39 Departure of He Jian (2)

" Open it later in your room."

He Mei Ya nodded " Alright.. Big bro.. I'll become stronger by the time you come. Don't slack off.. otherwise I'll beat you into a pulp when you return."

He Jian smiled as he looked at her and suddenly pulled her into his embrace. He Mei Ya hugged him back and both of them hugged silently without speaking anything.

After calming his emotions He Jian patted her head gently " Believe in me. I'll come back safely."

He Mei Ya nodded and pulled her out of his embrace and is shocked to see that everyone is looking at them with a pitiful gaze.

He Jian chuckled and both of them walked towards them " Grandfather, father, uncles and kiddos.. Please take care of yourselves. I'll return after everything is alright." After bowing to the elders He Jian smiled at He Mei Ya " Sis, take care of everyone and yourself."

After saying this, He Jian swiftly disappeared from the room..

He Mei Ya looked fixedly at the place from where he left and her father's voice brought her back " Ya'er.. Ya'er.."

He Mei Ya raised her head only to find a pair of hurt eyes looking at her. He Mei Ya's heart trembled on seeing the concern in his eyes and felt very warm in her heart. So, He Mei Ya smiled " Father.. I'm alright after seeing you."

He Gong laughed and patted her head " Your brother will be alright.. Don't worry about him.. Work hard to surpass him.. He should be surprised to see you after his return." He Mei Ya chuckled " Sure.. pops.."

He Mei Ya felt better after chatting with her father for a while.

He Mei Ya returned to her room and opened the package and found a simple wooden hair pin with a fully bloomed lotus head. The lotus has been carved very carefully. He Mei Ya loved it as soon as she saw it.

He Jian knows that He Mei Ya loves simple accessories. So, when he took Su Li for a walk, he found a young girl selling these rather normal wooden hairpins. He found this lotus hairpin and knowing his sisters love for lotuses he brought it without second thought.

He Mei Ya kept the wooden pin carefully in a box and stored the box in her spatial ring.

" Grandfather, I need to ask you something." He Mei Ya spoke while feeding the fish.

" Speak, what is it? Whatever it is I'll give it to you." He Jiao declared arrogantly.

' Grand pops.. you should be a little strict towards me ah!' He Mei Ya face-palmed. But in her heart, He Mei Ya grinned happily as she loved his spoiling very much..

" Grand pops, let those five bodyguards of mine join our secret army. I want someone who is skilled in martial arts and good at concealing himself. A single guard is enough."

"Why? Are those five not to your liking?" He Jiao still remembered his son's narration on that day. This brat clearly did not punish them then. So, why is she asking now..
