1 Chapter one

The wedding preparation had begun two months ago and everyone was desperately waiting for the day to arrive. The fitting had been done and the dress was already sent over. It was lying in the corner of the bride's room neatly folded.

The bride in question had no care in the world, she was busy sleeping with her headphones on. Her room was a complete mess, scattered clothes and shoes were everywhere in the room. It made no difference to her that she was supposed to clean her. She was sleeping without her blanket which was kicked off the bed in the middle of the night. She continued to enjoy her sleep not knowing that a storm was brewing in her living room.

In the living room, the groom's mother had shown up with very important news. Her son had to travel for an important business trip out of the Philippines and he wanted to finalize everything before he left. So the wedding must take place the very next day at the latest. The bride's familbride'ssurprised about the rushed date and had no idea how they were going to make everything ready by tomorrow. They were the bride's family and they could not refuse the groom's request hence they agreed for the wedding to take place the next day.

They started making calls to various people to get the work done faster. They called the bakery and ordered the cakes for the next day, then called the event planner to inform her of the change of plans. They called the church and booked it for the wedding and called Bliss Gardens to book the garden for the wedding reception. They did everything that they could think of to be necessary for the wedding. Some of the family members went to the garden to ensure all the arrangements are done properly while others went to the church.

The wedding shoes arrived and the rings too, everyone was busy with the preparations that they forgot to inform the bride that her wedding date had been moved. She got up from the bed and headed straight for a shower and showered. She searched her pile of clothes to find something to wear after her shower. She chose a long black skirt with a small fitting blouse that hugged her. She went to have breakfast but no one was home and there was also no food in the house. She took her car keys and drove off to go have breakfast at a nearby restaurant.

She reached her favorite restaurant and parked the car, getting off she bumped into someone." Sorry," she said to the person before she saw his face. The boy was none other than her ex-boyfriend who had left about two months ago to go abroad.

"Leah, is that you?" he asked her. " No it is my ghost," she said walking into the restaurant but something told her that he was following her.

"Leah, can we talk?" he asked sitting down next to her.

"Aren't you already talking to me?" she asked him with a bit of sarcasm.

"Are you still angry with me for leaving? I promise that I never once forgot you even after I left. You were always in my heart I swear," he said holding her right hand.

"Don't you think it's too late for that Dale," she said yanking her hand away from his hold. "I don't care about all this right now so just leave," she said irritated by his sudden confession.

"Just tell me whether or not you still love me or not?" he asked her and she felt a pang in her heart. She couldn't answer him, she didn't like lying and the truth was that she still loved him a lot.

"Well, I will tell you this, I am getting married very soon so just leave me alone," she said signaling the waiter that she was ready to order.

"What! To whom are you getting married to Leah?" he asked her and the waiter arrived.

"I will have your Saturday breakfast special," she said and the waiter turned to Dale to take his order. " A cup of hot coffee," he ordered and the waiter left to get them their order.

"Tell me, who are you getting married to?" he asked her again when she didn't reply to him the first time.

"That is none of your business. Will you please leave, I don't want to talk to you," she said and took her food from the waiter before he could put everything on the table. She hungrily dug into her food ignoring the man opposite her who kept looking at her with pleading eyes. She didn't have time to deal with him right now, she ate her food very quickly and stood up to leave and he followed her. Upon reaching the door she started feeling dizzy and fell backward.

Dale hurried to catch before she hit the ground. "Leah, are you alright?" he asked getting worried. He carried her into his car and drove her to the hospital. The doctor took her and run a proper check on her and went to the lab. Leah and Dale sat in the hospital waiting for the doctor to return with her results. The doctor came back sometime later.

"Congratulations to the both of you. You are pregnant," she said happily to the two making freezes in their seats. Leah couldn't believe what she was saying, she couldn't believe what the doctor was saying. " I am happy to inform you that you are three months pregnant. You both will become parents," she said and left the room.

Both Leah and Dale sat in complete silence which none of them wanted to break. They both knew that they were the parents of the unborn child because of the time of pregnancy. And Dale was the only man that Leah had ever been with and not to mention they both were In a relationship three months ago. The pregnancy was a good thing for Dale because it meant that he still had the chance to be with Leah. But it was a nightmare for Leah because she was engaged to another man and was to marry soon.

"I'm pregnant," she said with disbelief in her eyes and her voice was shaking.
