43 God Body After Effects

Rey heard a growling sound that inched ever so closer to him. He tried to move, but he could barely move his pinky. His complexion was white like snow, and his eyes couldn't stay open. He felt drained and completely void of energy. Before Rey could figure out what was behind him, he fell asleep.

In a half-awake, half-sleeping state, Rey opened his eyes and saw walls of black stone surround him.

"Come, once more!"

Rey couldn't help but focus on that voice. As if it was the only thing that mattered, the rest of the noises suddenly vanished.

There was a soft stillness in the air as Rey looked around and saw the Space God before him. Rey recalled that Hibari was personally taught by the Space God and sat as his right-hand man.

"Awake your god body!" His voice stilled Rey's heart.

With no distractions, Rey felt his full bloodline come alive as a chain of pure space energy coiled around his body. A set of armor donned on him. It's color shone red, constantly weaving itself together just like the Space Gods. He felt fueled by endless power. Before Rey could grasp any more from the memory, the scene before him changed and he returned to reality.

'That doesn't help me out at all!" He inwardly cursed, his head laying on the grassy earth.

"Get away from him!" Riza's voice was clearly heard by Rey. He sighed and felt thankful. His bitter heart felt warm with Riza. Snarls and growls were constantly echoing throughout the forest. Finally, the wolves relented and Riza ran over to Rey.

"You idiot!" She screamed into Rey's ears. It was so loud that he thought he might go deaf afterward. "Why aren't you responding?" She saw his pale face and dead eyes. Yet he was still conscious and breathing. She sighed and hugged him.

"Overexhaution I see... Next time, don't do something so reckless! You could've been killed!"

Riza looked at the rubble in front of her and felt scared. This isn't something an Evolver should be able to do! This goes beyond what they all know as fact. This type of destruction, the level and power of such an attack... it was similar to a Saint! For Rey to skip two levels worth of power, it was no wonder he couldn't respond.

"Fool... I'm here for you, okay? Just make sure to rely on me when you need to. Running off like that..." she rubbed her tear eyes.

"You think you're the only one who lost their parents? The only one who has suffered? The only one who only feels pain when they come back home?!" Riza stopped talking for a moment. "Just... be careful. I- I can't lose you too."

Rey was too exhausted and fell asleep before he could respond, and Riza carried him away. The Sun Empire's leaders and Sonalius were right behind her.

They too marveled at Rey's sudden outburst of power. Even Sonalius couldn't do such a thing without burning away more than ten years of his life!

"Foolish. Completely run by your emotions, Rey..." Riza paused and looked at the ground, her rosy cheeks a little red. "How can I like someone so foolish. Dummy." She looked back up and shook her head.

The night passed swiftly as all loose ends were tied up. With king Sig'car dead and the rest of the rebel lychni crushed under their own city walls, there was little left to do besides rest and depart.

Despite the group's tiredness from battle, the whole town of Lorea was set on celebrating. They cracked open barrels of their finest wine and poured it on tap. Cheers and celebrations echoed throughout the land.

Riza tried searching for Rey's house, but it was already destroyed. With no other choice, she laid Rey down at her parent's empty house. Since her parents passed away, she would inherit their lives - wealth and problems alike; it was Riza's house now.

Rey was still sleeping when matriarch Tyrien came knocking.

Riza didn't want to get the door, but it was her master now. With a squeak, the door opened and Tyrien walked in.

"How do you feel?" Tyrien looked Riza in the eyes, her beady gold-colored eyes reflecting a red, strained glaze.

"Tired... Can we talk about whatever it is you came here for tomorrow, master?" Riza rubbed her eyes and yawned.

"Sure... Rest up, we'll all head back to the capital in the afternoon."

Matriarch Tyrien left in a hurry and closed the door behind her.

Riza sighed as she looked back at Rey. She sat near him and rubbed his head.

"Truly... I'll stay by your side, Rey."
