53 Power

A/N: This chapter begins with flashbacks, of Baldur roaming the Earth from last chapter. Have fun.

1386 AD: After SS Master Tilda becomes Immortal.

I close my eyes, once I'm in the forest in Europe where I was currently looking for the Berserker Staff, and sensed for Asgardian Magic.

The Berserker Staff, was a staff made by Asgardian Smiths, to increase the Physical Strength, and fighting powers of a normal Asgardian. So, it had a distinctive feel of magic in it.

Walking towards a direction I feel the magic coming from, I stop in front of a tree, and point my hand towards it. Within a second, the tree shakes a bit, and out of it's trunk, a grey metal rod comes out, and thumps into my hand.

I immediately feel it trying to make me angry, make me a Berserker, but I use my Telepathy, and ignore it. Storing the staff in my PD, I move towards the next one. Now that I've felt what the staff feels like, I know exactly where the other two pieces are.

~~~
In Londinium, a man walks into his small house, puts his groceries away, and goes towards the shelf, to pick up another book to read, but pauses. In front of him, on the desk, was a staff. The same staff he had broken in three pieces, and hidden around the world after the War with Jotunheim.
(A/N: It's said he left during the 12th century, but it doesn't make sense to me. Berserkers were Hela's army. Even if some fought for Odin's Einherjar, the last battle Asgard had was with Jotunheim in 965 AD. Why did Eliot even come to Midgard then, to stay there? So, I just wrote it as Jotun war, because My fic, my Rules.)
As he slowly looks around, but finds no one, he approaches the desk, and moves his hand towards the staff, which was back in one piece again.
"Ahem!" I say, making the man immediately take the staff and point it towards me.
Finding the Staff pieces was not difficult, at all. Finding the Warrior who stayed? A bit harder. I used the Sun above me to try and search for the face I remember him having. Thankfully, I also remembered the face from a Mr Bean movie, so I managed to find him roaming around Londinium.
After that, it was simply a matter of finding where he lived, and waiting for him. I left the Staff on the table as bait for him.
"Who are you?" the Berserker asks, still pointing the Staff at me.
Observing him, I see that he is not feeling even a little bit discomfort from holding the staff. I ask, "Is that any way to talk to your Prince, Berserker? Or do you prefer Eliot?"
The Berserker widens his eyes, and drops down, kneeling in front of my. "My Prince!" he greets.
Rolling my eyes, I say, "Stand up, Eliot. Don't embarrass yourself. I have not come here to take you back to Asgard."
He stands up, leaving the Staff on the ground, and asks, "What can I do for you, My Prince?"
Frowning at him, I answer, "For starters, you could have hidden the staff a bit better. I'll be taking it with me, by the way. Other than that, I wanted to ask whether you've hidden anything else on Midgard?"
"Um.. No, My Prince. If I may, who are you?" He asks, getting vigilant again.
Right, he left right after I was born. I answer, "My name is Baldur Odinson. The God of Sun. Don't worry, I won't interfere in your holidays, but I would like to tell you not to come looking for the staff. That's all."
Saying that, I summon the staff towards me, and becoming invisible, walk out of the open door, while Eliot, the Berserker looks at the spot I was in with an open mouth.
2nd addition to my Treasury, after the Brazier of Bom'Galiath. But, I'll probably give it to Kamar Taj for safe keeping. It's an amazing artefact, but more useful to them.
~~~1398 AD: Morag~~~

Finally, I had found out where in space Morag actually was. It's taken me this long only because of how far it is. I spent a lot of my nights looking through the files Omega had on Morag, and even through Asgardian maps, when I realized. I didn't need any of that.

I had the Mirror. So, I summoned the mirror, and looked for Morag. The current Morag, was still underwater, and I wasn't going to do anything to the stone when the planet was dry. There's bound to be sentries by many parties there during the few months that it's dry.

Morag is a planet, whose life has long been destroyed by the Celestials, over 10,000 years ago. The Celestial Eson the Searcher, used the Power Stone to destroy all life on the planet.

This in turn destabilised the planet, and made it so that it stays completely underwater for 300 years, and the water only recedes for 5 months. After which, it again drowns.

Right now, it was still under water. But, I don't exactly need to breathe when I'm channelling SolForce through my body. So, here I was, floating over the waters of Morag, with Omega beside me.

"Do you feel where it is, Omega?" I ask, looking at the water below me.

Omega has a look around, and says, "It is 379 miles in that direction, Sir." And points at a direction.

Shrugging, I say, "Well, lead on, then." And begin flying towards where Omega pointed at.

I hadn't been sitting idle during these years. Along with Omega, I had already made a device capable of channelling the energy of all 6 Infinity Stones, together. But, that will still harm me, which will probably take years for me to heal the damage.

But, I also didn't want to use all the Stones. I wanted to use a single one. The Power Stone.

Once we reach the spot, after a few minutes of flying, I simply drop down underwater, with Omega following me. Getting into the room which holds the Orb, Omega hacks into the system holding it and disables it.

"This will be a bit problematic underwater." I mumble, and summon the Mirror Dimension around us, as Omega keeps the Orb down and takes a few steps back. Draining all the water inside the room, by making a portal to the moon of Earth, I simply kneel down in front of the Orb.

Omega simply observes me looking at the Orb, and asks, "Shall I open the Orb, Sir?"

Shaking my head, I simply will the orb to open using telekinesis. It starts spinning, and takes a few seconds for the Orb to open, and when it does, I simply marvel at the feeling of dread that I'm getting from the Stone.

The purple light that was being emitted by the Stone, contained so much energy, that just being near it rejuvenates me. Absorbing as much of it's ambient energy as I can, using my Energy Manipulation Mutation, I close my eyes and send all of it to Solheim. It'll help my other form a lot.

Shaking my head, I take out a small Uru Pellet, about the size of the Power Stone. I had transmutated it, using about 200 cubic meters of Vibranium, to get at most one meter cube of Uru.

Transmutation was the easiest part of Alchemy. The hard part was coping with how much I lose to gain so little.

This small Uru Pellet had a lot of Runes carved on it. What the runes will do, when I touch it to an Energy source, is completely mimic the energy source, and become the energy source itself.

So, without wasting any time, I float the Uru Pellet upwards, and at the same time, use Telekinesis to float the Power Stone upwards. Taking care, I touch the required Rune, which means "Absorb" to the Power Stone.

Again, purple light flashes outwards, and this time, it goes towards the pellet. The pellet does it's job, and keeps absorbing the Energy from the Power Stone. And keeps absorbing it.

After about an hour or so, when I'm simply laying down on the floor, looking at it, while Omega was still sitting down, looking curious, the changes start to happen. The pellet takes on a purple sheen, and slowly the purple begins spreading all over it.

Within a minute, instead of one Power Stone, I now had two. There is no way to distinguish between the two, and I only feel which one the pellet is, because I had drawn the runes on the pellet myself.

Unfortunately, the pellet will keep absorbing energy from the Power Stone, whenever someone uses it, until I destroy it. Fortunately, I can destroy it by the press of a rune, which becomes visible on my palm whenever I will it.

Taking the pellet, I store it in the Orb, and give it to Omega to place it on the pedestal and restart it. Looking at the original Power Stone, I smile, and float it towards me. I'm not touching it yet.

"Are you going to use it?" Omega asks, his work done.

Shaking my head, I answer, "No. While I can probably touch the Stone right now, without any backlash, thanks to the SolForce, I want to wait before using it. Ljosgeirr will be perfect for it, don't you think?"

Omega tilts his head, and I hear a few beeps. He then says, "My calculations say that your Armour and your Spear are a not sufficiently strong to channel the Power Stone Energy. You will need to make them stronger somehow."

Great.

Sighing, I simply summon a replica of the Orb that's in the pedestal, that I'd made from Uru and Vibranium, enchanting the alloy to block any and all scans for the Power Stone and divert anything towards the fake power stone. As long as I'm in the Mirror Dimension, Thanos cannot find it. But, once I get the Stone out, he might sense the energy.

I'll have to do a few more preparations after studying the energy so I can safely hide it.

Storing the Power Stone in the Uru Orb, I place it in my PD, which again hides it from anyone's senses, and bring us out of the Mirror Dimension. This, immediately floods the room, and Omega and I float out.

"Let's go home, Omega. I have experiments to carry out." I say, smiling at the AI robot.

~~~
And experiment I did. First, I moved my armour and Ljosgeirr to the Solheim Dimension, so "I" can soak the two in "my" energy, making them stronger. Since both Ljosgeirr and Karna were made to channel my Divinity, the soaking in Solheim will make it stronger.
Then I studied the Energy from the Power Stone while staying in the Room of Requirements, which was hidden from anyone and anything while it was activated, and the. Opening the Mirror Dimension inside it.
Once I managed to understand the energy a bit, after absorbing it a little by little, which did not make me stronger, at all, I did some changes to the wards.
Don't get me wrong, when I touch the Stone directly, I immediately feel myself getting stronger by up to 10 times, in just Physical sense. Even my spells get stronger when I'm touching the Stone.
But, simply absorbing the energy does not make me stronger. But, it does make me rejuvenate faster, and makes my Magic spells stronger. What it means, that if my original SolForce blast from my hand would have dented a shield before, it can pass through it now.
How strong though? Well, it's the same difference between Norman Osborn's punch, after the Oz Serum, and Steve Rogers's punch, right after his enhancement.
So, I've been training in the room itself, after keeping the Stone outside it's orb, for maximum efficiency.
As for the changes I did, I made the Wards around the planet, around Hogwarts, and even inside the Room of Requirements, to never let even a hint of the Power Stone Energy outside it.
Every little bit of the Power Stone's energy was being absorbed by the planetary wards, and then the excess was given to the planet. This will probably make the magic of the Avalon residents a bit stronger, but it'll take at least a century to be noticeable.
The Power Stone was only taken by me for two reasons. The first one, so Thanos does not get it. And the second one, is so I can have a back up plan if I meet an enemy too strong for me to defeat on my Strength basis alone.
I did not mind keeping the fake stone there, as I knew that it was necessary for Guardians of the Galaxy to come into existence. While I could do without Quill, Rocket will be an amazing ally to have.
Plus, once I free Hela, and if she looks like she's going to betray me, as I can't take chances yet, I'll definitely need the stone to defeat her. I'm hoping she doesn't betray me, though. We'll see.
~~~Solheim~~~

Opening my eyes, I smile at the feeling of absolute power get absorbed in My Dimension. In me.

Chuckling, I look at Phoenix, who was laying down beside me, her eyes open, and say, "Looks like my Avatar is compensating me for giving Tilda my energy."

Phoenix simply shakes her head, and says, "That was not even a percent of a percent of the total storage capacity of the Infinity Stone. He will have to send a lot of the energy to make you an equal to me, Baldur."

I simply kiss her, and say, "I don't need an Infinity stone to be your equal, my lady. I would have become that strong some day anyway. This just.. speeds things up."

"I am Groot?"

"Oh, for FUCK'S SAKE, GROOT! LET ME FUCK IN PEACE!" I shout, throwing a few blasts of SolForce at the now fleeing Groot, while Phoenix simply chuckles, and brings me closer to her.

~~~ Present: 1564 AD: 600 Years(23)
"What in the hell is this?" Hela asks, as soon as she walks into the Great Hall in the morning after she was rescued.
Looking at her wearing dark green robes, wizarding world style, but staring at Omega, who was sitting at the table, reading a book on Runes, I ask, "The clothes, the book, or this big red lump?"
Hela glares at me, and says, "The clothes. They don't offer even a little bit of protection. How am I supposed to fight in these?"
Rubbing my head, I placate her, saying, "We'll get you some clothes for fighting purposes later, Hela. For now, I want you to relax and enjoy. They're comfortable, aren't they?"
Hela stops pinching the clothes away from her skin, and frowns. She reluctantly says, "Yes. But I need some proper clothes later. Now, tell me about the robot."
Saying that, Hela joins the table we were sitting at, in the centre of the Great Hall, and takes some food from the feast in front of her.
"Hela, this is Omega. He used to be the Artificial Intelligence that was responsible for a highly technological ship I found, and he is now a Robot, who is capable of fighting, but prefers not to. Omega, this is the sister I told you about." I say, introducing the two.
Omega looks up from the book, and nods at Hela, saying, "Hello." In a fake cheerful voice, then goes back to the book.
I should have named him Sheldon. Sighing, I turn to Hela, and blink, forgetting what I wanted to say. (A/N: Not a crush, you weirdos.)
"What?" Hela asks, getting guarded up.
Chuckling, I answer, "You got rid of the black make up around your eyes. It simply, caught me off guard."
Rolling her eyes, Hela continues eating, and says, "If a simple change in make-up can catch you off guard, you'd be a terrible fighter against women."
I open my mouth, to argue, but stop. I haven't actually fought with any woman. The only fights I've had are with the Marauders, the Kree, the Ravagers, and Tilda. And while Tilda is pretty, she's also 50. By the time I look her age, she'll be dead, and her bones dust. Then there's Selene, whom I didn't actually fight, but we had a verbal spar while tongue fighting.
"Huh. You actually admit you're useless against women." Hela says, looking at me making a head gesture that translates to 'probably right.'
Shaking my head, I clarify, "I have fought with a total of 47 women, only 5 of which looked like us. One is you, two are Midgardians, one Kree, and one a Ravager, and the rest look.. bad." Racist of me, but that was me being frank. You try to look at a Rock troll lady and call her beautiful. No? How about a skrull?
That's what I thought.
Snorting, Hela continues with her breakfast. She drinks the tea I'd prepared, after she's finished eating, and widens her eyes. She looks at me, and asks, "What is this, Baldur?"
Smirking triumphantly, I put my hand in the air. My sister likes ginger tea, Indian style! Hah! Take that Master Yao and your made in China tea!
I begin telling Hela about the magnificence of Indian tea, and the different types of it. She needs to be properly educated before she goes to Earth.
~~~

A/N: Should Baldur give Hela an Inhibitor necklace? So she can roam around the Universe freely? Well, obviously she'll be a mortal then but she would probably appreciate it, I think.

Also, what do you think about the Soul Stone sacrifice? Does the Soul Stone require the person to sacrifice a soul particularly close to them? Or does any soul work?

I think it's the first, because if it was the second, Red Skull would have used any old visitor to get the Stone for himself and gotten away. I still think he'll come back to Earth in some way in MCU.

Tata!
