104 Be Selfish!

The Next Day...

Inside Ruth's office.

"What? You no longer want to accept new modeling and endorsement gigs? But Gavin... why? We have five months fully booked schedule waiting for you, I already accepted the contracts, we can no longer back out from our commitments, my clients will get angry and disappointed. They want you to represent their company and products because of your popularity, you are in demand nowadays," a looked of worry and sadness appeared on Ruth's face.

Gavin smiled. "Don't worry Aunt Ruth, I will honor all my commitments in your agency. I will finish all my scheduled gigs for the next five months, this way your clients won't feel disappointed."

Ruth's face brightened up. "That's awesome, you scared me! My business will surely take a hit if you will suddenly cancel everything, it's not good for the business if we cancel clients' contracts."

"So what will you do next?" Ruby asked.

"I will try my hands with car racing and real state business just like Aunt Ruby," Gavin answered.

Ruby smiled. "Sure, I will be more than willing to help and assist you in everything that you need. My people are yours for disposal, Gavin," she said.

"Thank you, Aunt Ruby!" he said.

Aunt Ruth coughed a little. "Gavin, just in case if you become a famous car racer, and sponsor's offers will start coming in, can you please consider my agency?"

Gavin nods his head. "No problem, Aunt Ruth."

"Thank you, Gavin. So, anything else?" Ruby asked.

"Nothing. I think I'm done here already, I will go now," he said. "Bye Aunt Ruth and Aunt Ruby!"

"Bye Gavin!" Ruby and Ruth replied to him in unison.

Gavin rose to his feet and exited the office. Caden was already waiting for him in the hallway, admiring the pretty models that pass by.

"Having fun checking the ladies, eh?" he asked.

Caden smiled broadly. "When can I ever have a girlfriend?" his eyes were filled with wistful longing.

"Relationships with opposite sex sucks! Learn from me!" Gavin said with bitterness in his voice.

Caden snorted. "Not all women suck! I mean not all relationships suck!"

"Says who? Coming from someone who never had a girlfriend before. Should I believe you?"

Caden laughed aloud, his laughter vibrated in the hallway prompting the two pretty models to glance their way, he winked at them, the girls giggled.

"Bro, you are just bitter with the way your relationship with Jessy ended. But you just have to look left and right and you will see lots of pretty girls, they will surely go on a date with you in a heartbeat, all you need to do is ask politely and they will say yes!" Caden said.

His eyes were fixed on the two pretty ladies standing on the other end of the hallway. "Look at those smoking hot babe over there...," he said.

Gavin looked at the ladies. "Yeah, they're cute, but they can never be as beautiful as Jessy," he commented.

Caden snorted. "That is what am saying, unless you start forgetting Jessy, you will never be able to move on! I told you this before and I will tell you again if a woman breaks your heart, the only one who can mend your broken heart is another woman. Get rid of Jessy's memories in your heart so that you can learn to open up your heart again to someone new. In short, move on with another woman, that's the best solution to a heartache," he said.

"Say's who?" Gavin asked smirking.

"From someone who never had a girlfriend," Caden answered.

They erupted in laughter.

"But anyway, why is it that it's easy to advise on someone's heartbreak?" Caden asked.

"Because you are not in my shoes. It's easy for you to say those things, yet hard for me to do cause I'm the one feeling the pain," Gavin replied.

"Seriously bro, if you still love Jessy, be selfish! be greedy! snatch her away from your brother since you already have your mother's approval, what is holding you back? There's a saying that goes like this...All is fair in love and war... in case you didn't know about it...," Caden said, scratching his head.

"Because you don't understand, bro. We are talking about my brother here, if he is another person and not related to me, I will take Jessy back without hesitation, but as you can see I betrayed my brother twice already, I can no longer add to his injuries," he explained.

"Okay... got it! I'll rest my case, bro!" Caden said. He looked back at the two ladies, they were no longer in the same spot. "Where did they go?"

"Huh?"

"The ladies, I like the girl wearing the cargo pants with a poker face, she looks exciting and yummy," Caden said.

"They were probably on the ground floor by now, let's go!" Gavin said.

"Okay, if we see them, can we invite them over a cup of coffee, please?" Caden said.

"No problem, let's hurry up," Gavin said.

The elevator landed on the ground floor, they saw the two ladies sitting on the sofa in the lobby.

Caden smiled brightly feeling excited, he approached them. "Hello pretty girls, can I invite you to a cup of coffee over there," he pointed at the coffee shop across the building.

The ladies smiled.

"Sorry, our boyfriends are coming over to fetch us, we're going on a double date," the girl with the poker face replied.

"Here they come!" said the other girl.

Caden looked over at the entrance of the building and saw two men about to enter the door, they were smiling and walking towards the ladies. Ouch! He waved at the girls goodbye and went back to Gavin's side.

"So-?"

"They're taken," Caden grinned.

"Some other time, then...," Gavin chuckled.

They exited the building to find any car racing circuit nearby.
