3 Chapter Two: Back To a Land You Thought You Forgot

Aliyah finally got back home after the uncomfortable interaction with the boss, he was handsome yet, too confident, and no one can't just walk up to the leading director of an app, game and software mega tech giant like her. The audacity was outstanding and she liked that.

She unlocked the door to her home, she had everything in there, a TV, a king sized bed, money. But the one thing that was missing was a family, a family she thought she'd never have.

She entered her room and plopped down on her bed and slowly undressed to take a shower. The warm water ran down slowly yet it managed to pacify her resentment to an extent. She remembered all that happened in the past after slowly washing down all her pain in the shower, all she lost, all she had, all she remembered made her angry, the things she could have done but couldn't.

She finally finished her shower and went downstairs for dinner, she went to the fridge and cooked up something to eat, she frowned when she saw the dining table with three more chairs, and she gripped her plate in anger.

Aliyah looked around once more and images popped up in her head, she frowned and went upstairs, abandoning her food behind, she went up to her unoccupied attic and found a box, marked "Dad's stuff" she went over and opened the box.

Aliyah saw pictures inside. She frowned as she looked at them one by one, every picture of her dad, every picture of her father, every picture of her hero. Tears started welling up in her eyes.

"Why did you leave me?!" Aliyah screamed and threw the boxes on the floor and she sat on the floor in utter defeat, after sobbing a few minutes more, she realized what she had done, most of the pictures were damaged because of her.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry dad, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do this, I'm sorry " she said, in between sniffs and apologies, she gathered the glass desperately in order to save the few that were not broken, a piece of glass then cut through her skin, leaving a gash of blood trickling down, and she winced in pain.

"Ouch!" She said and she gave up trying to pick the glasses anymore. She looked over at the box and saw a book with an old black cover peaking underneath a very large frame of a picture, it had to be centuries old. She picked it up and it read “to my dear daughter" she read out loud and flipped to the first page that was handwritten.

"Dear daughter, I know you're probably, angry or annoyed that I'm sick right now, the extra expenses might be too much, I wrote this book just for you, you always told me of your past adventures and I did a bit of research to make this book, daughter if you're reading this I might be dead, or your mom finally got a divorce, or your sister Leah finally ran away from a broken family like ours... I know I'm not the best dad or anything you wanted, I know you might be too busy fending for yourself because we did a horrible job at it, but I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm a horrible father, I'm sorry Lia

- Papa"

She stopped reading and started crying. "You're the best father, dad, don't be sorry, please" she said as a teardrop went down and landed on the book. She turned the first page.

Nothing was on it.

She turned another page.

Nothing.

And Nothing.

And nothing.

She screamed and threw the book aside "I just want to die!!!" She said and went downstairs to sleep, hopefully she'll get the closure she needed, leaving the book alone, and it started glowing blue.

Long ago a book was created, when the realms were still together, vampires, werewolves, wizards, humans and other magical creatures. The book, like all rumors associated with it, was indeed alive and was passed down to a generation of humans.

Lia's family was chosen to guard the book because it had intense knowledge of the things hidden in our past, but one thing we don't know is that it was created with all of the major magical 4, it was given unlimited number of lives by the vampires, it was given the ability to transform between day and night by werewolves, it was given a magical presence by the wizards, magic that is yet to be unlocked and finally it was given its black cover by the humans.

All were present in unity and peace, but now they stayed in disharmony and pain.

And the book held a secret it was most willing to share.

But consequences are much to bear.

---

As the night went on the book continued glowing nonstop, Aliyah continued tossing and turning on the bed. The book finally emitted a bright blue light and Aliyah was being guided to a place she didn't know and was beyond her knowledge, something she didn't like at all.

She finally arrived in a different realm "Your highness, Princess Aliyah" a servant bowed down greeting her at her balcony. She smiled at the servant "Speak!" She commanded "His royal Highness seeks for you!" The servant said and Aliyah waved her hand at him motioning him to go.

She stood at the balcony like she had been there for quite some time; she couldn't place her finger how she got there though.

"How did I get here?"

"Okay now I'm lucid dreaming?" She laughed to herself, "At least now I'm in control of what happens. I asked to die and here I am living how ironic" She twirled in her bright red dress, ornamented with excessive jewelry.

She looked at the unnatural moon, it was bigger and brighter than what she was used to, she admired the environment, it was a kingdom, her balcony was filled with flowers, she felt as if she was always here, strange it was, very strange. She looked at her hand and the gash of blood was still there and it hurt.

She smiled and laughed really loud "Very funny now, I want to wake up!" She said snapping her fingers really loud, she sighed.

Luke sighed as he finally came back from work really late, he entered his home, which was already open, which meant one thing that his sister was home.

"Rhea!" He whispered, aware that she was probably sleeping by this time, he wandered into the living room and found her on the couch with popcorn in her hand and a movie playing, she was asleep, and drool was escaping her mouth, he laughed to himself and inched closer.

He put off the TV, carried the popcorn away and he carried her to the guest room and dropped her carefully on the bed.

He whispered slowly "Goodnight, for the last time dear." And went to his attic, he had a story to fulfill.
