Chapter 7: A group of idiots...

I wasn't panicking. I wasn't. I was completely calm.

" You don't have to be afraid" Ying Chen whispered next to my ear.

Whos afraid?!!!! You're afraid!!!!!!! YOU'RE WHOLE FAMILY IS AFRAID!!!!!!! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Seriously, we had just gotten out of the carriage and this guy had stuck himself to my side. Wasn't he supposed to be resistant to the task of playing babysitter? Why was he being so efficient?!?!

They were taking me to a grand estate, near the edge of the city. It looked like a setting from a historical drama. If I wasn't in such a sorry situation, I would have been ecstatic to explore the place.

However, I instead felt nothing but dread as we neared the entrance. Was Lui Jinghua waiting inside? What would she do to me once these traitors handed me in?

I hadn't even been able to meet a single pretty girl before my untimely death.

I didn't try to hide my resentful glare at the four men. They were the worst male leads she'd ever seen!!! Heartlessly handing her over to her wicked family. (╥﹏╥)

A mass of servants ere standing by the entrance and bowed their heads respectfully as they walked passed. I noticed that a plethora of curious stares followed me into the building and I felt extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully, both Ying Chen and Cael used their rather large physiques to block me from view.

Soon we entered a room that seemed to be this era's equivalent of a living room? There were several couches scattered across the room, along we trays stacked with food. Adan immediately flopped onto one of the couches and let out a satisfied sigh. Lou Fang followed suit and each of them began to get comfortable. Chatting happily while picking at some of the food. I remained standing, not quite sure what was going on.

Where was Lui Jinghua? Where were the family guards that were supposed to swarm her the moment she stepped into the estate? She was supposed to be begging for her life right now! But instead, these guys were acting...acting like...

GAHHHHHHHHH

I had so much pent up frustration and anxiety which had been eating at me from the inside this whole time and now the anticipation for something to happen made me want to explode!!!!

Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and I snapped, "If you're going to kill me can you at least make it quick!!"

They all turned to look at me. It was the first time I had raised my voice at them and they all seemed a little tacken aback. Except for Ying Chen, he just looked suspicious.

" What are you talking about?" Cael asked, bewildered.

I trembled, "You're going to kill me. That's why you tracked me down, to see if I was dead. And now that you know I survived you're going to finish the job!" I'll admit that my voice had raised to something akin to a shriek.

Now they all looked even more confused. Cael got up slowly and approached me like I was a wild animal he didn't want to scare away.

"We never intended to hurt you and we have no reason to kill you."

"And if we wanted you dead we could have just left you in the cave" Adan sniffs.

"That's true. Why would we have tacken you with us and healed your wounds if we wanted you dead?" Cael prompts.

I deflated a bit. He had a good point...Was it possible I had been mistaken?

" If not to find me..then why did you try to enter a sealed-off cave?"

Adan shrugged, " We felt like it."

These four idiots decided to take a large chunk of time out of their day to pull out a blockade sealing off a random cave because THEY FELT LIKE IT!!!!! (ꐦ ಠ皿ಠ )

There was no reason or rhyme to this situation. Just luck.

I guess that because I'm the lead, the halo of being an MC led these male leads to find me.

So I wasn't in any danger. The whole thing was just a wild fantasy of my own making. Suddenly, I felt very tired.

I meekly apologized to the group for my outburst and finally sat down on a velvet couch. The group after some hesitance continued their conversation. Soon after, servants appeared and led me to a room. I couldn't help but be slapped by a wave of Deja vo because it really did resemble the setting of a historical drama from her own world. I remembered a scene from 'Cinder*lla's Ch*f' were the two love interests were forced to share a bed (which looked similar to her own) and after a series of back and forth, slept with a pillow between them. Ahhh they were such a cute couple. <3

I felt a bit awkward and I didn't know what else to do except lay on the bed and just to try to digest everything that's happened so far.

A knock came from outside and after I invited them in, I was surprised to see Adan carrying a tray with what I recognized to be the medicinal herbs Lou Fang had been using to treat my wounds. He grinned impishly at me and explained,

" Lou Fang asked me to treat you tonight. He and Ying Chen are talking about our travel arrangements."

I nodded slowly and pulled up my robes to expose my legs which were covered in bangles. With surprising care, Adan unwrapped the coverings to revel There were the bruises spallterd across my skin as well as the right ankle which still looked a bit mangeled. His eyes narrowed a bit as he took some sort of sap and gently massaged it on my injuries. I let him work in silence, every so often wincing from the pain.

When he was done, he wrapped the bangles around y legs and moved on to inspect the rest of my body. I didn't feel very uncomfortable, partly because I had a strong feeling he was gay and partly because I just didn't think he was that type of person.

" You look a lot better than when we first saw you," Adan observed. I shrugged,

" Lou Fang did a great job. I owe him my life" I watched carefully to see if Lou Fangs name had any effect on this guy....OMG THAT SMILE!!!!!! Adan sooooo likes Lou Fang!!!!! OMG THATS SO CUTE!!!
