86 Chapter 86: Bad News

River

“Blade?” Ellie repeated. “What do you mean?”

River hated to interrupt the nice conversation it looked like Ellie was having with her friend Shelby at the coffee shop, but he had to tell her what Alan had discovered when he was out on his patrol.

“That’s right. Alan saw him and several of his warriors out in the forest between our two pack lands.” River pursed his lips and waited for her to absorb that.

“That b*stard!” Shelby exclaimed before Ellie could say anything at all. “Let’s go kick his a*s!”

Ellie stared at her friend for a moment with one eyebrow raised. “Tell us how you really feel, Shelby.”

“I’m just saying, we should go get him right now before he can hurt anyone else,” Shelby said with a shrug.

“I agree,” Ellie said. “But the problem is, we aren’t all organized yet. There are other packs that want to help. We need to come up with a plan to trap him between all of us so he can’t get away, and we can’t implement that plan just yet.”
