|Yasaka - Queen of Western Youkai Faction|

I look at the young man before me and smile a little. He is the one helping us and the one saving my daughter. I need to ensure he gets compensated later. I'm a petty woman, and I admit that, but I will reward anyone who helps us.

"Who is he?"

I look at the head of the healer of Kyoto. Not many know it, but the head healer of Kyoto University is also the head of the Kyoto Healer Association. She is one of the greatest healers in Japan.

"His name is Ryan Hernandes. He is from Indonesia. The people from the police department are already investigating him but coming out ordinary. He is coming from an ordinary family, the ones who did not have any mana inside of them and did not have any spiritual awareness."

"Oh? Nothing at all? Even his grandparents and great-grandparents?"

Usually, people with mana will awaken their talent because their great-grandparent is a magician or someone with a spiritual awareness so that they can use Ki or Spiritual Energy.

The woman next to me shakes her head.

"No. Nothing at all."

"A new blood then? That is rare."

New blood is someone who awakens their ability to use mana or awaken their spiritual awareness. The one who can do this is someone with a powerful soul, and their offspring will be even more powerful if they marry and have a child with people who have mana and awaken their spiritual awareness.

Many people are searching for new blood, but sadly, because of how tainted the mana and spiritual energy of the world is, new blood gets increasingly rare nowadays.

"Not only new blood but also a powerful one at that. He has a unique magic, as you can see."

"Yes. With that kind of healing ability, he can be a very important person in the future."

"And maybe even beat me."

I look at her for a few seconds and say.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes. I might be a great healer, but I have a limitation. Because of my race, I cannot heal a certain race. This is why I call him here and treat your daughter."

She is a Yuki-Onna and cannot heal someone with a high affinity to Fire. Kunou and I have the highest affinity to fire than anyone else in Japan, and if she tries to heal us, there will be a long term-consequence.

If she does that, Kunou's chakra will become chaotic because of the different energy inside her, making her sick and weak. This can last for twenty years or even forever. If there is absolutely nothing else we can do, I will ask her to do it and think of the consequences later.

Lucky for me, I don't need to do that.

"How is my daughter?"

She nods and starts to check on Kunou. After a few seconds, she nodded and looked at me.

"She is fine, my lady. She is in great shape. Her internal organ is good as new, the same as the rest of her body. She should wake up in a couple of minutes."

"I see. Thank you, Shion."

Yuki-Onna shakes her head and says,

"Don't thank me, Lady Yasaka. Thank him."

"And I will. However, the potion you bring makes Kunou stable enough for him to work his magic."

"You are welcome, then. Just make sure Kunou eats more for at least three days from now on. She needs the extra calories to produce more chakra."

"Of course."

A perk of being a youkai. We don't need to worry about getting fat because we burn many calories to produce chakra. As long as you are slightly active, you will never get fat.

"Good. Also–"

Before she can say something, the room door opens, and I can see one of my guards standing behind the door.

"Excuse me, my lady."

"What is it? This better be important."

"Lady Serafall arrived with a bottle of Phoenix Tear and her personal doctor, my lady."

I raise one of my eyebrows at that news. I still have my suspicions. Because of this accident, my mind thinks she is the one bringing that Stray Devil, and then she brings a doctor or something that can heal Kunou to get me in debt to the Devil race.

However, I decided to hold my accusation. We cannot afford a war against them. We don't have the support to fight them.

"Very well. Lead the way."

"Yes, ma'am!"

I look at Shion and say.

"Take care of Kunou and my savior."

"Leave them to me, my lady."

I nod and follow the Tengu guard. We arrived at the ground floor a few seconds later. I can see Serafall waiting with three people, all devils. When she sees me, she quickly gets up and walks to me.

"Lady Yasaka! I come here bringing a Phoenix Tear you can use and the doctors that work for my family. I know that they can help your daughter."

I look at her for a second and say.

"You don't need to worry."

"I-Is she…?"

"No. My daughter is fine and will wake up in a few minutes."

I use my Senjutsu to feel her, and I can feel her shock, curiosity, and, most of all, relief. That means she is not the culprit behind the attack. At least there is one person I can scratch off the list.

"That's good."

"Anything else?"

I decided not to beat behind the bush because I don't want to talk to a devil right now. I want to stay with my daughter and see her wake up.

I can see Serafall knows what I am doing, but she needs to continue what we need to talk about in the first place before the attack. After thinking for a few seconds, she looks at me and says,

"Can I ask for your next free time?"

"Of course, my assistance will send you a letter."

"Thank you."

"If there is nothing else, my guard will send you to the nearby station."

I look at one of the guards, who nods and sees him take Serafall and her companion out of the building. I can feel it. I can feel her curiosity get bigger and bigger in seconds. Her former family dwells in medicine and healing spells, and I know she smells an opportunity to expand it.

I will not allow it. Ryan is vital to Japan, and I will ensure it stays that way. He is also the key to an alliance between Youkai-Japan and the Indonesian Dukun. If the Shinto is unwilling to help us, we must leave our isolation policy and ally ourselves with other factions.
