A hint of desire

Aurora's Pov

A moment later, his eyes rose to meet mine once more and he looked away with a quick motion of his head, cheeks pinkened by what had to be an embarrassment, yet the look that lingered behind his gaze seemed to imply something else entirely...a hint of desire?

"I'll come back when you're dressed." He whispered, his voice hoarse as he glanced towards the door. I nodded in response, biting my lip in an attempt to contain the eruption of butterflies that were rapidly taking flight within me.

And immediately after that, he turned around and quickly left, the door softly clicking shut behind him.

As soon as he disappeared from view, I let out a breath that I had been holding, my face burned with a fiery blush and I brought my fingers up to press against it, hoping to ease the heat rising to my skin, taking in deep breaths for several minutes before finally releasing them and slowly exhaling.
