Finding a way

A rapid heartbeat was found as Shane hurriedly pave her way out of a certain garden in the premises of the Reyka Academy. She's somewhat exhausted and was drained from what is happening minutes ago. Also, she was running out of breath and might pass out.

The garden is so big that she could made mistake by thinking of it as a maze! Ironically, the garden is developed into a maze by the older generations to tests the generation that will succeed. Why was she here anyway? To answer that, it's because of a certain creature!

Shocks! What have she done?

Suddenly, a raging sound was heard all over the garden.

Shane is feeling anxious right now. She couldn't tell whether she would hide or would she run away. But her instincts told her to, "Run!" and that's what she's going to do right now! To run and avoid it as much as possible! Stall it if she can! Whatever it takes, just to get rid of the creature!

Minutes later, a heavy breathing was heard. Oh man, she's damn tired! She stopped her tracks as to avoid her body to be worn-out. Coincidentally, there's a tall wall that was blocking her way and this is the dead end for her!

Getting more anxious as she already was, she collapses with her butt first. Would it be better if she hadn't go here? Or changed her path in the first place? Is this the end of her?

-40 minutes before-

Shane is observing the surroundings that came contact within her sight as she walks down through the magnificent hallway. Magnificent statues were placed before every pillar that she passed by. These statues were mostly of those Masters that come before the academy; they are the inspiration of the little kids here.

Well, are they?

Shane wasn't even moved by their achievements. They call themselves Masters. Well technically-yes, but she doesn't consider their outputs in life to be so called 'achievements'. There are so many issues they've brought up before they'd achieved this so called "achievements" and it made the Academy lose its face on their time!

What a waste of space and time!

There are three roads leading to different destinations that is within Shane's sight. The first one leads to the administration buildings and other offices for students. May it be their club or an office for their organization, this road has it.

The second one leads to the classrooms, gym, big fields for athletic events, grass fields for training and in the end is a cliff where the boundary between the market- where town folks usually hangs out, and the Academy where dedicated people to protect the nation are gathered.

Lastly, the unknown road where brave Academiers got through and wander into the depths of this road. Travelers here were those who are curious onto what would lie beyond this grass road. It's given that unknown roads could lead one into unknown dangers or maybe, unknown blessings.

Somewhat confused, Shane was having a hard time picking which road would dhe tread onto.

"Which road would I pick?" she asked herself.

If she is the type who loves to explore the managerial sceneries, then the first road is the one that would suit her best. If the second, then she will be an adventurer with a definite goal in her mind. It is short and precise. If she would pick the third road or path, it will take her to the place where she doesn't know.

Maybe you don't know this but Shane loves to take a risk, explore different kinds of things and she's hoping that these risks will be all worth it. She, furthermore, loves the thrill; the feeling of life that is on the edge of life and death and somehow, experience the feeling of escaping everything real. Also, putting yourself under constant pressure will push your body to the extreme and that is what makes you grow and be a brand new you! Life will never fun if you don't have this one, you know?

It won't be fun if you won't know what she would pick, right? But yes, she'll choose the third path! The unknown path that makes every student here in the Academy thinks on, "What life would we have if we have not yet to take this road?"

Shane was humming as she walks her way towards the path leading to the third section of the road. She'd imagine that this journey will be much more fun if she brought Trisha with her.

Trees that were centuries old were shading her way, providing comfort to her lonely soul. The sound of critters was now audible as she passed by the deep part of this road. Time after time, she wondered when will this end. Shane wants to sit and regain her strength for the mean time for this strenuous walk has put too much toll on her!

Continuing her journey, fields of flowers were nearly on her sight. Numerous bunch of flowers that differs in their kinds were now highlighted. It feels like a paradise that only in this Academy can afford! How Shane wish that she could stay in this area much longer!

As a souvenir, she plucked out the most eye-catching flower in her eyes-the majestic blue rose on the middle part of the field. Well, it really stands out, that's why. Even before, she always wants to look and plant one of them at her backyard but could not afford a chance to.

Every time Shane looked at the majestic blue rose, a deep background reminded her of what is its history. It is said that whoever gets a chance to touch this rose in the ancient times will get a wish-- one wish.

It is like a genie in the lamp but with limited wishes only. There are limits, though. Others said that you couldn't wish for adding three chances again. You should not wish for your personal greed, the impossible things and others.

Therefore, Shane plucked it out and the next scene makes her tremble in fear.

Feeling the tension, Shane suddenly shrieked as a blue eyed, blue skinned monster appeared. Looks like looks can be deceiving! Underneath the majestic blue rose is a monster that wasn't that rare but wasn't that common.

A Gory!

Is it real?! Why this time? She has read the books about this kind and its power is so overwhelming!

Whispering, "Well, don't tell the Librarian that I snuck into their rare section, okay? That's a top secret!"

He got up (which he likely would) and glared at Shane.

Well, what do we know? She just cut his tail-like hair. The majestic blue rose!

Oh no! The rumors about it isn't true after all!

Well, if you put it in a different situation, maybe the rumors were true and additional to that, one got to have his wish and his wish is to create a monster like guardian (which is this Gory) and poof! Here it is! But! Maybe, this rumor thingy isn't true after all and that others may just be bluffing about this. They were just hypnotized to say that it can grant any wish to think that others can, too and if they took the bait, the Gory will lure them to his trap and eat them! Well, he slices out a tinsy bitsy part of their soul as a sacrifice. In return, he reverts them into their normal state (a not so normal, though) and erased their memories of that certain moment.

Shane's brain where nowhere to be found. Little did she know that the Gory is preparing to advance and attack her. In an instant, instincts within her kicked in! Run!

The Gory charges towards Shane and she must say the Gory is fast! Instinctively, she ran away to avoid it.

Maybe, running is her forte? What do you think?

Think, think, think!

Where would Shane go?

She analyzed her current perilous situation.

Road, Trees. Fields, path, monster!

The road! Shane must go straight for that road! There will be a high chance that she could find an escape route there and meanwhile formulate a plan on escaping!

Run! Run! Run!

Shane ran as fast as she could but the Gory keeps getting closer and closer to her! She felt betrayed! Why does the Gory have to get a super-fast legs like Flash while she couldn't? Why is this world, unfair?

But she can't give up now! It is now or never!

With all her might, Shane tried to run as fast as she can (as in, really). Shane really tried! Promise!

Shocked, she stopped on her tracks (this isn't necessary this time) but, she is so doomed! A vast maze is in her sight and she can't help but feel so helpless!

But Shane mustn't give up now or she will be a dead meat later!

A roaring sound was heard moments later! He's here and he's catching up!
