68 Chapter 23: Place to sleep

Down and down, we went. It was always so silent like no life was ever here, whenever there's even the smallest of sounds, it sounds so bright and loud. Along the way, rocks would fall, and animals will pass by. Inside there, there no day or night, it always stays the same. It always has a light that comes down from the sky or from surrounding plants that try or lore insects to their area. Each step I take always sounds so loud and scary, just to make our isolation from our home ever so clear. We walked and walked as our set time on our view changes without physically ever changing. As we moved and moved, we got animals from some holes in the walls and ground. We got out a shovel to dig up an area for putting some dry plants on the pathways. We started a fire and created a pot as we prepare the animals for cooking. We waited for the pot to get hot as I created a bucket with a filter over it to gather some water from a nearby waterfall which has become more common as we traveled. I put the water in as I gathered up some salt from the soils using a basket that passes through everything but salt. I chopped up some tree roots that I saved from the cave and added in. Without much of a place like caves around, we created walls around us to attach to the rocks of the back. We reshaped the walls around the area around the pot of food that we're currently cooking. The wall looked more normal as we created a textured path around our area to look as normal as possible. We opened a space inside and refilled it. We added many different textures on the walls to make it as real as possible. We added many more layers on the inside with one that's made from water that is positioned by Anna, bring a part of the water from the waterfall. There are two more solid walls after the water area to test them if they can breathe underwater if the same creatures do attack us again. We put up a filter on the last wall on the inside to cancel out our smell, sounds and heat signals, to see the method they used first time to find us.

As our preparation was complete, the cooking was finished. We created a table and two chairs for eating. We ate as I tried to reconnect to our network but failed. We began a conversation and tried not to bring up that I want to be home.

"Anna, do you know where we're heading?"

"No, I really don't. No one has officially explored this place yet, so I have no idea what leads from here. From the information we have gathered so far, we can conclude that we are still on the second floor, due to each floor is suppose to be very different. However, it does seem like the first floor is different from what it was supposed to be like."

"Can the official information back home be incorrect? But why would they be though? Could they be hiding something."

"They could be, or the level that they arrived at first wasn't the first level. However, the second level's description is indeed correct…"

We continued for a while and went to sleep. We put sensors on the second outer wall and beyond, allowing me to see whatever is touching it while I sleep, I took my rest… until a very rude wake-up… where nothing was touching the second wall.
