That ended that conversation. They turned to watch Bryan on the phone.

"I don't want this. I don't want any part of it. I never did."

"Oh and apparently she did?!" Renee stood so close, hoping to hear what Nick was saying. "Nick-"

"No dad. I'm not coming. Besides, you're there."

"Damn it Nick! She's asking for you."

"So what?"

"This is your child!" Bryan yelled while Renee held one hand over her mouth in shock and the other on her husband's arm.

"I'm not coming."

"Then, don't come back! Don't come back at all! I don't want to see you here!" Bryan spat.
