1 1: Hello

I unpacked the last box in my new dorm room and decided to take a shower to get rid of all the dust. Every student has a single room, because it was built that way and the founders didn't renovate the buildings to keep the historical significance of the place intact.

Eastwood was one of the first establishments of this town surrounded by the woods and held historical importance as an architectural masterpiece, thus was left untouched by any modern civilisation.

My room was small, smaller than it should be. It hardly had space for an extra box, after a single bed, a study table and a small closet.

I opened my window to get some air in, before leaving for the bathroom. I was on the second floor, and Outside my window was a small maintenance room and a big wall, my room was one of the last rooms, explaining the unattractive view.

I took a bath and changed into some shorts and an oversized tee. The bathroom was pretty packed, girls were blow drying their hair and some had face masks on. I placed my toiletry bag on the counter and started untangling my hair using my fingers. I took my comb out, and just when I was about to comb, the lights went out.

"Ahhhhhh..."

The overdramatic girls started a ruckus and I was pushed and stepped on. I grabbed my bag and made it to the door. Street lights were still on, lighting the hallway through the windows. The girls were coming out of their rooms to find out what went wrong. One more person won't be needed, so I decided to go back to my room. I locked my door behind me and walked to the window as it was the only source of light.

I looked down and saw a small explosion in the maintenance room, then three boys came out running one after the other. The first boy jumped for the wall and in a second was on the other side of it. The second followed suit, and so did the third. When the third was about to jump to the other side, his forehead wrinkled and his eyes shot up, looking directly at me. I froze on the spot, he must've felt someone staring at him. He stared at my window for a second, It was too dark to see his face, but his blue eyes twinkled in the moonlight.

After a second he was gone. I stood there until I heard someone knocking on the door. I opened the door and the girl behind it told me to rush out.

We were down there for two hours or so. The police came, took pictures and left. They asked us, if we saw something, I didn't say anything because my mom clearly instructed me to not get into any trouble, besides I didn't see anything useful.

Emergency lights were turned on, and they told us to return to our rooms after the police left. I was half asleep when I walked in my room. The room was only lit with the light coming in from the window. I lie down on my bed and stared at the window's shadow which fell on the wall in front of me. I was about to close my eyes, when suddenly a silhouette of a guy coming up my window caught my attention.

I sat up straight and turned around to face my window and a hooded guy sat there comfortably, his feet placed on my study table. I recognise him from earlier, he's the same guy I saw on the wall. He has the same blue eyes. My eyes go wide in recognition and he saw this too. He released a chuckle when he saw how long it took me to join the dots, he was amused. I blame it on the lack of sleep.

"Hello," he said.
