The Last Generation of Werewolves

Chapter 1.

A predestined birth. All human race had been waiting for the birth of new ruler since long time ago. After the long waiting, the heir finally born into the world.

"By the grace of the God, the heir of this kingdom has been born into this world. He who shall rule this country. He will be the one who will protect our homeland in the future. He is the heir of the next Cloud Armor. Please welcome, Prince Lars Di Nosferas!"

"Long live Prince Lars!"

All eyes were on the presence who carried by a man right in front of them. They shouted out loud Lars Di Nosferas's name as they looked at the baby who was forty days old and had just been introduced to the public.

After Hundreds years of waiting, the kingdom Cloud Armor, which ruled by king Conte Claudio Di Nosferas and queen Contessa Viola Di Nosferas, they were finally blessed with a son. His name was Lars Di Nosferas.

The long waiting bear fruit with a birth of Prince Lars, who was promised to lead Nosferas clan, the strongest clan of Werewolf race.

The prince Lars was in Claudio's embrace as the priest announced his name in front of all people present. Happy tears overflowing through people's face as they held the ceremony of introducing the prince as well as coronation as royal crown prince of Cloud Armor.

"I am Conte Claudio Di Noseras, hereby thank you all, who have been putting your big effort for hundreds years to protect this kingdom; because of your blood and sweat and tears this kingdom moved on to triumph. Without all of you, prince Lars would not be born. And thank to you, the prince will become the next leader of Cloud Armor kingdom. Let me say this once again, I am Conte Di Nosferas, thank you all for protecting us."

Claudio bowed his head in front of hundreds Nosferas folks. There was not even the slightest hesitation at all in his heart when he did it for the reason that he believed that without his people, there would be no kingdom of Cloud Armor.

"Long live King Claudio!" 

"Long live King Contessa!" 

"Long live King Claudio!" 

Even when the crowd and noise filled the area that surrounded him, there was not the slightest sound of crying from prince Lars. He was calm baby, so calm to the point that he did not even go rampage even though he was being hugged by Claudio so tightly.

A bright smile surfaced on Claudio's face as well as Contessa as they watched a sea of people who were delightfully welcome the presence of their son. 

As a parents, there was no such thing that would make them more happy other than the birth of Lars, the child who was promised to lead the Cloud Armor kingdom just like what the prophecy said. 

The people of Cloud Armor burst forth the presence of the prince with joy. They kept shouting out the price's name and his father, king Claudio. 

The king and the Queen as well as their son looked good with their fancy clothes. As a queen, she was paying her attention to her appearance and how to act when she showed herself in front of people.

It was an exemplary thing for women out there. Therefore, she became the pillar of beauty for all women in Cloud Armor. 

Everyone out there in the Cloud Armor was blissful. King Claudio had prepared the big party to celebrate the coronation of prince Lars. The road along the kingdom was filled with people who was enjoying a lot of attractions and the dishes served in the party. 

The envoy from neighboring kingdom was also presence at the party. They were invited by the king Claudio personally. All the special guests were in the special room filled with all kinds of food and beverage from all over the country. 

The king Claudio was sitting on his throne along with his son who carried by him on his lap while the Queen Contessa was sitting next beside him. Both of them tried to talk to their son who was forty days old. In spite of unable to understand the language that his parents said, the prince was still smile, as if he fully know the words said by his parents.

"Look at him, dear. He is so dashing just like his father." the king Claudio stated as he pinched the fragile cheeks of his son.

"You're right, my love. Even though he is still small, but our son beams with a great aura like his father who has good leadership." Queen Contessa responded confidently while tilting her head as if she was trying to make Lars talk.  

The small baby laughed as though he was able to understand what his parents said to him. His tiny lips and his eyes which had blue color like ocean made everyone who saw him fascinated.

"Sweet boy, who is your name? You're Lars Di Nosferas. You will be known as prince Lars and everyone will love you, my sweet little boy." 

Contessa kept talking to Lars who was in king Claudio's lap. The baby occasionally yawned and then closed his eyes like typical baby's attitude but soon after, he opened his eyes again. The way he acted at that moment was so amused. 

Both king Claudio and queen Contessa laughed to their heart content. The presence of Lars really made their life so perfect. A marriage that had been forged hundreds of years had finally paid off with a birth of a child.

"My lord."

In the midst of the happiness, a woman who looked younger than queen Contessa showed up in front of the king and queen with an elegant appearance like aristocratic in general. As soon as Contessa saw her, she quickly got up and walked to the woman who was standing not far from the queen.

"Come here. Don't you want to see the prince Lars, do you?" 

As the queen Contessa said those words enthusiastically, she pulled the woman's hand and comeback to where her son was. The queen wanted to show her son and shared her and her king's happiness to the woman who wore purple dress and loose hair.

"Let me carry Lars for a moment, there's someone I want to show our son to." said the queen Contessa while taking her son from the king's lap and then proudly showed the handsome face of her son to Dame Elina Di Nosferas, the purple dressed woman.

"Take a look at him. Doesn't he so handsome? He resembles his father so much, isn't he?" 

Dame Elina gave her brightest smile when the queen Contessa showed her son to her. 

"You're right. He looks like his father. I'm sure, one day Lars will be the great leader just like his father." Dame Elina stated with determination in her voice while gently rubbing Lars's cheeks.

Lars fell asleep. It seemed like he was tired of playing with his parents. Dame Elina did not talk much and only showed her smile. Just like any other who came to the party, she never forgot to congratulate the queen Contessa. 

"May I carry him?" asked Dame Elina as she lifted up her hands. The moment she asked, the queen Contessa gave her response quickly. 

"Of course, You're his mother too so you have the right to carry him." said the queen Contessa and then handed over Lars to Dame Elina without hesitation. Then, the woman carefully embraced Lars's small body. 

There was nobody in the Cloud Armor's kingdom who did not know about Dame Elina Di Nosferas. She was the king's concubine, or in other words, she was the second mother to prince Lars. Despite of the status of Dame Elina who was mere the king's concubine,  the queen Contessa did not have the problem with her at all. For her, Dame Elina was like her own little sister and of course she was considered as Lars' mother too.

When they were engrossed in their conversation, suddenly a bodyguard came to the king Claudio with scared expression like he was about to faint. He was rushing to the king's side and from the way he acted, everyone there knew that something bad might happen and he was about to tell about it.

"My lord!" the bodyguard called out to the king with tremble voice. His body was trembling to the point that even the spear he held was unstable and shaking.

The king who was having conversation with his invited guests quickly turned around as soon as he heard the bodyguard's voice. "What's the matter? Why are looking so pale and worried?" he said with curious expression. He could feel clearly that his bodyguard was under pressure of someone else.

The queen Contessa who was standing not far from the king felt as curious as him. She quickly snatched her baby from Dame Elina's arms and walked toward the king Claudio.

The bodyguard lowered his head and did not say a word. He was a bit hesitant at first but he tried to tell all he knew to the king Claudio. 

"Pardon me, my lord." 

The king Claudio raised his eyebrow and so was the queen Contessa. Both of them were waiting for the guard to spill the information he brought. However, before the guard was able to finish his sentence suddenly a loud voice called out to the king from outside the room.

 "Congratulation, my brother!
