36 Chapter 33- Games are bad, they said

I moment before my vision went full black, I saw the lights completely shutting. A sudden flash of light pushes me to the opening as on the outside of the game, the strings form together to form a platform and pushes upwards to the feet as the gravity is back to normal. The previous scenery was all gone as I see a white emptied out plastic painted platform underneath me with a screen of games and listed servers. On the corner of my view, I saw a leftover message sent by Sugi with 'Ocean riders, S8' written on it. The screen in front of me had game Ocean riders light up, and the sever 8 chosen without me touching it. It was quickly linked with two different account choosing. The first one was named Luciy48; second being the creation of a new account. The second one lit up, and a box for new username was required.

It began to load through due to password not needed due to the knowledge cube.

I opened my eyes and took a blink to see the red circle ground that I spawned that's located in the middle of the map. My previous; reminders, timers, websites, notes and everything else that was in my view is hidden or changed. The time that I use to have on the top left of my view transferred into the small watch which I can see when I left my hand and felt anything. On the outside of the game, the strings formed a watch shape and wrapped around Anna's hand.

"Anna!"

A familiar sounding voice passed through my ears. It was Sugi running over with one of her hand high waving towards me as she walked over from outside the spawn. She was the same looking in real life with her; medium long snow-white hair, blue short gens with the noticeable light flick at the end, doll-like blue eyes, white shirt that stops at the low stomach area before getting longer to the back, and her soft light skin. The only new addition to her appearance is the white with gold curve watch with the middle curved in the area being filled black with text, and number appearing that shows the weather, time and date.

This machinery is named the Fantasy Ball, with a similar one named, Nerve Port. Fantasy Ball is the one that we're currently using, in which the ball creates the game smell and feel of the things that the player would have experienced in a game. The physical body is moving alongside the character in game. The Nerve Port is different in a sense in which the nerves are blocked, therefore paralyzing your actual body while your consciousness is only reflected in the game. While you feel like moving and experiencing everything inside game which includes eating, your physical body receive none of it and stay unconscious wherever you left it. As the while, you can also eat in-game within the Fantasy Ball, but the item that is that hand will get away as soon as it almost touches the mouth. Also the damage you receive in real life will be nowhere near painful as some you can have in the game, so you won't actually receive the full experience.

I turned to have a look at Sugi and ran towards her. I got near.

"You opened a new account too!"

"Yea, I thought it would have been better this way. After getting high in the tournament for the first time, you start to get people that recognizes your avatar and challenges you to duels."

"So, how are you planning to design your character this time?" Thinking about it, last time you choose a very normal human design."

"Hm, I don't know. I did it last time before I thought you might judge if I had anything else, but you seem fine about it since you went full cat last time. And I thought you might think strange of me if I changed my avatar design right after I changed for the first time."

"Sugi, I'm sorry I couldn't say it sooner."

Anna looked down a little before letting her head up again with a smile.

"let's move up to the clothing store to get things changed."

"Ok, but what about the money?"

"I've transported some from my other account."

"you can do that?"

"Yea, it was on the update few before the latest. It didn't experience but gold, so it wouldn't be much of a deal since you can't just level yourself up."

"Ok. So, command transfer?"

"Yea"

Anna remained a smile on her face as she dropped a bit of her head on the side to look Sugi from a little under up her face. Her hair was straight drooping down from the sides like a frozen waterfall which has been polluted with natural petrol.

I did mine, and by the looks of things, Sugi was done too.

Walking out the circle spawn area inside of a small garden with a splatter of roses, we've reached a large open street. The street was made from red dirt which separates the wood and stone combined buildings, which often is two floors tall with an addition of a red or brown tiled roof. On the street, were map stands that they often put around the city. By placing your hand on the map stand, you're given a map which is stored in your storage. By having an item inside your storage, a casual yellow bag is wrapped around your back. The weight of the bag is contracted by the item's total weight inside. With the thought of getting out the item which is shown on the left bottom of my view, it was teleported into my hands which still has the same weight value. The bag disappears when there's no item in storage.

The free beginning item storage is 10.

Few red and one black dots begin to appear on the brown and little cut paper map. The red dots were the location of the clothes stores while the black showcases of our current location.

"Where do you want to go first?"

"Well… Since today is Thursday and a match is coming up on Saturday, we might was well get some training done before anything else."

"What time is it?"

Sugi had a look down to the watch as Anna in the mids of thought.

"2:15."

"Alright, we have plenty of time."

"What's your course going to compete?"

"I have Gravity Run on attack position without auto-safety or flight on an adventure map, if I survive that, I get to go on a classic Dodge Ball."

"Did they tell you to want adventure map like last season?"

"No, they said to have it as a surprise to test our quick-thinking abilities. Come to think about it the pre-tournament take place during a 3-day span; if we make to the finials, we need to have a day off school."

"If we make it, the last pre-tournament that allowed us to get into this one allowed four people to get into this one, so we didn't have to have a day off."

"Well… It looks like we'll just have to hand it up Early for the work and get a class recording for the day."

"Yea"

"Come to think of it. What do you have for the race? Oh no, we don't know the race afterward until we finished the first one if we do win."

"I have Monster Hunter, and then a sword stand. The tournament never has those games out on display and making one takes a little too much time for a single game."

"I mean, there're few thousand games that we're aware, and they keep changing details about the old ones and add some new ones every year."

"We can do something similar, but the course will be different with different elements."

"I know. Did they say this year's actual tournament was going to be taking place in real life?"

"Alright, let's go to the Void circle and…"

Anna and Sugi walk down the red dirt street alongside the front of the building on the side as a house, cows and occasional Pigs walk on it with a wooden carry at the back for people or items or both. Sugi continued.

"Yea, they did, but it's only for ticket sales since not everyone is into games. You are basically on the ball doing your thing, but a model of you which you control is going to be shown while you don't receive any damage."

"Come to think of it, why did you choose this game?"

"Is there something you don't like about it?"

"No, no. It's just that I want to know why you choose it."

"There isn't a leveling system which was unnecessary for us, and plus it's lower on a player because of it and also the training ground cheap because of the lack of players. Though… I heard they're adding a level system afterward and not now due to this being still in Bata and we're helping to test things. And also, you spawn with your real-life body strength and looks."

"Are the training grounds any good?"

"Yea, I heard this was supposed to be a place to train for the tournaments, but due to lack of special items that many like to play with, the idea was taken down, and there's an opinion to have to keep it original or not"

"Oh, that explains why everything is still the same so far. Come to think of it, why did we do to change our looks?"

Anna and Sugi turn a slight left when the road splited.

"I have no idea. It's a habit I suppose."

"Alright, Let's just head towards the training ground."

Anna chuckled a little.

"Sugi, you know… It's good to see you being more natural and less tense."
