That coldness of politics reflects the atmosphere of the story. Neve Rosentine is an already interesting character and the world around her feels real and exciting. Certainly a story that I want to dive further into when I have the change. With the great writing style that sets up the atmosphere just right, great flow in dialogue, I as a writer can certainly learn techniques from this.
