I woke up to a bit of heavy head and a slight headache. 'Side effect of watching late night drama' I thought to myself. I walked towards the bathroom getting a towel along the way. I took a quick shower. After I had the shower I felt somehow a little good. I took a headache pills as I got dressed for the long day ahead.

Gathering all my things along with my backpack o walked down the stairs to the living area.

"Morning mom, morning dad" I greeted.

"Morning" they both replied in unison.

"Ma where is Rachel?" I asked not seeing her around.

"I just put her on the bus. She left for school" she replied.

"Oh" I said.

"What's for breakfast?" I asked.

"Scrambled eggs and toast" mom replied.

I had my breakfast as I bid them goodbye and started walking towards the front door. Ad I opened the door I saw cars in the driveway

"Dad when did the cars arrive?" I shouted fr outside.

"They came in last night" he replied.

"Why did you tell me then?" I asked looking at him.

"To see your smiling expression" he replied.

"Love you dad" saying I came rushing to him and pulled him into a hug.

"Now go. You gonna be late" dad said pulling away from the hug.

"Ya. Ok dad bye. Bye mom" I said as I drove towards the lane.

I reached the hospital after an hour's drive. I greeted the nurse as I walked past them towards my cabin. Once in my cabin I decided to call him to tell him not to pick me up and instead of that send me his address.

But my ego came in. ' why should I call ? He needs me not me' I thought to myself.

I placed my backpack as I took my gown and stethoscope. I needed to go to rounds.

I came to the nurse station as I asked one of them to call the residents for the rounds.

After few minutes they all came rushing.

"Morning doctor" they all said.

"Do I need to know something?" I asked them.

"No, doctor" Young Joon replied.

"Then let's go" I said as I led them to th ed egg ounds.

Once I was done we'd ith my rounds I came back to my cabin. I was seated on my chair when my Calvin's door opened. I looked up to see Dr.Kim walk in.

"Morning Dr. Kim" I greeted him getting up from my chair.

"Morning Dr. Park" he greeted me back with a smile.

"Please have a seat" I said gesturing hum to take a seat.

"So how's it going? Do you like our hospit as l?" He asked.

"Ya I am loving it" i said smiling at him.

"Good to hear that" he said.

"So to what do I owe this graceful visit" I said chuckling.

"Ah! I almost forgot" he said smiling.

"There is gonna be a conference on neuro surgery on this Friday. So I came to ask to help me out with one fellow working under you" he said.

"Its not a thing to ask from me doctor. You can take anyone" I said.

"No I want you to suggest someone from under you" he said.

"I can't play favourite here doctor" I said smiling.

"No, doctor you're misunderstanding me" he said.

"Doctor I know. I am just messing with you" I said laughing out loud. He joined me as well.

"I'll talk to them and let you know ok" I said.

"That would be great" he said.

"Ok" I replied.

"Ok then and thank you" he said.

"Its my pleasure" I said.

After he left I called in the 5he fellows to discuss with them, if they wanted to attend.

"So anyone interested?" I asked them.

"Doctor I would like to attend" Joong ki said.

"Ok. Anyone else?" I asked them.

"No doctor" they replied.

"Ok then. Joong ki report to Dr. Kim this instant ok" I said to him.

"Yes doctor" he replied.

"Ok you all can go" I said dismissing them.

"Thank you doctor" they said in unison as they exited my cabin.

The whole noon I was in my canbin peacefully. No emergency, no complications just peace but it was disrupted when a emergency patient came. His kidneys weren't functioning properly. We had to do artificial distillation to support him.

"Sir are you feeling alright?" I asked him.

"I feel a bit tired and a bit cold" he answered.

"Ok anything else?" I asked.

"No" he replied.

"Young Joon check his uri e output" I said to him.

"Doctor irs very less" he replied.

"Ok. Sir you'll feel fine. I'll prescribe some medice. Take them and we will observe you for a da yurt or two before we discharge you ok" I s as I'd to the patient.

"Thank you doctor" ty he patient said.

"Young joon give him Furosemide along with EPO" I said to him.

"Yes doctor" he replied.

"And keep checking him after you give him the dosage. If the urine output remains 5he same fome inform me" I said to him as I walked towards my cabin.

I decided to have a coffee. I went to the cafeteria to get myself a iced americano. I ce back into my cabin as I sat down on the couch. I decided to continue my drama watching from last night since I had some free time.

I scrolled my phone to search for the drama. As I typed his name a news letter popped out. It said "Jung Hoon in an another scandal".

I feeling I had past night when I saw his kissing scene I started to feel that again.

'Joshua what is happening to you' my inner voice asked.

My heart was pounding. I ignored the thought as I decided to watch. But it didn't feel right. I feel something that I haven't felt in a long time. Last time I felt this way was in my college days when I had my first relationship.

I didn't want to give in what I was feeling right now.

"Forget it" I said to myself and thought of taking a nap.

It was almost 3 in the afternoon when 8 woke up f ey om my nap. 8 got up from the couch as I walked into the wash room to wash my face when I came out from the wash roo. I phone 4ang. I wiped my face with a towel as I got hold of my phone to see who it was. It 2as Jung Hoon. Why is he calling at this hour. I was about to receive my Cabin's door flew open.

"Doctor we have a patient coming in few minutes. They are on thier way" Young Joon said.

"Ok. I'll be there in a minute" I s as I'd to him.

As he walked away I recieved the call.

"Hello".

"When are you gonna get off work?" Came the reply.

"Why?" I asked.

"I'll come pick you up" he replied.

"No need" I answered.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I'll drive to your place. Just sent me your address" I said.

"What if you bail out?" He said.

"Just text me the address" I replied back at him.

"Iam a bit busy right now so see you tonight" I added as I disconnected the call.

I hot my gown and wore it. As I was about to go my phone berped. I look into it. It was him sending the address. I kept my phone in the cabin as I rushed to the emergency room.

"Is the patient here yet?" I asked the nurse.

"No doctor" she replied.

"Ok. Young Joon brief me" I asked him.

He briefed me the patients condition.

"Ok its minor. Get me the frllows" I asked him.

After few minutes he c as me back with the fellows.

"So a patient with minor injuries is coming in. He would need surgery bit it's a minor procedure. You just have to stop an internal bleeding." I s as I'd to them.

"So, Sung joon can you do this procedure?" I asked him.

"Yes doctor" he replied.

"Ok that's good. Young Joon assist him" I said as I walked back to m you cabin.

After the surgery was done I met with the patient once the anaesthetic wore off.

"Fellows this will your last year right so I'll be marking you from now. When you think you are capable if doing a surgery came to me and you can gain the point ok" I said to the fellows.

I was done for the day s.d o I decided to head home. ' ah I almost forgot I don't hav ed to ho home I am going somewhere else's I though tgg to myself.

I bid them goodbye as I got into my car and fed the address on the gps. I5h was an hour's drive to his place. When I reached the gate was locked. I honked at the gate. the watchman came out.

"Is this Jung Hoon's place?" I asked in Korean.

"Yes. Who are you?" He asked.

I was about to answer but the phone at the gate rang. The watchman rushed to get it and talked for a while.

"You can go in sir" the watchman said as he opened the gate for me. I drive in as I parked the car and gathered all my things and walk up to the f rut onto door. When I was about to ring the bell the door opened and there he was standing with th as t smirk of his.

"Welcome" he said smiling.

"Were you seeing me come in?" I sked.

"No" he said sounding very defensive.

"Your tone is high, that means you were watching me" I said smiling.

"Fine I was watching" he said looking away from me.

"See" I said patting myself hypothetically.

"Nice house" I added as I came walking inside to the living area.

"Thanks" he replied.

"I was complimenting the house not you" I said sarcastically.

"I know" he replied.

"So where should I go?" I asked looking at him

"Upstairs. First room" he replied pointing at the room.

"Ok" saying I walked up stairs and walked in to the room.

I got in ty o the room. It had a nice ambience to it. Designed well, and clean. I placed my things on the bed as I decided to take a shower.

After I had a shower I walked out in a bathrobe. I took out a short and a 5ee from my bag. I took off the bathrobe and put on my shorts. I was about to put on my tee I heard a knock on the door. Soon after I heard him call out.

"Joshua".

"Yes" I replied picking up tee from the bed.

"I am coming in" he said as he opened the door.

"No.." I said as I saw him already standing ar the door wide open.

My face started turning up red. I started feeling hot all of a sudden. 8 could feel the heat rising in me along with my heart thumping.

The realisation hit me that I was only in my shorts. I rushed to him as I pushed him out the room locking the door behind me.

I rushed back to get my tee as I wore it.

"Sorry" came his voice from outside the dfs door.

"Its ok" I replied.

"I didn't mean to" I cut him off.

"Its ok".

"Did you need something?" I added.

"Ah! I came to call you for dinner" he replied.

"Ok. You go first I'll come in a minute" I answered.

"Ok" saying I heard him walk away down stairs.

I relaxed myself a bit, cooled myself down. I didn't wanted to see me all flushed. I waited for sometime. After I ft somehow better I walked downstairs and saw him sitting at the dinning table.

"Please have a seat" he said to me smiling.

"Thanks" I replied as I sat on the other end of the table.

I really felt awkward sitting there with him after what happened a few minutes ago

"How was your day?" he asked me

"It was good" I replied still feeling uncomfortable.

I didn't like the silence it was making it more awkward so I decided to converse with him.

"How was yours?" I asked him looking towards him.

"It was a lot if work" he replied.

"Ok. So you cooked all this?" I asked smiling.

"No. My maid did" he replied.

"Oh" I said as I continued eating.

Again there was silence again.

After dinner was done he cleaned up the table putting all the dishes in the basin.

"Let me help you clean it" I said.

"No. It's ok maid we I'll come ty tomorrow' he replied.

"Its ok. I'll do it" I said.

"No. I insist" he said.

"Its ok. It will only take a few minutes' I said as I got the gloves and started cleaning the dishes.

"Then let me help you dry it" he said getting a clean cloth and putting the ed dishes back in to o the cabinet.

After it was done we said goodnight as we went back to our respective rooms.

I decide to call it a day as I had a morning shift tomorrow. I got on the bed, set the aircon on and laid down on the bed. I closed my eyes to sleep but couldn't. I could hear round from his room as if he was changing sides.

'May be he was having hard time sleeping?' I thought to myself. After few minutes I heard murmuring as if he was talking to himself. The doctor inside me started working up. But what am I suppose to say.

'Just be yourself' came my inner voice. 8 got up as I walked out 5he room to his door.

I knocked at the door.

"Yes" he replied.

"Can I come in?" I asked.

"Ya" he replied.

I got hold of the knob was nd opened the door and walked in.

"Did you need something?" He asked.

"No" I replied.

"Then?"

"Is everything ok?"I asked him..

"Yes why?" He said.

"No I heard you cursing and your bed kept making sound" I said.

"No its nothing. It's just that I can't seem to fall asleep somehow" he replied to me.

"Oh! Do you need some help" I asked.

"How?" He asked.

"Wait here. I'll be back in a minute" I said as I walked out the door.

I went downstairs as I heat up some milk and poured it in a cup and walked back upstairs to his room.

"Have this" I said handing him the cup.

He looked in to the cup.

"Milk?" He said looking up to me from the cup.

"Warm milk helps you sleep better" I said.

"Ah!" He exclaimed.

"Have a seat" he said pating on the bed.

"Hmm" saying I sat down watching him drinking.

"Thanks" he said to me.

"No its nothing. You don't have to thank me" I said.

"But still, thank you," he said.

"You're welcome" I said giving him a smile.

"Ok then I should go I have a morning shift tomorrow" I said as I stood up.

"Ok. Good night" he said.

"Goodnight" I said as I walked out the door.

Last night was not what I expected. I couldn't sleep properly. I always fer anxious when I sleep at some place unfamiliar, that's why I felt weird last night. I somehow manage to sleep the night through. I woke up around 7 in the morning. I got myself a shower after I brushed up. After I was done I walked out of the room all the way to the kitchen. I was looking around the cabinets to make some breakfast before I leave. When I was going th ru ought the fridge I heard the nearby landline ring. I walked over to receive it.

"Hello" I said.

"Who is this?" A woman asked.

"Ah! J uh ng Hoon is not awake yet" I replied feeling awkward. What am I suppose to say. Who am I?

"Ok! You must be the friend?" she asked.

I was dumbfounded 'friend'. Am I now a friend to him.

"Yes I guess" I said unsure what to say.

"Please tell him I won't be able to come over for some days due to a family emergency" she said.

"Ah ok" I replied.

"Thank you, ok bye then" she said.

"Hmm" saying I kept the receiver.

'I guess I have to make extra' I said to myself.

I came back to the kitchen station. There was some eggs spring onions and bread. I decided to make omelette and toast.

I made some extra for him. I had my share as I walked back to the room to get myself ready for the day.

After I got myself ready I walked downstairs and was about to exit but then thought atleast I should leave a note telling him the maid was not coming. I took out a sticky note maker from my backpack as I wrote and kept it on the dinning table along with the breakfast and then I left.

After I reached the hospital I got in tut o my gown and went to nurse's station. I looked around but I couldn't see a single resident around. I asked the nurse where they were.

"Ah! They must be asleep doctor" she answered.

"This late in the mogning?" I exclaimed.

"They must be tired from the hectic load of work this morning" she replied.

"What happened?" I asked.

"You didn't see the news?" she asked back.

"No. Why?" I asked.

"Last night a bus got in to an accident. They were brought here as other hospital's emergency were full and this was the nearest hospital" she replied.

"Oh" I said.

"Anyway I am going for the round. Bring the charts along" I asked her to follow me.

After I was done I asked the nurse to tet them to wake you p because if superiors find out they as well as me will be in trouble.

I came back into my cabin and was seated on my chair, my phone rang.

I saw the name popping in bold letters. I was really unhappy with the person calling so I let it be. But then again it rang. I picked it up.

"Who is 5his?" I asked even if I knew who it was.

"Ah! You're gonna be like this then?" He asked.

"Excuse me who is this?" I asked again in a irritated tone.

"Did you really delete my number?" He asked.

"Wrong number" I said and disconnected it.

After I disconnected the call I burst out into laughter. 'He must be pissed right now' I thought to myself. After few minutes my phone rang again. It was him again.

"Josh don't play dumb. I am really gonna kill you when I meet you"came from the other side when I recieved the call.

"What?" I asked.

"You hopeless brat I really thought it was wrong number" he said. And I burst into laughter.

"Bakq(stupid)" he said in nihongo.

"You baka" I replied.

"What's up?" He asked.

"Nothing and you?" I asked.

"Am fine too" he replied.

"So?" I asked.

"So what?" He asked back.

"What do you need?" I asked.

"What? I can't call you without needing something" he said.

"Cut the crap Haru'" I said in a firm tone.

"Chingu you know me so well" he said giggling.

"So?" I said.

"You know 5hat Seoul fashion week is coming soon right?" He asked.

"No. My answer is no" I said.

"First listen me out" he said.

"I already know where this is going" I said to him.

"Please please Josh" he said in a begging manner.

"No can do" I said sternly.

"Please Josh. The show's topper nailed on me" he said.

"No. Why don't you get some actor to do so if you can't get hold of a top model?" I asked him.

"I'd also like that but at the last moment who would accept" he said.

"Wait let me ask someone I know" I said.

"Who?" He asked.

"Kim Jung Hoon" I said.

"I already asked him. Wait how do you know him?" He asked.

"Long story" I said.

"Spill" he said in an ordering tone.

"Some other time" I said.

"Anyway what did he say?" I cut him off when he was about to say something.

"He said he can't" he replied.

"Why?" I asked.

"How am I suppose to know " he said.

"Anyway forget him. Please Josh do this favor please" he said.

"But I have a shift at the hospital" I said to him.

"I know Josh yo uh can work it out" he said.

"What if I can't" I said.

"I know you can" he said.

"Confident much?" I s as I'd.

"Anyway Thank you" he said.

"Excuse me I didn't say I will yet" I answered.

"See you in 3 days. Gomawo chingu. Bye" he said non stop and disconnected the call not giving me any chance to speak.

I didn't what to do.

"First let's go meet Dr. Kim," I said to myself as I walked out my cabin.

I went up to his cabin talked with him for a while and asked for a leave for two days, ty tomorrow and the day after.

Afte that I came back to my cabin. I took out my phone from my pocket as I dialed his number.

"Hello" I said.

"So?" He asked.

"What?" I asked back.

"You got the leave?" He said.

"How do you know I asked for it already?" I said.

"Josh who would know you better than me?" He said.

"You better treat me well" I said.

"Gomawo chingu" he said.

"You better treat me at a high end restaurant" I said.

"Your wish my order" he said and we both broke in to laughter.

"Doctor" a nurse came in.

"Listen, I have to go. Talk to you later" I said.

"Ok. Bye' he replied.

I disconnected the call and looked up to her.

"Yes" I said.

"Out patients are here. Should I send them in?" She asked.

"Give a minute then you can send them in" I said.

"Ok doctor" she replied and left the room..

It was almost time for lunch when I was done with the out patients. I walked out the cabin to go to the cafeteria. When I walked past nurse's station. Joong ki came to me.

"Doctor going for lunch?" He asked.

"Yes" I replied.

"May I join?" He asked.

"Ya sire" I said.

After I had lunch I came back to my cabin. I decided to plom up about Seoul Fashion week. I have heard about it a lot. It is like the most big fashion week in Korea. I looked up a bit more before deciding to take a nap.

When I woke up it was 3 in the evening. I did my evening rounds. After the rounds were done I came back to my cabin. I was about to call Haru, Young Jook came rushing in.

"Doctor we have a patient coming in" he said.

"Ok. You go I'll be there in a minute" I told him.

8 has to do a emergency surgery on the patient that came in. I waited for him to gain conscious. I t was almos6 time for my shift to end when the patient woke up. I visited him telling him the risk of the surgery and asked him to tell immediately if he feels pain or any sort of discomfort at the surgical site.

After I was done I left for home. When I reached at his place as Nd got out of my car my phone 4ang.

"Hey" he said.

"What?" I asked.

"When are you coming home?" He asked.

"I am almost there. Why?" I replied.

"Nothing just asking" he aid.

"ok".

"Ok then I'll see you in a bit" he said as he disconnected the call.
