1 Past Life And Who I Was

My name is Gustave Imagawa, just a regular person with a love for guns and war since young. I went to college so I could go into the Army as a officer as I climbed up the ranks I meet this beautiful woman named Madison we eventually got married and she was forced to retire because she was pregnant. We lived happily, untill the age of 40 when she died of stroke, I was 44 and was a colonel I retired and my son took care of me even though he didn't need to. I still put him through medical school and he become one of the country's best doctors one day my son came into my room and he said he had come back from a different country treating a patient that paid him a lot of money.

He gave me a surprise, it was a gaming capsule called a full dive pod he said it's a good time waster and that I would enjoy it since I was always home. He said he got it for free since he did such a good job, he said he was going to leave soon again and that we'll play when he gets back I looked at him while he let out a chuckle. He handed me a single player game called The Last War I loved what I read from the online summary you would start as a private and have to choose a faction were you would have to work your way up the factions ranks. Alas that's all I read as I set it up went in the capsule. It went black then I heard a rhythmic sound and a flash of light entered my vision, I was inside of a white space then a little black sphere entered my sight it greeted me with a slightly mechanical voice it said "hi I am the capsules and your personal assistant first let's change what this place looks like so what do you want it to be". I said I would like a nice cabin in a cozy place and good scenery he said now what do you want your personal assistant to look like, I said whatever you feel comfortable with a few seconds later I was in a cabin with a lake in the back and luscious trees in the front and side it was beautiful I look to my left and there was a person with silver hair really light brown skin with yellow eyes adorned in a butlers outfit he said the capsule preparations are done now for the game what are you playing do you want one from the library or to start the game browser. I said there's only one in the library can you please start it he said yes, as I was sitting in a desk gazing at a lake he said done in which it was black again.

Hours passed, did it crash like the computer I used to use in college more and more time flew by until it felt like over a week of just being consumed by darkness whith nothing but your thoughts. I could just feel my consciousness starting to get weak I felt as though I was about to die until Gustav found himself in the woods with nothing on him except regular looking clothes. As he remembered something he called out in his mind, inventory, there was one thing in there called basic survival packx1 he opened it and it gave him a standard Beretta M9 a M4 carbine and a standard army combat uniform. he called game exit.... no response, exit... quit... menu?
