1 Chapter 1 : The Grim
"RUN!" She yelled.
Not a second put to waste , five of them ran till their feet turned numb.
Two stayed behind. They didn't care what could happen. As long as she is there, they won't ever leave her alone.

The heart of the Forbidden Forest.

The sound of the hustling trees and and the damp air which surrounded, made everything seem more eerie.
The clock might have just ticked to 12.
Midnight.
With shadow steps , five boys were hurtled in a tight pack.
Their wands out.
Any sound now would be from someone other than them . All the charms worth of five years kept running in their mind.
No defense. That's what they told themselves.
Their leader wasn't with them. Ethan took her place.
Their lit wands kept searching for her pet. Her hippogriff ,Moon.
It would be easy to look out for a silver haired hippogriff in the pitch black of a forest. The hard part was to tame the hippogriff without his real owner in sight.
But they had no choice.
A twig broke, a few hundred meters from them.
Asher let out a squeak.
Sean held his arm, " Its okay."
The silence returned while Ash sighed in relief.
As the group advanced, towards their destination, a loud swoop was heard.
Hardly any distance from them, merged in the darkness the forest offered, was a dementor.
No time wasted, Ethan and Rey h
eld out their wands.
"Expecto Petronum!" They yelled together.
Ethan's owl petronus swooped away the dementor. But it wasn't just one.
Reyan's weak petronus, shielded them from a surprise attack from another dementor.
The others immediately ran through their happy thoughts.
"EXPECTO PETRONUM!" The boys yelled out loud and clear.
Sean's Cat Petronus jet speeded out at the dementors. The others joined Rey to form a weak shield.
Ethan's owl didn't last long. He conjured again , so did Sean.
The other's shield kept breaking and they kept repeating the spell.
"The happiest memory! Quick thinking!!" Ethan pleaded as he let out another owl patronus , slightly bigger than the last one.
"Ethan!You have to transform!" Reyan called out.
"I won't!" Ethan argued.
"They won't come for you if you transform." Asher came in." She needs more time to get here."
Ethan knew that.
But he was a man of his principles.
"I am not leaving you here!" He yelled out and performed another Patronus, a stronger one than before.
All of a sudden.
"MOON!" Rey cried as his heart lept on seeing the beautiful hippogriff coming there way.
The hippogriff screeched .
"We don't have time for this!" Sean called out, conjuring another cat.
Before anyone could counter
Sean's words , V was already in front of the hippogriff.
Keeping his shield intact, he bowed and waited patiently for the hippogriff.
The hippogriff bowed back almost immediately and hopped up to V.
As V tried petting Moon , Ethan called out," We don't have time V!"
On hearing this , V opened the string around Moon's neck using the counter-charm which was taught by their leader.
The invisible locket dropped into his palm.
As the colors of the locket were about to return, V held it out to Ethan.
"Ethan ca- " before he could finish his sentence-
"V!" Asher cried.
A part of the shield was down. V had collapsed .
A dementor swooped over to its prey.
Ash tried to make a stronger shield but, his broke too.
Succumbed to the horrors shown by the dementor Hobi went down on his feet, and begged for mercy.
Reyan had no way to cover up for the other shields , he was lifted up in the air.
"NO!" Ethan cried and let out another owl at the dementor.
Rey dropped from mid air,unconscious.
Sean's patronus couldn't last any longer. He fell in to the arms of a dementor as soon as he turned towards Asher.
Ethan stood there. Watching the last of his patronus. With no shield above him, he went down on his knees,
with two dementors feeding on his memories.
As tears made its way down his cheeks, he thought of the happiest memory he could find.
Her smile.
"Expecto Petronum!"He cried for the last time.
A beautiful owl swooped away the dementors around them.
While the four boys lay unconscious, Ethan crawled up to V. He took the locket and held it in his firm grip.
His eyes were towards the road that led them here.
"She will come..." he whispered to himself , as his owl lost to the swarming ,black hooded dementors.
The dementors swarmed over the boys.
The swooped in circles, snatching away all their happiness. Feeding them with nightmares of their own past , they wanted more and more to devour.
As Ethan was loosing his grip from reality to the world of his horrors , through the slits of his eyes he saw his hope.
A life sized Grim patronus stood in front of him. The strongest patronus one would have ever seen. The Grim howled.
The soundless howl was strong enough to end what was left of the hooded dementors.
He smiled.
"She is here."
