17 C17: Power of the Dragonstone

Dragonstone.

A jewel that was carved by bonding a dragon's soul and melting it with the heat of a volcano. It was an uncanny ritual that not many could perform. It carries unspeakable power that can only be used by the most powerful beings on Arion.

From the strength and soul of the great Dragon King Kaylor, three of these stones were created.

One was used in the battle to acclaim half of Raylor.

The second, to defeat the Titan Helgor.

And the third, here we were… using it at the battle at Mount Darkness in the attempt to defeat the world's strongest warriors.

The swirl of dark mist rose into the skies, pushing away all the members of the Divine Five.

"Shield!" Lucy held out her staff, casting a force field large enough to hold back the wind pressure from throwing any of her teammates off the cliff.

"So this is the Dragon Queen's true form?" Lucas grinned, gripping the sword tightly. He felt ecstatic upon seeing this magnificent sight. 'I can show the world that I can become the world's best player now,' he thought, closing his eyes and taking in a deep breath.

'Abysmal blaze.'

Lucas's sword lit up with dark fire. His eyes turned to pure darkness.

"Lucy, Tara, Yoku, and Bloodberry. Let me tame this beast," he muttered, stepping forward and striking Lucy's force shield with the sword. He slowly sliced the force shield and stepped out of it.

"You idiot!" Lucy cried out, but Tara raised her hand and gestured her to stop.

"Don't say anything to him," Tara said, narrowing her eyes. "If he's the world's best player, let's see how he handles this."

Bloodberry and Yoku stayed on the back, with Bloodberry's crimson sword ready to slash anything if the force field is to break. Yoku simply stood there with a sharp gaze in his eyes as the purple snake slithered around his hand.

None of the other four members were as impatient as Lucas was.

The Dark Knight slowly stepped forward through the swirling winds which thrust against him, swaying his blond hair. However, even that wind pressure was not able to push him back or make him lose balance.

"Hm, is this all you've got?" Lucas gazed at the swirling mist with an unimpressed look.

Suddenly, a clawed arm appeared out of the mist followed by another. The swirl of dark mist slowly dispersed as all 4 arms of the dragon appeared.

Finally, the Nightmare had taken form.

Before Lucas, on the other side of the gorge stood a 25 feet tall dragon with four arms and two legs which it stood on. It was an enormous black dragon with sharp scales that looked as if they'll cut anything that graces them and four curvy horns emerging from his head. With a lengthy neck and blazing red eyes, the dragon's enormous height was truly fierce even at first sight.

Newbie players would run away the first moment they would lay eyes on this beast, but Lucas was the world's greatest now.

"Haha! That's it… Dragon Queen. Come and fight me! Let me prove myself," Lucas cried out, lifting his blade. "Come!"

"You almost killed my son, just now." A hoarse and dark voice echoed around Lucas with the tone of a lady. It was certainly Melissa's voice.

"You will pay for that."

Lucas smirked. "Yeah, just like that. Come at me," he said, rushing towards the dragon.

Suddenly, the dark mist behind Nightmare grew, making ten or twenty bodies of misty dragons shoot towards the Dark Knight.

Chop! One of those mist dragons tried to bite the Dark Knight, but Lucas was fast with his moves.

He kicked the misty dragon's face and used the force to spin back into the mountain and back away from the heads that came towards him.

ARGHHH!

Nightmare roared as heads of dragons emerged from the mist evolving from its body.

Lucy removed the shield and backed away to get into her position, which is the back. A healer should never fight on the front lines. Meanwhile, Bloodberry and the Shadow assassin charged head-first into the monstrous dragon to back up Lucas.

Standing in the middle was Yoku, who raised his hand and calmly closed his eyes.

"Emerge, Kraken."

Suddenly, green portals appeared around him and enormous tendrils of an octopus appeared out of them, slapping away the dragons that shot towards the Divine Five.

However, the tendrils were outnumbered by the dragon heads that came to chomp on the warriors.

"I got the dragons!" yelled Bloodberry, dashing towards the dragon heads and dragging his crimson blade through the necks of every one of them, ducking under them as their jaws tried to snap him in two.

The shadow assassin kept throwing all of her shadow blades at the dragon heads, summoning them one by one in mere seconds.

Nightmare gazed around at the battlefield.

All of the warriors were attacking the nightmare minions she kept summoning using her mana. They already had a plan, it seemed. If she were exhausted after using much of her nightmare minions, it would be an easy task to take her down together.

However, she had a counter for this too.

"Hm, where are these two… they can't even come early even at this dire moment?" Melissa's voice echoed around the Nightmare.

That roar she gave out before was not without purpose. Rather, it was a call. A signal for the Twins to enter the battlefield.

Suddenly, two figures shot across the sky and landed in the middle of the Divine Five.

They were two girls, short-haired, crimson-eyed, and wearing the same black leather tight-fit suits. They were Selena and Solar.

"Go! Show me your worth, Sel. Show me you're my daughter, Sol," Melissa's voice echoed through the battlefield.

Sel and Sol shook their heads in disappointment, twirling their spears between their fingertips.

"Why would you even think that we came here to prove anything to you?" asked Solar.

"We just came here to protect our family from going extinct," ended Selena.

The Mother sighed. "Whatever it is, don't suck at it."

They smirked as they gazed around, seeing that they were surrounded by all five members of the Divine Five.

"Let's go, Sel."

"Let's go, Sol."

Selena and Solar sped across the rocky surface at an immense speed towards the members of the Divine Five.

"You are mine!"
