The lake myth

Juri Takahashi, a 13 y/o girl who’s orphanage burned down. The government thought of the poor as weak so they never tried helping the homeless people. Juri and her friend, Cecilia worked hard to earn enough money for food and a scrawny apartment. Juri thought of Cecilia as her big sister since she was 5 years younger. - - Cecilia would always come home late with torn clothes and bruises everywhere. Juri had always tried to stop her, but Cecilia would always say “I am doing this for our sake. Do not worry about me” with a saddened smile. Juri would always take a walk to the ‘poor people’s library’ around noon and study, since school was too expensive. After being there for hours she then got kicked out of the library. That would be her cue to leave. Juri Takahashi arrived at home and went straight for bed. Just when she was about to close her eyes, she then found herself being strangled to death my a robber. “Finally... free from this cruel world” she thought. What she thought was the end was only the beginning of an adventurer inside a fantasy world. **** First novel! English is not my first language so It might be hard to understand sometimes. I got inspiration from other great novels and authors and decided that I should make my own!
