95 Fixing A Broken Heart

The commercial that was being shot in La Serene Beach Resort Hotel was a huge success both in terms of commercial, online and print ads media promotion. Gavin and Stacy became household names, recognizable and famous anywhere they go. Gavin's fame skyrocketed throughout the entertainment industry as an endorser and as a model in the modeling world.

Several photo shoots were already lined up for him to do.

The next in line for his photo shoot schedule was that of the beverage company. The shoot is going to be held in the nearby beach within the city's boundaries.

Tomorrow, they will travel towards the beach along with another set of a production team that was chosen by the beverage company. If he has to choose he would rather want the previous production people that's with him in the La Serene Hotel because they were cool people to work with, but he has no says in the matter.

Gavin stared at the ceiling of his room in the condo, feeling tired and beaten. The emptiness starts creeping again in his heart. He lose Jessy, the only woman he ever loved!

As much as possible he wants to bury himself in tons of different assignments every day so that he can take his mind away from Jessy, away from her painful and blatant betrayal of his trust and love.

He still can remember the way Jessy moaned and enjoyed his brother's sexual advances. It's so painful to watch and it replayed in his mind day and night. It's a fatal blow to his heart, until now he still can't get over it.

He would never see Jessy again in the same light, nor go back into the mansion or visit the Facility in this lifetime.

It's his fault from the very start, Jessy and his brother were the ones destined to get married not him, and it dawned on him just now that he was just the antagonist of their love story, the one who nearly destroyed the couples fate. At least he must be thankful that at some point in time Jessy loved him truly, they shared a love like no other when she was still single.

In the last few days, he thought that it's better that he wasn't resurrected at all after he died. He might still be sleeping in eternity until now, no memory of his love for Jessy, no pain and no excruciating suffering just like what he feels right now.

But he's alive and his mother was right. He had a bright future ahead of him, success and fame. Maybe it's about time to live up his new life to the fullest and forget Jessy and their past. With those thoughts in mind he suddenly felt energized.

He got up from his bed and entered the bathroom, he took a shower to refresh his mind and body.

He exited his room and found Caden in the kitchen busy cooking their lunch.

"What's for our lunch, bro?" he took one apple from the fridge, washed it on the sink and sunk his teeth on it.

"We got fried fish, fried egg, fried chicken, everything is fried bro," Caden answered.

Gavin tilted his head and laughed aloud.

"My goodness bro. No other variant of dishes? Always fried foods? How about stew veggies or pork? Or make some shrimp soup!" he grinned.

Caden pouted. "I think it's about time we need to hire a cook to prepare our foods, bro. I'm really not good in cooking," he scratched his head admitting to his weakness.

He saw frustration plastered on his friends face. "Actually, you don't need to cook for us, bro. Starting tomorrow we shall start eating on the ground floor, there were several restaurants in there to choose from."

Caden smile widens. "Yes! I agree to that! Actually, cooking is tiring, much better if we just eat in the restaurant to save myself from cooking-related stress."

Gavin helps Caden place the utensils in the table and they start eating the fried foods.

"Actually, your cooking isn't that bad, Caden. You just need to try cooking other dishes to broaden your culinary skill, knowledge, and expertise," he commented.

"Thanks, bro. But as what you said earlier, starting from tomorrow I will resign from being your cook, thanks for the offer," he said beaming.

"Okay, that's settled now." He stood up and got a bottled water from the fridge and poured it in his glass. "We will go to the gym later and then let's have a dip in the swimming pool. Am looking forward to relax while the shooting has not started yet," he said.

Caden smiled broadly. "Yep, let's do that bro. I miss the babes already," he was talking about his lady friends that he used to talk to every time he took a swim in the man-made swimming pool.

Gavin nodded. "Okay we will do all that, gym first then swimming until night," he said.

Caden gave him a thumb up sign.

"By the way bro, you have no plans to visit your place? I noticed that sometimes you just disappear out of nowhere. I sometimes think that you have a hidden powers or something related to the likes of Superman or Batman," he joked.

Gavin stared at Caden. Is it now the right time to reveal his secret to his friend?

"If I tell you that I am not an ordinary human being bro, how would you feel?" he was observing the reaction of his friend.

Caden scratched his head a bit confused. "I guess, as long you won't kill, or drink my blood bro, then am fine with who you really are. Your secret is safe with me. I owe you everything that I am now, we've been through a lot together and you're like my very own brother, the only family I ever had. You don't have to show me your real identity if you don't want to. I understand your need for privacy and secrecy."

Gavin smiled. "I know I can trust you, bro. Thank you!"

"Let me ask you something bro, you didn't miss, Jessy?"

Gavin shut his eyes upon hearing the mention of Jessy's name. An agonizing pain shoots to his chest piercing through his heart. Did he miss Jessy? Of course, he did, just that she was already married to his brother and nothing can change that.

"She finally married my brother a few days ago, bro. Everything is over now between Jessy and I. We are living separate lives now."

Caden coughed a little, he saw the pain in his friend's eyes. If he knows about the wedding he wouldn't ask about it in the first place. It would only hurt Gavin the more remembering everything.

"You want to forget her bro? I mean to forget her easily?" asked Caden.

"H-how?"

"Find a new girlfriend! That's it. If you have a new lady love you can easily forget Jessy. If a woman hurt you... the cure is to find another woman to replace her place in your heart," said Caden.

Gavin smiled. "Hmmm---why not?"

They resumed eating in silence.

Fifteen minutes later...

Done with eating, they cleaned the table and washed the dishes together.

One hour later, they were already in the gym to build up their muscles and biceps, they tried every gym equipment that caught their interest.

By 5:00 PM in the afternoon, they were already chillaxing in the swimming pool.

Caden mingles with his lady friends while Adam just go along with them, a silent observer. He examined each girl's physical attribute, too bad, Jessy's face keeps interrupting his thoughts, he give up trying.

Gavin sighed. It's too early to look for another girl to replace Jessy.

He needs enough time to completely heal his broken heart.
