16 Days passing

After the first training day, I had Sarah continuously train in the coliseum to hone her shooting skills. It seems she had a talent for marksmanship as she improved rapidly each day she was in the arena.

I myself did some training to make sure my swordsmanship didn't get rusty st all, while keeping an eye on Sarah's training. After losing track of time, APD-01 had informed me that we would be arriving at the border in a matter of three days now. I told Sarah that she can expect to be on her first alien planet, which only encourages her to train more so she didn't have to worry about holding me back too much if anything went haywire.

The next planet we will arrive at I plan to have ADP also go down to stock up on supply's that we need aboard the ship. I'll be meeting an old friend on the planet when we get there, I bet he'll be excited to see me after our last adventure. Now back onto what's happening now; Sarah is currently battling against thirty-six boys with the range and melee split down the middle.

She still takes hits here and there but mostly she is doing prettty good avoiding, the most impressive part is her accuracy when shooting at the droids. Almost every hit is a headshot, and she rarely ever misses. I was shocked by the raw talent she had as a shooter, I guess it's about time to at least teach her the basics of hand-to-hand combat in case she finds herself unarmed in combat.

"Hey Sarah, come over here for a minute." I yelled across the room as she finished off her last opponent.

"What is it, something wrong?" She asked immediately as she arrived by my side.

"Nothings wrong, i just bought that it's about time you learned some hand-to-hand combat martial arts. Do you not want to?" I jokingly say as I pretend to walk away from the training room.

"Stop!! I want to, so teach me now please!" She declares as she rushes over and stood in front of me blocking my path to the door.

"Haha, no need to get so serious. I was just joking, of course I'll teach you. But remember it will only be the basic for now as you'll be focusing mostly on your ranged combat." I state as a reminder so she doesn't get carried away.

"I know, so how will you teach me? Your not gonna make me wrestle some robots or anything willl you? There bodies are a little too hand to be fighting without a weapon." She cringes as she thinks about it.

"No starting off you will be sparring with me, then you will move onto battling the bots." I inform her of the lesson plan for the rest of our days before arriving. "Well let's get started, remember this will be no weapon combat. Come at me, let me see where you currently are at for martial prowess."

Once I told her to start, she ran full speed towards me in a tackling form. I merely twisted to the right while pushing down on her body to make her fall straight into the ground.

"First lesson, don't charge straight at enemy, especially like that with your body full of openings. You need to size up your opponent first to see if there is any visible weakness or opening on the enemy. When you charge, you give the advantage to the enemy with them making the first strike. The best way to initiate an attack on your enemy is starting with a feint, like this."

As she stands up from being knocked down, I use a knife hand stroke toward her throat but abruptly stop while already having my leg in the air hitting her in the side which throws her her to the ground with a pained expression on her face.

"Also when doing faints always go for vital places that the body will naturally react to protect, because even if they know it's a feint there body will still react. Of course unless they are a master of combat such as myself where they can even control their body's natural instincts."

She got back up slowly; this time she gets in a fighting stance and is sliding her feet across the floor as she inches her way closer to me.

"Good, it's okay to be cautious against an enemy as it will improve your chances of surviving. But you need to make a move soon or they will."

With that warning I move in for a simple punch, which she barely dodges to the right while throwing her left fist at my face. Instead of dodging or blocking, I slide my foot between hers and sweep her feet from underneath to make her loose her balance and miss her strike. As she falls, she looks at me with an upset face as if I cheated her that time around.

"Don't just focus on the upper body, even if you can't double task with both arms and legs; you need to at least be aware of your opponents legs and their movements. Alright I think you've taken enough of a beating for today, so to finish today's lesson off, just go to those punching bags and give it a hundred strikes with each arm and each leg. After that your finished for the day!" Is what I tell her as I walk out to go get prep my gear and Fighter for the trip when we arrive at the border planets.
