30 Each has his own thoughts

Generally, guards are never treated with respect. In the past, though their eldest miss never talked with them, she never disrespected them. So, they are very happy to follow her.

But, this is the first time their miss spoke to them and hearing such heart touching words from her, they are truly feeling grateful. She did not scorn them or overly praise them. Though she rebuked them with a cold attitude they can understand the care behind her words.

So, they looked at each other and nodded at her " Eldest miss, we thank you for your concern."

He Mei Ya raised an eyebrow and smirked coldly " No need to thank me. If I find any of you kneeling again, I will make sure that you will know what pain truly is."

The five of them immediately assured their goddess " Eldest miss, we swear on our lives. We will not kneel unnecessarily."

" Alright, let's go" He Mei Ya beckoned them and six people left the garden. Before leaving the garden, He Mei Ya glanced at the rock about ten feet away from them. She knew that two people are hiding behind. Sensing that they are having no ill-intentions, He Mei Ya assumed that they must be hidden guards.

After they left the garden, two people came out from behind a huge rock. They are behind the rock discussing recent situations of the clan when they heard some voices coming towards them. So, they stopped talking to keep their presence hidden. But, after hearing this young girl's words, they silently pondered.

Both of them stared at the direction in which He Mei Ya left. After a long time, one of them cleared his voice " General.."

" Li Chang, this niece of mine is truly interesting. It's time I introduced her to the hidden army." He Jun responded.

" General, but eldest young miss is weak and does not know martial arts."

" Li Chang, do you think she is unfit?"

" General, I listened to eldest young miss's words with you. Her words are praiseworthy. But, we should assess her skills before taking further decisions." Li Chang made himself clear.

" Don't worry. I will not go easy on her because she is my niece." He Jun smiled at Li Chang.

" General, I don't doubt you. I think eldest young miss may pass the test for general if we train her for a few months."

He Jun raised his eyebrows in amusement on hearing his words.

This hidden guard is under-estimating his niece because she is a girl ah! So, what if she is a girl.

" Li Chang, if she is a he, would you have said same words."

Li Chang remained silent. He clearly believes that a women's physique is weak. That is the reason why there are few women in army.

He Jun's smile deepened " Li Chang, my niece is not suitable for general. She is made for the role of commander-in-chief. Such words coming from her young mouth already proves her unique personality."

Li Chang widened his eyes and stared at He Jun with an expression of disbelief.

" What if she's a girl. I will not force anyone to accept her. You will accept her naturally."

Li Chang did not say anything out of respect for the man but he clearly does not believe his general.

" Alright, lets go the training grounds." He Jun and Li Chang left the garden.

He Mei Ya entered her house after dismissing the guards. It has a room for cultivation, a study room, of course a big bed room with a bath facility. She liked the arrangement but she felt that it is lacking in artistic sense. Feeling tired He Mei Ya bathed and took a book to relieve her boredom.
