The promise

Chou became a valiant warrior in the Land of Dawn. He never forgotten where he came from and visited the old monk that taught him the secrets of Chinese Kung Fu.

When Chou came to visit the monk, he was startled upon the old monk's weakened body. The monk was dying but Chou couldn't do something about it. The old monk uttered his last words to Chou. The monk made Chou promise to fix the unjust system that exists in the Land of Dawn

Chou feels great despair because of the problems that have stumbled upon him but instead of grieving for his loss, he used his feelings to increase his resolve so that he can fullfill his promise to the monk whom he owes his own destiny.
