Prologue

Kyoh Myung-Dae laid down in his den as he began thinking about history. 'Dragons, us creatures of draconic origin were of usual threat to humans, they would pillage their treasuries, kidnap their cattle, and all sorts of other things.' He thought.

'One day, humans grew tired of this routine, so the king of a certain nation nearby decided to hire the nation's best smiths to create a series of swords capable of defeating dragons with ease.' He continued as he adjusted his position slightly.

'They began hunting every dragon they found, no matter how young, no matter their real sins. They thought every dragon was the same, however, there was a small group of us dragons that decided pillaging humans was a poor decision, they are intelligent creatures, after all.' He thought with a sigh.

'I've tried telling them this, of course, but they are so blinded by their own hubris, that they deny anything, no matter how much evidence there is, saying that there are some peaceful dragons. Well, I suppose that would be an over-generalization, there are a few humans who understand that there are a few dragons that never attacked villages, but instead helped them, but they are a small number of humans in a vast sea of them.' He continued.

'I belong to the dragons who believed humans deserved to be considered creatures of intelligence and that we shouldn't attack them. And now, I am the last of all dragons. As far as I am aware, anyway.' He thought as the sound of a marching army could be heard outside of his den.

He stood up. 'I suppose my time is coming near. Even if I am the most (only) powerful dragon, even I would die at some point...' He thought as he walked to exit his empty den. Upon exiting, he saw a large army of hired arms, non of them bearing the kingdom's crest or flag.

"What is the meaning of this, humans?" He asked despite already knowing the answer. In response the humans began yelling and blaming, saying that the dragons should die for everything they have done. He laid down where he was. "You humans. Do you not understand? I have yet to attack despite you driving me into solitude. Despite your previous attempts, I have not killed any of your armies. Why do you continue to attack?" He asked.

"Fuck you!" A voice yelled. Kyoh Myung-Dae sighed.

"I am tired of this loneliness, if you wish to kill me, do so now and get it over with. Just know, your historians will look back to this and despise their ancestors for killing off the dragons who wanted peace." He said as he lowered his head onto the ground.

The army moved forward cautiously. After a few seconds, a general yelled an order and they began to charge. Kyoh Myung-Dae closed his eyes. 'Mistress of the sea, Lord of the sky, golem of the earth, and spirit of the flames, may you have mercy on the humans and forgive their transgressions.' He thought as several hundred swords pierced his body.
