12 Who are you?

The person behind me cleared his throat reminding me that I wasn't alone. "Uhmm thank you" he mumbled. I glanced back and nodded acknowledging his thanks. "Are you okay? 5 vs 1 is pretty rough, even for a swordsman with your energy." I asked. He didn't respond but just looked down obscuring his face. I squinted my eyes and stalked over to him. As he noticed my presence he reached for his sword again. "Calm down I'm just trying to help" I whispered in a light tone. He still kept his hand on the hilt of his sword but made no move to pull it out. I smiled pleasantly and carefully laid my hand on his head. I could feel him slightly flinch but immediately relaxed because I blocked his pain receptors using energy manifestation.

"what did you do?" He asked, surprised. "I just blocked your pain receptors, it's quite obvious you were injured." I answered calmly. Then I took a step back, "the pain may be gone but the injuries will still need to be treated." He nodded and turned away from me. Who is he? He seems to be a little older than me and all I could see was that he had platinum hair like myself. I was still a little surprised with the situation I got in. I turned around and sat down on the floor going over what just happened. I usually try to avoid conflict, but when something unfair happened I can't just stand back and watch. So when I saw them surrounding the guy I couldn't help but step in. Sighing, I stood up and turned around about to ask the mysterious guy why he was attacked. To my surprise he wasn't there. I then looked down and saw his black cloak fleeing into an alleyway. At a loss of words I didn't know what to do. "Well he already left, there's no point in interfering if he doesn't want the help." I told myself still confused.

Then I felt someone tap my shoulder, startled I jumped back and turned around. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." a women about in her mid 30s stood a few feet away from me. "Who are you?" I asked suspicious "Let's talk over something to eat, It's about lunch time." She responded. "I'm fine, I should start heading home" I declined politely. I started to turn around to walk away. "Wait!" She yelled, stopping me in my tracks. "I'm the Archmage Valentina Pacillo, I saw what the scuffle that happened. I want to talk to you about something." Once again I was left speechless, I'm meeting the legendary Archmage Pacillo! Noticing my revelation the archmage smiled, "here, follow me I know a place with good food." I nodded and levitated down to the street and started to follow her. After walking on the sidewalk for awhile we finally stopped in front of the small café. Then we both sat down at a table outside and both order a drink and a sandwich. As i was getting settled, the waiter came and brought our stuff. "Wow that was quick, thank you." I thanked the waiter.

After taking a sip of my iced mocha I looked over at the archmage ready to hear what she wanted to say.
