43 Chapter 40- Slowly and steady wins the race

We're starting to breath more heavily like a more person finishing a 300m run. Looking around in the void, not much could be seen, not my body, barely my hands which are now gone from my eyes. In a gigantic hole where the shades of the upper cylinder are unclear, it was lonely. I was scared of the dark until two-line roads shone below us. I was heading on the right line that stretches forward, while I assumed that Sugi would be landing on the opposing line. Closer and closer we got, we were almost landing on the puffed up brown landing area. We land on the feet, I started to roll forwards, trying to use a little of the force from the air drop. The puffed-up area was only made with a thin layer of cotton with the only wind blowing from the below. As I rolled forwards, the front, side, and back areas all rise, making it difficult to pass onto the main event. I rolled and rolled until I was stopped by a rise of surface height in front. I got on my stomach, due to the uneven surface which makes it extremely hard to stay up.

As the fabric flopped about, my body weight pushes it a little down. The surrounding areas are made taller, which was another reason why walking would be difficult due to you putting all body weight on in a small area, pushing yourself further down. A single stick drifts across my eyes through the rocky fabric waves. I grabbed out it to only stab it through a little of the fabric and drag myself forwards, though I made sure it wouldn't break it.

One pull, and another, I was getting close to the solids area. As parts of the fabric go down, I sometimes catch gripes of Sugi, but that's not important right now.

I nailed it in and lifted over and over again. With a white curved in edge outside of waving fabric within my reach, I pulled my hand forwards. It a stretch and pull, I was dragged along the cloud like fabrics of the landing area. My other hands stretch and pull as my torso is lying on the solid surface, while my leg is going up and down on the behind the fabric. With a twist of the body and a swing from the right leg, a foot landed on the platform, and the rest followed.

Without a second to respond, a gas of wind hit my face. I got up and looked forward to the next part of the race to only see my part broken. A starting point of shambled but few unbreakable blocks on the road. I looked to the side to only see Sugi passing through the first few blocks, pushing down some of the pressure plates as she walks carefully forwards to only return in surprise to the booming on the other side. As missiles launch forwards, I quickly use the sharpened end of the stick from the previous stage. I cut a hole in the fabric and repeated in mini-seconds in a line near the place where I got up. I jumped and lifted my hands as Sugi was still not moving to pause. I ripped out 2m of material. I got it all to the solid surface as I almost slide them in half in the middle, only stopping near of the end of one side, creating a 3.7m long fabric. I ripped a little on one end into eight lines. Each small line of fabric was tied to one rock as Sugi started to look over to see what I was doing. I started to run towards her, getting closer to the edge of my line as I swing the fabric with the rock on top like a cowboy… or cowgirl, I'm not sexist. The rocks were rapped at the very top as I swung it. I close to the edge and bent my body forwards as my hand releases the fabric. It wrapped around the legs.

I jumped over the edge of my line and swinging across the middle space between the two roads.

"A..."

She doesn't even have time to speak as she was dragged down. Her finger held the down to the edge of a pressure plate as I was below the platform of her line. I began to pull myself up to the pressure plate she was holding filled up into the sky, forcing her to grip onto another one below her. Sugi could try to let go of her hands, but that won't be good for anyone. I gripped the last time, pulling myself flying up and landed with a bent knee on the other racing line. After I got up to the platform, the line was much lifter as Sugi was about to get up on her feet. She lifted and grabbed onto a stick with her right that she was holding. She twisted towards and untied the rocks around her. She started to run towards me. She made it halfway from where she started and where I stood. I grabbed the fabric, pulled and swings again from the sides. Sugi lifted her stick up to defend away from her. Due to the stick being held away, it losses power as the fabric hits her, pushing it back. The rocks were further back than the part that hit the stick. The rocks curve back and around the waist. I started my pull and around my left and around to the right as Sugi's feet drags across two pressure plates. Her arms tied in a bent position around the waistline. With the last pull across my body, Sugi's feet left the platform. I quickly unwrap the fabric around my body, before it was pulled down. Sugi's hair was pushed upwards due to the downwards fall as her eyes met mine.
