heart melted for whereas hate describes a man's anger and hate towards the other person who betrayed them.
When a person has love he has revenge, it is the law of nature that cannot be changed.
Mei Zixin was only a 7year old kid when her family was murdered. She was the one and only princess of the small kingdom of Mei. She was named after her kingdom. She was her father king Ming-Tun and mother queen Chuntao's favorite child. She had an older brother who was 12 years older than him. His name was Minsheng. He was the only boy child born to the family. He was also the crown prince of the Mei kingdom. He had all the good qualities of a king. He was good in literature as well as swordsmen's ships.
It was his wedding day when the incident happened, His marriage was fixed with the lady Jiao Tang who was the daughter of the third brother of the emperor An Bai Tang from the Kingdom of Ke Nang.
Both the bride and groom were bowing to their ancestors and Gods to bless their wedding when some assassins entered and started attacking the people.
Princess Mei could not attend the wedding as Mei had a small cold at the time. She was regretting not being able to attend her brother's wedding.
King Ming-Tun and prince Minsheng drew their swords and started fighting back. King Ming-Tun ordered his queen to go and protect their daughter. Queen Chuntao rushed towards princess Mei's room. She quickly locked the door and asked Mei to hide under the bed. Princess Mei did not understand why her mother had asked that but she hid under the bed anyways.
Suddenly two soldiers crashed the door open and forced themselves inside the room. Behind them, they saw the emperor An Bai Tang and his son crown prince Xiu Tang. Their people had defeated King Ming-Tun and prince Minsheng.
The emperor came forward and choked queen Chuntao to death. Mei was shocked and frightened by the scene. Tears came out of her eyes as she saw the death of her mother in front of her eyes.
The emperor and his men left the kingdom when their job was over. Princess Mei quickly rushed towards her mother as soon as they left.
" Mother- mother wake up, " She said weeping. She quickly ran towards the place where her brother was getting married to inform them about this. There she saw both her brother and father lying dead on the ground. She saw lady Jiao Tang weeping over her brother's lifeless body. Mei was shocked to see this scene. She could not believe her eyes.
She quickly ran towards her dead brother's body ordering him to wake up. Lady Jiao was shocked to see princess Mei alive. She hugged the little princess who was now an orphan.
" How did you manage to survive the guards? " She asked worriedly. She knew that if any of the guards spotted princess Mei then that would immediately assassinate her. She quickly called her maid over and handed the little princess to her along with a jade pendant that belonged to princess Mei's brother. She asked her maid to look after her and try not to reveal the princess's real identity to others. The maid accepted her master's order and adopted the little princess. The maid and the princess quickly left the mei kingdom being careful not to be noticed by the guards.
Before leaving the little princess turned back and looked at her kingdom pledging that she would take revenge for her family and that she would destroy the whole Tang family.
The maid took princess Mei to her house and renamed her as Ming-Ming and gave her the title of being a maid's daughter. She took care of the little princess as her own daughter watching her grow into a being a beautiful lady.
Nine years had passed after that incident the little princess was now a beautiful 16-year-old lady. She had grown to be very beautiful, all the men in the kingdom had a liking to her. She had gotten various marriage proposals from many different families. The maid who raised her would reject all those proposals. She wanted her adopted daughter to have a good life with a person whom she loved and not someone she doesn't know about.
Actually, she never wanted Ming Ming ( Princess Mei ) to leave her as she was the only family the maid ever had. Even Mei felt the same way towards her adoptive mother.
One day some soldiers came to the city to give some news about the emperor wanting some new maids for the castle. The news spread like a wildfire and reached the ears of Mei.
Mei wanted to take revenge on the Tang family and this was a perfect opportunity for her. If she was able to enter the castle then she could kill the tiger in his den. She knew that being a palace maid meant that she could never come back to meet her foster mother but she had vowed to avenge her heavenly family so she made up her mind.
" Mother I want to go to the castle and become a maid there, " She said.
The maid was shocked by the words of Mei.
" Do you know what you're saying?! " She asked angrily.
" Yes mother I do, " Mei replied.
The maid was shocked by Mei's answer. The maid sighed and said, " My dear, being a palace maid is not an easy life in fact it's a life worse than death. " Her face was a bit blue as she said this.
" You are the only daughter I have, if you are gone then who will this old mother have? " She said in a sad tone.
Mei never wanted to leave the maid but suddenly the face of her dead big brother flashed in her mind.
" No mother I have to go please allow me, " She said hardening her heart.
The maid did not want to let Mei go but she also did not want to upset her so she agreed.
" Fine, if that's what you wish then be it, " She said.
Mei registered herself to be a maid and started packing her things to leave for the castle. Before going Mei's foster mother handed Mei her's brothers pendant which was given to her by her former master.
" This was once your brothers so now it rightfully belongs to you, " She said.
" This will bring you good luck, " She continued.
Tears started coming out of Mei's eyes. " Thank you, mother I will treasure this Jade pendent, " She said hugging her. After saying this she bid her mother goodbye and left for the castle with the guards.
