A fresh start

Hinata woke up and quickly got dressed, disappeared for a few minutes and then came back, he gently shook Jade to wake her up and he smiled softly "you know it's" he checked his wicked "noon, we should probably get up and go outside"

"ughhh five more minutes"

"We were supposed to be up since seven, you have five HOURS"

Hinata laughed a bit and handed her a cup of tea as she sat up, she took a sip and her eyes lit up like stars.

"how did you--" Jade looked at the cup of tea with shock

"Well my powers haven't shown up yet but Something happened, I woke up and I got this... This vibe, I FELT that you liked black tea, sweetened with condensed milk, not sugar right? just like me" he tilted his head to the side a bit and smiled "except you have a sweet tooth, my hand moved on autopilot until five big spoons were put in"

"Yeah, I'm still new to this, we should probably go ask the others," Jade said "and don't go invading my mind ya here"

"loud and clear," Hinata said with a chuckle

They both left the room and met up with their friends at the mall and told them what happened

"Convergence," Ashanla said, Lewis nodded and added "Hinata made convergence happen far faster than any Kallanti has in hundreds of years, I'd say he was something special, we should take this to the elders, not of the city though, of the original village, our village Kiwaseishi"

"well, guess I'm going to have a lot of explaining to do," she said

"Jade, care to explain?"

"JADE?!?!" everyone in the group except for Emi was shocked

Hinata looked at them "Her eyes are bright green and her name is too long, I nicknamed her Jade"

No one questioned it anymore, they all agreed it was a fitting name and even started calling her it, after they ate lunch together they made their way to the village, Hinata wore his hood up and kept his head down to avoid everyone, when they got there they met a woman with Black hair and Blue eye came out "KIWASEISHI!, LEWIS!!" she ran up and hugged them

"hey mom, I missed you," they both said in unison as they got crushed

"I'm so glad you visited and you brought your friends I see" She looked around the group and gave each of them a hug before her eyes locked on Hinata, who was now sitting on top a tree branch with his eyes closed and his left leg hanging off "when did he get up there?" she asked puzzled

"Heh, Miss Kallianriast, that's Hinata Bloodrose" Emi responded

"Emi, call me Kalsiel"

"ok, sorry Kalsi-" she was interrupted

" WAIT...Bloodrose? Like THE Hinata Bloodrose," Kalsiel exclaimed

"yep," Lewis said " and he went up there when you were giving out hugs"

Hinata without opening his eyes or moving said "I'm not a hugger"

Emi leaned into Miss Kallianriast and said "He's a total Kuudere"

"I heard that," Hinata said as he threw a branch at her

"ouch, YOU LITTLE!"

Kalsiel laughed a bit and smiled

"so why did you bring a noble elf here? why would a noble ever come to our small village?"

"Actually, he's not an elf, he's adopted and because he's a kallanti like us," Ashanla said

"Ohh? did you bring him here to see if he can find his Jitani?"

everyone looked at each other, not really sure how to respond, they felt as if though Jade or Hinata should be the ones to deliver the news, more specifically Jade as it was her mother yet she just stood there and bit her lip.

"Actually mom, I'm his Jitani"

Her mother's eyes slowly widened and she looked up at the nonchalant Hinata "finally, I'm so happy for you honey"

"not so fast mom" Lewis interrupted "let's talk for a moment... with the rest of the elders" their mother looked concerned but agreed, while Lewis talked to his mother, Hinata meanwhile, put in his Brown Contacts and walked around with the others, secretly admiring the architecture and shops and life without showing any of that on his face, when they were about to sit down, they were approached by a group of elders, Hinata instinctively thinking more huggers came jumped into a tree, Jade jumped up and sat next to him "relax, don't worry okay? they are just here to help" after a few minutes Hinata calmed down and jumped down with Jade.

"So you're Kiwaseishi's Jitani?" an old woman asked to which Hinata nodded, unsure of what to do

"Then take off the contacts" Hinata was shocked for a second "how did y-"

"No Kallanti is born with brown eyes, our eyes are various shades of the colors found on a rainbow, the color determines the strength of a Kallanti

"Yellow is the weakest, then Orange, then blue, Indigo, Green, and Violet in that order," Kalsiel said

"heh, about that" Hinata removed his Contacts, showing his Bright red eyes

"h-how can this be?" they all backed away

"You have red eyes and you started convergence faster than any Kallanti has for generations" Kalsiel was scared

"You must undergo Jitanistar or your power will likely consume you," said an old man now shivering a bit

"Jitanistar? father you can't" a girls voice rang out from the crowd "That's worse than death and you know it"

"What is Jitanistar?" Hinata asked now fully confused

"Your natural connection is severed and your memory is wiped however the connection and memory wipe only happens to one of you in this case, you"

"what will happen if he doesn't"Jade's voice was full of worry and fear

"Hopefully nothing, realistically, a fucking horrible and painful death and ohh boy it won't be quick either" The girl said

"Sadly I don't think you have many options, Death or memory loss, or take your chances, I'd prefer to take my chances but I haven't found my Jitani so I'm not the best person to ask"

Hinata sat down on top a tree branch and closed his eyes "everybody shut up and let me think he said, Jade, please take this time to think to, I believe your opinion matters as much as mine considering what it is" and after saying that he started to meditate on everything that was said, everything that could possibly happen.
