1 The Last Boss

In a world far removed from our own there exists a world where martial power rules all. It is a world where the weak either submit or die and where powerful do as they please. Yet even in such a chaotic world ruled by fists, blood and iron rules still exist. The ones who enforce these rules are the twelve great powers.

These twelve behemoths stand at the peak of this bloody world and decide its fate, but even these twelve are not all equal. The true rulers, number only four The heavenly Pavilion, The Grand Villa, The Soul Tower and The Abyss. What makes these four so outstanding is that each of these is that each of these grand powers is backed by a peak stage Grand Sage practitioner as the others each only has ninth stage Grand Sages backing them, this one stage difference might not seem huge but it makes a world of difference in this last mortal Realm.

Now one might ask why knowing such a thing is of importance but it is, for an unfortunate soul somehow transmigrated into the body of one of these four powerhouses the Ancestor of the Soul Tower. As if such a thing was not strange in of itself the transmigrated soul actually fused with the soul of the Ancestor instead of being destroyed or devoured by the Ancestor very own soul. Such an unbelievable event led to another, even more unbelievable event.

As the souls of the two fused they resonated with one another to such an extend that the resonance shattered one of the barriers on the Ancestors cultivation and promoted it from the peak stage of the Grand Sage Realm to the half step Divine Realm. Making the now changed Ancestor by far the strongest cultivator in the entire Martial World.

After almost completely breaking his mortal shackles, and partly ascending into the Divine Realm the ancestor awoke withe a confusing look in his eyes. It did not take long before his confused mind gained clarity as his memories came back to him. He was Leylin the all powerful ancestor of the prestiqes Soul Tower, but he was also an overworked wage slave. These two contradictory memories where bout his, he was the poor overwork and underapricheted corporate slave and the great and powerful cultivator Laylin. Both of them were him and he was them, but since he was currently inhabiting the body of Leylin he was going to go by this body's identity.

As the matter of his identity was settled, he could not help but recall a certain novel of the other world. The novel depicted the stellar rise of a young man from a weak trash to a god. In the novel the final villain being the old monster of the Soul Tower Laylin.

It didn't take Leylin long to figure out that he and the last boss of the novel were one and the same.

So Laylin was put into a dilemma of what further action he should take. Killing the protagonist Yu Chi would be a simple matter, no amount of fate or good luck could stop a half step Divine Realm from killing anybody in this mortal world. The only reason Yu Chi even came that far in the novel was because the Soul Tower constantly underestimated him and Laylin himself only appeared as Yu Chi had become a peak Grand Sage himself and was already destroying the Soul Tower.

Even then Laylin would not have lost to Yu Chi, but the latter decided that the middle of their battel was the perfect time to break through to the half step Divine Realm after that Laylin simply couldn't do anything after that point and was tortured and ridiculed by Yu Chi only being freed from his misery as Yu Chi burned him and the Soul Tower until not even ash was left. The unfortunate Laylin had until that point never met or heard of Yu Chi as he had spent all his time in closed door cultivation, not knowing that his little brother's grand ambition had led to such a tragic end for him and the entirety of the Soul Tower.

But now that he had absorbed all the memories of his other self he knew everything that he needed to avoid his fate. With his mind made up the first order of business was to find out when in the novel he was and after that he could formulate his revenge on Yu Chi. There was no way he was just going to kill that irredeemable playboy, death was a too lenient punishment he was going to completely brake Yu Chi. As for his scheming younger brother and clan members, he was not going to be too harsh on them since none of them knew that they had made the protagonist of the World into there Enemy.
