Female Deer

This is a true Patronus.

Compared to his own dull and lazy juvenile Ironbelly, its size is much larger, and it is much more flexible and elegant in its movements.

The Patronus takes the form of an adult deer, resembling a guardian spirit.

However, it doesn't possess the sharp and massive antlers of a stag. Instead, it has two triangular ears.

To be more precise, it is a silver deer Patronus.

The Dementor, which was about to approach Astoria, fled like a sheep seeing a wolf. In just a few seconds, it exited through the compartment door and floated back into the air.

Not only this Dementor, but almost all the Dementors were affected by the silver deer, and they started to leave the train. In the sky, countless black shadows could be seen flying away.

Jon quickly put away his wand and flashlight and then held Astoria.

She had completely lost consciousness and fallen into a coma.

Jon helped her up, and the silver deer had disappeared.

Then, Severus Snape in a black robe rushed in.

He quickly glanced around the compartment and then said coldly, "Take her and follow me!"

Jon swiftly put Astoria on his back. She was very light, and it was not difficult to carry her; they followed Snape's pace and walked into the aisle.

The aisle was scattered with luggage, with various suitcases strewn about due to the chaos caused by the Dementors' abrupt appearance.

Professor Snape waved his wand lightly, and the suitcases returned to the compartments, clearing a path for them.

They crossed a dozen or so compartments to reach the front of the car, and the train started moving again.

Jon stumbled for a moment, almost falling to the ground with Astoria, but an invisible force seemed to hold them up just in time.

"Be careful!" Professor Snape sternly shouted, and then continued walking forward without looking back.

A few minutes later, they arrived at a compartment in the front of the car.

This compartment was almost twice the size of the others.

Similar to Snape's office, it was filled with various bottles and containers.

Snape waved his wand, and a hammock appeared in the open space of the compartment.

Jon quickly carried Astoria and laid her on the hammock.

Then, a ray of silver flame suddenly appeared beside them. The flame was gentle, without any heat, only emitting a faint warmth. Jon noticed that Astoria's eyelids began to tremble slightly.

"Hart, come and help me!" Snape rudely ordered. "Help me get the roots of valerian, peppermint, and daisy."

A cauldron had already appeared in front of Snape, and he had added half a bottle of glycerin to it.

Although Snape's potion ingredient rack looked messy, the ingredients were arranged in a systematic manner based on type and initials. Therefore, Jon didn't spend much time finding the required ingredients.

"Grind the valerian root into powder and cut the daisy into pieces!" Snape commanded, swiftly working.

Jon's eyes glanced over, paying close attention to Snape's movements.

This was almost the first time Jon had seen Professor Snape brewing potions. Snape had hardly demonstrated his potion-making skills before.

And now, Jon finally understood why Severus Snape was a renowned Potion Master in all of Europe.

His technique was incredibly skillful, and every step was precise. Even the notoriously unruly peppermint herb became well-behaved in his cauldron.

Jon added several ingredients to the cauldron one after another...

After only fifteen minutes, Snape's potion was ready, although Jon didn't know its purpose.

Astoria also gradually woke up, her face abnormally pale.

"Have her drink it!" The light blue potion was poured into a glass bottle and floated into Jon's hand.

Jon hurried to the hammock, passed through the silver flame, and then held Astoria.

"Drink," he said softly.

Astoria obediently nodded, then frowned and slowly consumed the potion in the bottle.

Suddenly, she began to cough violently—

Her pale complexion regained its rosy color.

"Professor Snape..." she said softly.

"Mrs. Greengrass wrote to inform me," Severus Snape said coldly. "She mentioned the possibility of a Dementor inspecting the train today and asked me to take care of you."

Snape paused and continued, "But I didn't expect you to be in the same compartment as your sister, Miss Greengrass!"

"I'm sorry, Professor Snape..." Astoria lowered her head.

"As for you, Hart!" Snape ignored her and turned his stern gaze to Jon. "Dumbledore informed me over a month ago to teach you the Patronus Charm... Although I don't know who taught you, I assure you that the pitiful and feeble 'Patron saint' you summoned will embarrass them!" he said sarcastically.

Jon had no choice but to bow his head obediently.

"Listen, Hart!" Snape shouted. "The headmaster wants me to teach you the Patronus charm, so you will come to my office this Saturday afternoon to learn it, understand?"

"I understand, Professor!"

"Now, both of you, leave!"

Astoria walked out of the compartment.

Jon was about to leave when he had a thought and turned around. "Professor, the one who saved us earlier should be your Patronus; it seemed to be a..."

"That was a doe!" Snape roared. "Get out!"

He forcefully pushed Jon out of the compartment and slammed the door shut.
