He Jian and He Mei Ya walked through the streets and both entered Xuan pavilion where one can find almost all types of items related to cultivation.

A shop assistant greeted them. He Mei Ya looked at him and said " Does your shop have spatial rings and wooden messenger birds?"

The little boy declared proudly " Yes, young lady. "

Spatial rings are used to store items and their cost varies as per the storage area. He Mei Ya selected the rings having the area of a villa.. and each ring is priced 10000 gold.

Wooden messenger birds.. as the name says.. once they are infused with users magic or spiritual qi they belong to them.. and can be sent to anyone just by chanting their name.. They can pass through mid-level barriers easily..

So, He Mei Ya decided to buy them so that she can chat with her brother.. Messenger birds are relatively cheap.. a gold coin for each..

He Mei Ya brought five spatial rings.. one for He Jian and remaining four for her and her three little siblings. And she purchased 10 messenger birds, One for He Jian and remaining for future use.

He Mei Ya inserted her soul energy and marked it and asked He Jian to do the same on other bird. After He Jian finished marking it, He Mei Ya happily chirped " Big bro.. now these birds belongs to us.. we can stay in contact..."

He Jian smiled gently on seeing her chatting endlessly.

He Mei Ya then went to a food store and brought many jars of pickled plums, minced meat pickle and lean beef jerky's and some dates and placed everything in his spatial ring.

Then she seriously advised him " Bro.. Don't use your space outside. Everyone will find it suspicious. So, keep all the things in this ring. OK..?"

He Jian nodded " As you wish, young lady."

He Mei Ya grinned as she thought ' Hope my brother speaks like this to other girls, then I will soon have a sister-in-law.'

" What are you plotting?" He Jian looked at her suspiciously.

" I'm just thinking about how good it will be if you have a wife.. Then I can hang out with sister-in-law.. "

" I don't have enough energy to take care of my only sister.. not to speak of a wife.." He Jian shuddered on the thought of a wife..

He Mei Ya sighed and prayed in her heart ' Dear god, I really hope that this stone sculpture bro of mine finds a girl for himself.. I want him to experience all the happiness in the world. I don't want him to remain unmarried..'

He Mei Ya brought some ropes and water gourds and some other things and stuffed them into his ring. He Jian watched helplessly as he did not have the heart to stop her as she is buying everything for his safety.

'Really.. did she take me for a kid...' He Jian wondered

Both of them walked through the streets and entered a small broken house with a board " Winter abode clothing."

A man in his early twenties greeted them " This sir and young lady.. how can I help you?"

He Mei Ya raised an eyebrow after listening to the young man's words and smiled " I want to buy some fur coats, gloves, cap and thick blanket for my brother here."

The young man quickly smiled after hearing her words. Finally, he got a good customer. So, he quickly arranged for them to sit " Young lady, please sit and wait for a while."

" No problem." He Mei Ya smiled faintly.

" Su Li, bring some water for the lady and her brother." the young man called out.

" Yes.. brother" a young girl's sweet voice replied.

" Sir, no need for the trouble. We are but mere customers. Don't trouble the girl." He Mei Ya interrupted them. He Mei Ya observed the young girl and the girl scrunched back in fear.

" Young lady, my sister is afraid of strangers."

" Oh.." He Mei Ya did not ask further as she had a faint understanding of the situation.

The young man did not waste their time as he quickly brought many bundles before them and displayed them. He Mei Ya chose a black fur coat and a brown cap to form a contrast. She choose three pairs of black gloves. She choose a thick black fur blanket and kept them aside.

The young looked at the items and opened his mouth " Young lady, the coat and cap cost 200 silver, three pairs of gloves for 30 silver and the blanket costs 300 silver."

He Mei looked at the exquisitely stitched clothes and smiled " Sir, are you sure you are telling the correct prices."
