6 Examination pt.4

I went to the door on the far side of the room and entered it. The next room was just a bigger replication of the first room but with the exception of the monitor. This is the trial where professor Banyan said it'll be a situation I had to solve before it goes wrong. So it's just like the past trial but this time I would actually experience the problem and solve with my own powers instead of finding a theoretical solution.

"There's not much I can tell you about this test except that it's not life threatning, so don't be frightened. The goal is to get rid of the threat without being subdued by it. To get rid of it you can use your magic and logical thinking abilities, and yes this threat can be taken care of without magic. Lastly the point of not telling you the threat is to see your knowledge and how you react in pressure and suprise situations." she finished flashing me a serious look. "are you ready?"

Feeling a little astonished, it took me a few seconds to ready myself for all types of threats. After I figured that I wouldn't be anymore prepared then now I decide to just give it my best shot. I looked over at Professor Banyan and nodded. "okay the trial will start in 5, 4, 3, 2 ,1, begin." A blue gas started to fill the room slowly. Oh no, colored gases are a bad sign. Colored gases are usually harmful with a few exceptions. The only way to tell these gases apart are the tint. this isn't the most common information so I could see people struggling in this situation, but I've been preparing for this test since I showed the exceptional potentional at a young age. So I already knew the gas was a sleeping gas but a very weak one. I could tell because a blue gas was the textboook sign of drowsy gas and it was only a light blue so I have plenty of time to deal with this.

A grin stretched on my face, I didn't really need the time though. that's because I also learned how to get rid of this gas. I just need energy to evaporate the sleep tint. The weakness of colored gas is that the substance that effects humans isn't the gas but the tint put into the gas and tints can be destroyed easily if you use the right magic type. So by using an energy category magic I could wipe out the tint. Using electricity could work but my control isn't as good, So fire is my best bet. Okay I got this.

I took a deep breath, focusing on gathering the magic energy from inside me. The energy I gathered was a substanial amount, suprising me. Whatever, lets focus on the tak and hand. Once The magic energy was gathered I projected it through my hand in the form of a blazing fire. The fire launched through the air, tearing through the gas. A few moments pass and finally the tint was evaporated and gone.

"interesting" Professor banyan mumbled. I looked over at her, but she imediantly looked down to write something into her tablet. "nice job thinking of a solution, time to move onto the next trial." She said signalling me onto the next room.
