2 Threstals

"Chocolate frog anyone?" I asked.

"Up here." Sean replied from the top bunk.

I tossed the packet up and asked,

" How long do you think you can last?"

"For a life time." He replied as he caught the packet and vanished back into his bunk.

"He wants to be born as a rock in his next life." Reyan joked.

"True." I added. " He slept for three days in a row. Keep those Silvers ready Ethan."

"Can't believe I lost to a Slytherin though." Ethan spoke up, after a total of 4 hours.

"Who spoke up?" James said sitting up in a start.

"The ice man." Mark answered, half asleep at his bunk.

"Were you talking about me?" James said peeping out from his bunk.

The Ravenclaw boys looked at each other and passed a chuckle.

"Well, I bet I wouldn't loose a bet to you." Ethan shrugged.

"You once bet James would end up in Hufflepuff. " Rey snickered.

"Hey! I am a pure blood Slytherin." James argued.

"So am I.  But look where I landed." I smiled.

"You really wanted to end up with me." Mark blurted half asleep, from the bunk above my head.

"As if." I said ,rolling my eyes as the others shared a laugh.

"But your mom is a Gryffindor,  right?" Rey asked.

"Yes. But she is a Pure blood too." I said, rolling my eyes. " A Pure Blood Gryffindor and a Pure Blood Slytherin, get together and you have me!"

"Well you still landed with a muggle." Jungkook spoke, getting up this time.

"Well atleast you are not my boyfriend." I smirked, " Wouldn't want an earful from Dad."

"That's why you are not my girl." Mark shrugged.

"Well I am better than your girl."

"As if."

"We will see who cries the most when I leave."I smirked.

"What do you mean?! You are leaving?"

Ethan yelled , slamming shut his book and taking us by surprise.

"Woah! Woah! My heart literally skipped a beat!" Rey said patting his chest.

"Because of the news?" James asked.

"No. Because of Ethan." Rey replied.

"Well he scared the life out of me too!"

I laughed, " I was just kidding."

"Oh!" Ethan sighed.

"SNAKE!" Came a loud shreik from one of the bunks,catching us off guard.

"HOBI!" Victor yelled and gave a kick to the bunk above him.

An extremely freaked out Hufflepuff teen peered down at the others.

"I thought....I.. "

"Saw a Snake?" Sean asked.

"Yes..." Hobi replied, embarrassed.

"Well let the other Hufflepuff kid truly rest in peace." Reyan said.

"Hey!" V said out, more agitated.

"Just joking." Rey said , laughing at his own joke.

"What insulted you?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"He called me a kid! I am Thirteen!" V replied.

To this we burst out in fits of laughter.

"I thought you were upset at me declaring you dead!" Rey cried.

"And you are still a kid V ." I chuckled.

"No I am not!" V huffed.

"You are 12 till your birthday this year. Thats literally new years eve." Ethan explained.

"Oh! Okay." V mumbled and went back to his beauty sleep.

"I feel like you guys really want me dead." Rey said , still laughing his heart out." I could have died twice today!"

"And still ... here we are!" I joked.

The laughter filled the air yet again, as the train railed through lush green fields at the break of dawn.

The sky blushed pink as the sun made its way up. In a blink of eye we were at Hogsmede Station.

"Hurry!" I yelled , as I was waiting for the boys outside the room.

The other student nudged my shoulders to an extent that I feel them going numb now. My feet were numb already due to the chilling wind and the unreasonable stampede. I still don't get the hurry. The train never leaves the station anyway.

"All done." Sean said  opening up the door. He shook his bag of silvers and smirked at me .

I flung my arm around his neck and said, "So... what are you getting me?"

"Why should I get you anything?"

"You owe me." I smiled and nudged him  at his stiff belly.

"It was just regular diarrhea." Sean rolled his eyes.

"And I knew the perfect medicine." I said proudly.

"Fine." Sean gave in." I am going to Madam Pomfrey next time."

"No one stopped you!" I said and pat his  back.

We hopped on an empty carriage. The others took quite a while to catch up with us.

"What took you so long?" I asked, suspicious at their behavior.

"Nothing." Rey replied and cleared his throat.

"Spill!"

"Its nothing!" Rey repeated.

I took out my wand and asked again ,

"What's it?"

The boys looked at each other doubtfully.

"Well?" I asked.

"Its seems there is to be a thunderstorm today." James replied." We may have to miss the feast."

I looked up at the sky. He was right. It wasn't just blistering cold tonight, it showed every sign of a thunderstorm.

I sighed and looked at Ethan ," We know where to be today."

The others nodded.

"Don't worry. We will get you some snacks." Rey said and patted Ethan's back.

"I am gonna get your food if you tell me the number of threstrals pulling the cart." Mark said, crossing his arms.

I laughed at his silly request and turned around. There were four Threstrals today.

"Four." I said.

"Is it true?" Jungkook asked , turning towards Sean.

Sean nodded .

"You have earned yourself a dinner , mademoiselle!" Mark said , gesturing a bow.

"Thank you senor!" I bowed back.

"Well who did you see dead ?" Rey asked , taken back by this.

"You weren't there in our last ride, were you?" Sean asked.

"Ofcourse I wasn't here. We ran out of space when a senior invaded." Reyan huffed.

"Well , if it's news to you,  I lost my housekeeper in our first year." Sean explained.

"Were you close?" Rey asked.

"No." Sean shrugged, " She just died in front of me."

"How did she die?"

"Old age."

"How old was she?"

"A 90." Sean replied as cold as he possibly can.

"Oh okay." Rey nodded and turned to me, " What about you?"

"I didn't see anyone die actually." I shrugged.

"What?" Rey said taken aback. He looked around at the others to see if this was true.

The others gave a shrug and made it clear.

"But it's impossible." Reyan said , shocked still.

"Well I think Snake deaths should be counted for you ." Hobi spoke up.

"Why?" I asked crouching my eyebrows .

" You are a Parseltongue, right?"

"Yeah, so?"

"Well you saw a senior kill the snake you were talking to last year. So you have seen death." Hobi said.

"Hobi. It's counted only if it's human death, not snake." I laughed it off.

"But you are a Parseltongue!"

"It has no relation with being a Parseltongue!"

"Really?"

"Really. " I smiled and patted Hobi's back.

"Well, then you won't be a Snake when you transform?" V asked with puppy eyes.

"No." I replied and smiled.

"Aw. You made me loose 10 silvers!" V huffed.

To this we went into fits of laughter, till a huge sound broke our ears!

Heavy downpour had begun.

"We have to hurry." I said to Sean." We don't have time."

"We have the whole night , right?" Ethan asked.

"But then again there is Flich!" I replied," We were caught once. Never again!"

Hogwarts Castle was in sight now.

We were just few moments away till we  had four animagus among us.
