4 No Choice

Hinata heard something flying in his direction, he purposefully let himself fall backward off the branch, now hanging by his feet, he then leaned up and caught the object, he opened his eyes and saw that it was just a ball.

"Hey, you're new, right?" he saw a few kids in front him, they did not look much younger than him, Hinata was 22, these kids looked about 16 or 17, definitely still in high school

"New is relative, I'm not here to stay"

"That was a pretty cool catch, what's your name?"

"Hinata Bloodrose"

"wait a second THE Hinata Bloodrose? Next family head of the Bloodrose family? best friend of the queen? Jitani of the Chieftains daughter?" one of the girls in the group of kids asked

Hinata scoffed "I'd like to go somewhere and be treated like a normal person for once"

One of the boys tapped the girl on the back of the head "Nice going genius"

"we're sorry," a girl said "wait, aren't you a Killanti? why are your eyes brown?" she asked

"Contacts," he said coldly

"can we see your real eyes?" one of the boys asked

Hinata took off the contact lenses and showed is bright red, piercingly cold eyes

"Y-You're a red? I heard reds haven't been around for hundreds of years, that's pretty cool"

"Maybe it would be if Anyone would tell me why being a red is so cool"

"Red's are the descendants of alpha werewolves, gods, and Kallanti combined They are far more powerful than any other Kallanti and hold absolute authority over them, they're like Royalty, we used to call reds Lethals because well, that's self-explanatory, if you want to know more, after the memory wipe, when they ask you to be their official lethal, say yes" and with that, the teens walked off

Hinata let his legs go from the tree and turned his body mid-air, landing on his feet "there was something weird about those kids, They didn't seem....real" he said inwardly, He had agreed to do the procedure as he felt like he had no other choice

After a few hours it was time for the memory wipe, Jade and Hinata, kissed, one last time and said their goodbyes as he underwent the process, lights flashed all around him, his body convulsed and his eyes help a blank stare, in the end, he stood up and asked what happened, Kalsiel explained the situation and Hinata could tell she was not lying, he couldn't figure out how, but he knew, he looked to her and asked "why am I able to tell that you aren't lying?"

"one of the Kallanti powers, Red Kallanti, have 3 powers, one of yours is most likely psychic abilities, you know, mind reading, divination, premonitions, Empathy, telekinesis, that sort of shit, if that's the case then the other two of your powers HAS to be an elemental manipulation and a law of reality manipulation, I'm not basing this on research, just what almost every other red has had in the past" She exclaimed "Only your bond with Kiwaseishi was broken and erased, you should still remember your experiences here and before arriving here"

"Hinata Bloodrose, will you be the central Kallanti Village representative, as the first red in over 500 years"

Hinata paused for a second "As the first Lethal" he said hesitantly as if the memory was at the back of his head

"How'd you know about that?" An old man asked confused

"I don't know, I'm certain someone told me, well, some people but I can't remember who, they were very young though"

"Impossible, only the elders know about that" he shouted

"yet the impossible, just spoke about it" Kelsiel joked

"yes a Lethal, the highest rank in the Kallanti, practically royalty honestly, We don't have a monarchy in the Kallanti System but you're basically royalty, feared and respected by all, which brings me to the next part of what I'm about to say, all bow in the presence of Letha" She said and everyone bowed, then she continued "A Lethal and their Jitani are both Immortal, you should be able to find more Lethals but they all went into hiding long ago after their leader died, please, i beg of you, take Kiwaseishi with you and go searching for the other reds, If you agree I will contact your school and inform them that you will no longer be attending and will instead be given special training"

Hinata looked around at everyone and then at Kiwaseishi "Must I take her? People are annoyingly aggravating" he said coldly

Kiwaseishi Clenthced her fist and ran up to Hinata, she wanted to punch him in the chest but remembered that his was the intended consequence of the memory wipe

"yes you have to take me you fucking idiot, you may not remember now, but I know you'll be glad you did, later on," she said with tears in her eyes

"Fine but if you slow me down, I'm leaving you behind" Kiwaseishi wanted to be angry at this but remembered that this was his personality

"Hinata, can you please remove your shirt so that I may bestow upon you the Kallanti brand?" Kelsiel asked

Hinata turned and removed his shirt, everyone except for Kiwaseishi gasped when they saw him

"Y-your arms," Emi said. Hinata looked at her and finished the sentence "are mechanical, I know, I try to ignore the fact thank you" Hinata was now ticked off, he really did try to ignore it, even when he looked in the mirror or took a shower, he imagined that his arms were normal again, he then turned to Kiwaseishi "you weren't shocked" it was a sentence but held all the curiosity of a question

Kiwaseishi smirked wickedly "I've seen you naked, idiot"

Hinata raised an eyebrow at this shameless response " well okay then"

Kelsiel bestowed the mark on his chest and asked: "What happened to your arms?"

"People," He said as he put his shirt back on and walked out, At that moment everyone finally realized why he was so cold towards everyone

Hinata was given an all-terrain car, it was relatively spacious and secure, the storage was accessible from the inside and it was armored, you could put the armored mode on and sleep securely in the car knowing that you had everything you needed but a bathroom and that no one could move the now grounded car, get inside or even see inside, it wasn't as luxurious as the mobile bases given to elite imperial troops but it was functional and safe, He and Kiwaseishi were also given armor and bags, Hinata's armor was black and gold, it was mostly black leather but had gold armor platings wrapped around the forearms, over the front of the chest, down the legs and around the shins as well as down the back.

Kiwaseishi's armor was white and Green but the style was the exact same as Hinata except that she chose to have the armor plating be pure green to get rid of some of the white, they packed clothes, food and various other objects, Kiwaseishi, took up her mother's katana, Hinata was given the staff of red, an ancient weapon once used by the leader of the Lethals, it was a staff with four, retractable blades and could be broken in half, when broken in half they were connected by a chain, two buttons on each half, the button closer to the half with the chain made a scythe style blade appear on that end, the one closer to the tip of it, made a spear like blade pop out (The fucking weapon yulli used in Sirius the Jaeger, highly recommend that by the way, super badass mc)

Soon it would be time for Hinata to get to know Kiwaseishi for the second time, this time would be far harder and to top it off, he was forced to do it with her while stuck together on a trip to find immortals who've been hiding from the world successfully for hundreds of years, he couldn't help but wonder what the fuck his life had become.
