16 Chapter 16: You are Quite Shameless

During the 50 minute car ride back, Miyeon endlessly regretted her offer to have dinner with Lu Minzhe. The man on the other hand, was happily grinning at the driver's seat while weaving his way through traffic. 'If I had known I'd have a guest so soon, I would've cleaned up the apartment a little. It's too late at this point though.' Miyeon thought uselessly.

Miyeon intended to pass the car ride in silence but Lu Minzhe apparently had something else in mind. "Are you normally this quiet?" he asked.

"Ah? I guess?" Miyeon replied.

"Hm. Since this is a fairly long car ride, I thought I would be a good time to get to know each other better." (Lu Minzhe)

"..." (Miyeon)

"Or is it that you don't want to get to know me better?" (Lu Minzhe)

"How could that be? It would be a pleasure to learn more about Mr Lu." said Miyeon through slightly gritted teeth.

"Is that so? Hm, your expression seems to say otherwise." He casually prodded.

"..." (Miyeon)

"It's a 50 minute car ride." (Lu Minzhe)

"Alright...alright. Are you normally this talkative?" (Miyeon)

"Only around you. Why? It doesn't fit with the CEO image? (Lu Minzhe)

"Yes. Well it's not that per say. (Miyeon)

"Oh? What is it then?" Lu Minzhe continued to prod with a small smile on his face.

"..." 'If I say what I am truly thinking, he's gonna get mad.' Miyeon kept silent.

"Is it something you can't say? Is my image that bad in your heart?" Lu Minzhe teased.

"Well, if I have to describe you in a word.." 'Screw it. If he gets mad then that gets me out of dinner at least.' Miyeon decided.

"Yes?" (Lu Minzhe)

"Is contrary to what is portrayed in public, you are quite shameless." Miyeon finally confessed. She had an impassive look on her face but in all actuality she was quite anxious inside. No matter how silly Lu Minzhe appeared to her, he was still the CEO of Lu Co., the largest conglomerate in C Country. However she was annoyed, since that man kept on trying to intrude into her life. 'Is it wrong to want to decide one's own friends? But he keeps inserting himself and he even wants me to call him 'gege'. If that isn't shameless then i don't know what is.' Miyeon mused her brows scrunching unintentionally. However, unexpectedly after a few moments of silence she heard a loud booming laugh.

"HA HAHA HAHAHA" Lu Minzhe laughed for a good 2 minutes until tears came out.

"..." It was at this moment Miyeon decided that there was something seriously wrong with this person. It was a conjecture before but she is certain now; she was willing to bet her DipFA on it.

Finally after Lu Minzhe quieted down. Miyeon looked at him with a poker face and asked. "Are you all right?"

"Yes. I am all right. In fact I feel great." He turned to look into Miyeon's startled eyes.

"You feel great... to be called shameless?"

"I was called that before you see. It was quite memorable for me then as well. You reminded me of that time." 'Back then you were just a child but you had called me shameless at my face too.' Lu Minzhe thought fondly.

"Ah, I see." 'No, I don't see. I have no idea what he is talking about. So I'll just keep my mouth shut to end the conversation.' Miyeon decided.

But of course, Miyeon's thoughts were in vain since Lu Minzhe kept dragging her into conversation during the entire ride back to her apartment.
