A New World

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto... Should I continue doing this? Ehh, I'll do it one to two more times.

Aoi was currently contemplating where it all went wrong. She was the actress with a lot of popularity to her name, and most importantly the loving daughter of a similarly loving mother and brother. She made it through high school and college, and just managed to get her dream job. She was truly living, not just doing the same mundane things every single day. And yet somehow, somehow, she's a baby again. A baby of all things. Furthermore, it was a baby with a full package, loving parents, beauty, and intelligence. Not that she didn't like those things, she did, but she would rather have her old parents back. Have her brother back. Hence why she started hating herself when she started to love her new parents too.

Aoi's time as a baby can be considered the worst nightmare for any modern century young adult, no wifi, no phone, and no money. She couldn't even move her body very well and was restricted to just moving her forearm and fingers. The only saving grace that she had were her kaa-san and otou-san. They kept her entertained with stupid shenanigans, they played games with her, they tickled, cuddled, and they just made her entire existence something it hadn't been in a long time; fun. In her old life, her entire childhood had been contaminated with a solemn tone to it. It wasn't until her baby brother came along that it started to have some life to it. Her mother simply hadn't known what to do with her first child and feared wrath from the 'traditional villain' as she had dubbed him in her early years. Father was the same as mother, not having an idea in the world how to act when a baby came around. They gradually learned through experience although they only really got it around the time her brother was born.

Hence why, when Aoi was exposed to maternal love she thrived on it. She tried to make excuses day after day but eventually, she came to terms with it. She came to terms with the fact that she loved them. But while Aoi loved them, she started to grow suspicious. They walked as if they were the incarnations of cat gods, with their feet sliding across the ground with no noise at all. The palms of their hands were heavy with the weight of calluses and weapon scars. If it was just that she could excuse it as them being special agents or something, but they had this energy constantly surrounding them. If Aoi had to put a name to it, it would be nature itself. Calm yet overbearing, serene yet turbulent. The utter sheer power of the aura was somewhat exhilarating. She had never felt anything quite like it.

But when she finally got her answer, she didn't expect it. Not at all.

"Kaa-san, how walk quietly?"

Although she was six months old now, she could hardly make an intelligible word fly out of her mouth with her horrible lisp. It wasn't fun for the mentally 22-year-old to revert to a baby again and have her every action dependant on her parents. Food? Need parents. Milk? Need parents. Answering her natural calling? Well, she didn't need her parents for that. She did need them to clean up the after effects though. She nearly went insane from having little to no control over her bladder. However, the thing that upset her the most was her new body. She had no control over it at first at all. She couldn't even move her fingers! How pathetic is that? The genius martial artist who beat the most renowned bodybuilders and martial artists with the strength of elephant yet with the grace of a swan. Now she was just a duck drowning in water. Better yet, a squawking duck that couldn't even do the most simple of sentences yet. Well, her mother had a physic connection with her beloved daughter so it didn't really matter.

"Sweet pea, I'm what people call a ninja. As for my feet not making any sound, It's one of the basic skills that we have to master as a ninja until it becomes second nature."

'Ninja..? As in, that ninja??! No, that can't be..'

"Ninjwa?"

"Not Ninjwa, Nin-ja! Ninja are people that protect all of the Land of the Sky. We make sure that people like Aoi-chan live wonderful lives."

'It can't be.. right? That world, Naruto.. it's fictional.. right? Right?! Yeah, yeah I'm just dreaming there's no way that kaa-san's a nin-'

"See Aoi-chan, this is my forehead protector!"

Aoi's mother slowly pulled a piece of cloth with a rectangle of metal on it, and plopped it in front of Aoi's face. The metal reflected the brilliant gleam of the morning sun making it so deceptively beautiful. In truth, it could be seen as a symbol of all of humanities sins. Murder, theft, torture, etc. Despite how the show Naruto portrayed that world, it was a world where children were trained to be killers. A world in a state of perpetual military dictatorship. A world... that has set murder and war as the status quo.

"Aoi? Aoi! You've got to talk to me! Don't go to sleep, Aoi!"

Unable to bear the extreme emotional disturbance, Aoi fainted. In truth, it's somewhat reasonable to faint, as the recipient was trapped in the body of a baby and it was just that big of a shock. What happened next was also reasonable, after all, who doesn't worry when a child, not even a year old faints? Naturally, they took her to the hospital. However, even the best of decisions when performed at the wrong place and time will similarly result in it becoming a bad decision. After all, Chomei the seven tailed beast of Sorakagure was out. More importantly, it was filled with impotent rage for being trapped for centuries. And Sumiko and Takashi had no clue.

Currently, they were urgently ninja hopping on the light periwinkle roofs in order to get to the hospital at the fastest time possible. Then they came to a complete halt. Chomei had just appeared from thin air. After standing still for 5 seconds, it's face broke out in a demonic grin. The expression of sheer joy it had when trampling houses and humans alike made it seem like the demon everyone made it out to be.

Humans, ninjas to be more accurate, rushed out under the of the vast expanse of the night sky to fight the creature. Jutsu of every element was summoned transforming the night sky into that of a parade of colors, each more vibrant than the last. But, alas it was merely colorful in the end dealing no damage whatsoever to the tailed beast. Suddenly, the beast was bathed in a literal tidal wave of fire. Thinking the gigantic flying insect to be slain, the ninja relaxed their guards for but a second. But it was a second too long to wait, as small seemingly simplistic black and red particles congregated upon its mouth. A few seconds ago there was houses, plants, and human life, now however it was just an expanse of land with no indication that life previously existed and thrived upon it. Chomei stared at its masterpiece for a few seconds, before breaking out in a diabolical grin followed by an earsplitting laugh.

"Foolish humans! You thought that that mere fire could kill me? Ah, this is one of the funniest jokes I've heard in a long time!"

Sumiko and Takashi slowly looked at each other and nodded.

They were going to kill or seal (whichever came first) anyone who dared to destroy their home. It didn't matter if it was a tailed beast or not. It was just one more enemy to take on.

After all, they're ninja.

With one final look of love, they gently set Aoi on the floor in an abandoned house and set the most extensive defensive sealing array they have ever made. Taking one last look at Aoi, and then hesitating, Sumiko slowly takes off a beautiful crystal necklace in the shape of a bird.

"I.. I'm sorry, my little beautiful blue bird. This is goodbye."

And with a flash, they are gone.

Man, this made me sad.. Why did I write this like this? Oh yeah, every story I have ever written the main character always ends up an orphan..... (Idk why... This is kinda sad for me as a human being.) Anyways, thank you for taking time to read my book with an attorcious update frequency.

Edit: I felt like the story was going too fast so I added more on Chomei. Hope you like it!
