4 Rising From the Depths

The tyrant knew that he was disadvantaged underwater. This was obvious as the monarch could breathe while he was not. Down here, he would only last as long as his breathe can hold.

Thinking decisively, the tyrant immediately circled to Pluto's back, and pounced with overflowing ruthlessness to his head, hoping to shred open his neck and tear out his innards. It was impossible to remove the monarchs head with a single blow, and the tyrant hoped to end his quickly.

Naturally, Pluto was not as fast as the tyrant due to their physiques, and could not completely follow his movements, but he was certainly not slow. Pluto reacted swiftly and blocked his neck with a paw as big as the tyrant himself, then immediately struck back by sweeping his mighty tail behind him.

The tyrant could not reach his neck, only leaving a large gash on the paw with his claws before leaping up to avoid the blade of the monarch. He did not jump back, as his victories were only won with decisive, swift, and ruthless offense.

The tyrant quickly opened his wings to glide over Pluto's head to his front. Before diving toward his eyes, with the intention to gouge them out.

Pluto was surprised at the tyrants course of action, as he was used to a swift opponent's hit-and-run tactics, but he was not perturbed.

As a strength and defense specialized beast, he was used to defensive battles, and reacted quickly. He flared the flames on his body, before flapping his mighty eagle wings as he stepped back. This covered his body with fire and blew he blazing heat toward the fast approaching tyrant.

The tyrant dared not take the flames directly, but would not dare present any opportunities. This is because it took an element of surprise to get this close, this would make it difficult to approach once more once he retreated. He also had not a second to waste as his breathe was slowly but gradually running short.

The tyrant folded his wings and spun rapidly through the air like a drill as his path stayed course to the monarch. The rotation forced the flames to wrap itself around the tyrant, but could not intrude any further. The tyrant unavoidably reached the monarch and unfurled his wings with violent ferocity in front of the monarch's face, dispersing the surrounding flames and raking the talons on his leathery wings horizontally through his eyes.

The monarch had thought that the flames would certainly deter the tyrant, as he believed no living being could take the flames directly and remain without receiving grievous wounds. Unexpectedly the tyrant had fiercely charged through the flames before sweeping razor sharp talons across his eyes.

"GHRAAAAHRAAAR?!!!!" The monarch roared deafeningly, causing the surrounding oceans to pulse and every lesser being to die instantly with their bodies caved in. Though the sound itself was not high, the power behind it directly crushed the surroundings with its impact alone. This cleared the surround battlefield of stone and vegetation, leaving the monarchs den and the area surrounding it to be left bare.

Though it could not kill not harm him, the monarch was forced back by the titanic, sonic blow, and lost the chance to end the fight quickly. He quickly decided to attempt to force the monarch above the sea. As the monarch was now blinded, it was easier to pull a feints. The tyrant roared and pounced threateningly at Pluto's feet quickly tearing strips of fur and meat off like a paper shredder.

After being blinded, Pluto dared not wish to allow the tyrant to close the distance once more. As he felt his feat being shredded, his instincts reacted instantly to lift his feet, spread his wings and propel himself up. The tyrant continued to nip at his feet, legs, tail, and lower body, while the monarch did not wish to scuffle closely with the tyrant before his eyes recovered, as there was little to no way to follow the tyrants speed otherwise. Thus, Pluto was left with no choice but to continue to rise, before eventually surfacing.

Upon reaching the surface, his mountainous stature rose like an islands birth, before crawling upon land, as his weight did not exactly make it easy to stay afloat comfortably.

The tyrant was now on the terrain he was most comfortable in, and could move freely through the air now, as opposed to underwater. He rapidly followed the monarch's heels, and took flight toward the monarchs head again. He was determined to end this here.
