3 Early Start.

Once the 4 Devil Kings decided on something together it would be quite hard to get past them. They were 4 of the strongest Devils and some of the most influential so they could easily hide the existence of Amara. As long as they hid her for long enough they would be able to be ready for anything their rivals could pull.

The first month of her life was not very productive in reality as she was held back by her infant body. As much as she wanted to begin to train her body back to something she found passable being an infant had limitations.

For starters, the new Blood Essence she had fused with her heart was going to take a while to truly show any effect. From having the power to fight a world-destroying being for a year straight to barely being able to move your head was not fun.

More annoying was that she was rarely left alone so she did not have many chances to use magic to begin to get stronger. Unless she built the quality of this body back up to something more she would not be able to make use of her Desolation Magic.

Much less her gear which was made to support her at her peak. Meaning she was quite literally a wolf without her teeth and claws at the moment. Amara sighed as her silver eyes glanced up at the giant man who was standing over her crib.

"Wow, she really was born with weird black hair. What do you think Souji?"

At the moment she was being guarded by Surtr Second and Souji Okita just to be safe. They were part of Sirzech's peerage whatever that was. She had heard that word being thrown around, but she did not really get it.

Surtr second was a giant man standing a bit over 2 meters. He looked to be in his 30s and he had orange hair. Plus he was a mountain of muscles that reminded her of a giant. As for the other one he looked like a regular man from the South side of her old world.

If they were put in charge of being her guards they should not be weak right? Souji looked at Amara who was looking from him to Surtr.

"I am not sure what to think. We just need to make sure she grows up."

Surtr reached down and scooped her up with one of his hands. His hands were big enough that she nearly fit fight in the palm of his hand.

"Well, little lady. When you grow a little older, you can count on your uncle here to teach you how to fight."

'Thanks.'

Souji rolled his eyes as he did not think a young noble lady would be into the kind of fighting Surtr took part in. However, he saw that Amara smiled and she even reached out to Surtr. That made the giant smile as he rubbed her cheek with his finger.

"Well ain't she adorable. Try it Souji?"

The former Captain of the Shinsengumi looked around before he took the baby in his hands. He held her a little close to his face with a smile on his face.

"Want to learn how to use a sword?"

She reached out and touched his face with a small smile. Both of her guards were happy that she was not crying which was helpful. Babies were known to cry, but not Amara. In her one month of life, she had not cried a single time, but she was a perfectly healthy girl.

Surtr took her in his hands as he grinned.

"You know, when you get a little older you can count on your uncles here to teach you. No one will be better to teach you the art of combat than us."

Amara was perfectly happy with that as learning more skills was never bad. Draven got as strong as he did as he was taught by the strongest individuals of his former world. The more she learned the stronger she would be, but just as both of them were having fun Grayfia walked in.

When she saw both of her fellow peerage members having fun with her baby she was pleased. But she hid that behind a stern expression. Sutr put her back in her crib while Souji straightened his face out.

The giant man rubbed the back of his head as he laughed a little.

"Hey, Grayfia."

"Second, Souji."

That was all she said as she walked up to her baby and picked her up. Her cold exterior melted as she picked up her baby.

"Thank you two for looking out for her."

Surtr waved her off.

"Don't even thank me. I owe it to both of you anyway and she is adorable. When will you let her start training?"

Souji sighed.

"She is barely a month old. Children are not allowed to start magic training until they are 6 years old and barely at that."

Surtr waved him off.

"She is special. I bet in a few months she will be running around like crazy. I bet by the time she is 3, she will be a handful. I can feel this."

Grayfia did not ignore his words as when he said things he was usually right.

"I won't force her to train before she had enjoyed her childhood. However, if she does it herself we can only guide her along."

While they talked Amara was currently talking with the Abyss King that currently resided in her body.

'Yes, as soon as I can refine this body enough to move we will begin to get stronger. The faster that happens the faster I can give you a body. I don't want a roommate.'

A few shrieks and screeches later made her shake her head.

'Fine. I will make sure it is great. Now I only need time.'

Her guard did not stay with her full time as at night she stayed in a nursery attached to her mother's quarters. At that moment she was finally fully alone so she got to work fast. She closed her eyes and began to circulate magic through her mana pathways.

No matter the species they needed a special way to transfer mana through their bodies which most used mana pathways. Dragons were unique that their full bodies were magic taken form so they had the fastest and most powerful method.

She could not use this method for the simple fact her Heart had not yet transitioned into a Dragon Heart. Without doing anything it would take at least 250 years before the Bood Essence had taken effect.

She had to feed it energy to speed up the effect and the best way was to be stronger. She drew magic from the surroundings into her small body and through her mana pathways. She opened them all up and got them used to the feeling of mana going through them.

An untalented person required at least several years to get this process done while someone with the talent needed far less. As a child, Draven only needed the method and he had succeeded in mere hours. That was talent.

Amara had a superior body from birth which was far more magic receptive than that of a human. Most Mana Pathways were already open and just needed an influx of energy. She did not know that most Devils did not use mana at all.

They preferred the easier-to-use Demonic Power, but she found it inferior. So she instead used the Mana that was naturally in the air for this. Her body began to glow and light up as the Mana Pathways began to light up.

The Black Dot on her heart began to draw in mana and grow slowly. This needed to be a gradual process, too much would overtake her heart, and taking little would do nothing. Good thing she still had all of her memories so she did this for only 30 minutes.

That was plenty, and when she opened her eyes they were glowing an eerie silver. She exhaled black mist which was the few impurities in her body. When Draven did this he was expelling black mist like crazy from his pores, but a single circulating got it all.

'Damn, this body is way better than before. What luck?'

As the child of a Super Devil and the Strongest Queen, it was obvious she would have a high-quality body to work with. She spread her senses to her heart and found that the black mark now had a few lines extending from it. They were tiny and no longer than the point of a nail.

'Now this is progress. I only managed to do this when I was 14 last time. Apparently, it is better to do this before a child reaches 10. Imagine doing it at the start. Within 4 months I should be able to walk without trouble. Then I can find more chances to be alone.'

She closed her eyes as doing this for the first time was exhausting. She fell into the lull of sleep as she recovered her stamina. Grayfia and Sirzechs after finishing their duties entered the room and looked at their sleeping daughter.

They held each other as they stood over her crib.

"I want another one."

Sirzechs said as a joke, but Grayfia rolled her eyes.

"I would if I could. You know how hard she was. We might have to spend another 400 years before we get another one. She will already be fully grown and independent from you then."

Sirzechd imagined a scheme where his daughter was a grown Devil in charge of the family and marriage. His face changed at the end. Married? His daughter was going to have to marry one day to produce an heir. Could be put her through that?

When Grayfia saw that she rolled her eyes.

"She is only a month old. She has time to get ready for that. She is our daughter."

He nodded, but he was not looking forward to when she grew. She was obviously going to be a pretty woman. She was part succubus from Grayfia's mother after all. Innate beauty came with it so he had to be ready.

They both left her alone and when they left she opened her eyes. They were weird.

'Marriage?'

The Abyss King roared asking what marriage was.

'Well, two beings male and female get together and through the church exchange vows to get married to have children.'

It snorted asking why they had not just been born from the Abyss. In the Abyss new life came to be just by Abyssal Energy gathering together. It was quick efficient and they were powerful. Amara as a socially stunted 2,300-year-old had no idea.

'It would be efficient would it not?'

Well, she decided to not think about it as she was still socially stunted. She barely understood her own emotions and she was just pursuing power again.

'Meh, it does not matter. Love is for the weak.'

The Abyss King agreed as those in love fell the easiest to it. Both beings whose minds were far above mortal came to an agreement that love was a wasted emotion. She just needed to focus on getting stronger while the iron was hot.

She could only do one cycle a day at the moment which would grow in time. So she decided to merely sleep the day away. Time began to glow quickly as the first year of a baby's life, human or not was normally boring.

She spent most of that time talking with the Abyss King which was strangely very similar to herself. Not just because their souls were linked, but because they were pretty much just a coin cut down the middle.

She was now 5 months old and at that time she constantly practiced her Mana Refinement daily. Her Blood Essence could only be fed once a week as more would cause mutate and kill her. So now 5 months later the lines extending from it were much longer.

They extended in all directions about an inch. But they were extremely thin which meant that it was taking longer than expected. She sighed as she sat up in her crib and exhaled. She had no more impurity in her body as she had dealt with the very little there was.

'Fuck, this is going to take forever. At my rough estimate, it will take me around 50 years at this rate.'

She got up in her crib and jumped out. She was already 5 months old at the time and was walking around just fine. She was still acting like a normal baby, but her parents had taken them to the family doctor for testing.

With the help of the Abyss King and her own cloak, she masked her heart as something normal. However, the doctor found that her body was much stronger than it should be. Her Magic Refining had not been for anything after all.

The doctor decided that she should be allowed more time to walk around as it seemed she was not going to stay in one place. Amara made sure she did not do anything eye-catching like trying to read or exercise in the eye view of someone.

This was already more attention than she wanted. However, it was better to do this now when her body was growing. She would have the most benefit from it, but it seemed that she was slowed down by her own body. It was of better quality than it should be, but it was still young.

Maybe it needed to grow before the Blood Essence would truly convert her heart, but it was better to at least do something. Doing nothing was dull. Just then her mother in her maid outfit entered the room.

When she saw Amara sitting on the floor she sighed. Just as Surtr said ever since she had reached 5 months of age she had begun to get out of her crib.

"Amara, again."

Amara held her arms up toward her mother which Grayfia obliged and picked her up. Grayfia smiled at her daughter who was very silent. She never cried, or smiled, but did not laugh. They still had no idea why this was the case, but they did not suspect her of being someone else.

Just then Souji entered the room. When Grayfia saw him she handed Amara to him.

"Let her explore the Estate. If anyone asks she is yours. We used a bit of magic to hide the Crimson and Silver strands in her hair, we can't let any spy know that she belongs to me and Sirzechs."

Souji nodded.

"I will do as you say. Come on little one."

Amara was finally allowed to roam. That would make everything less boring as she would have something to do.

'Finally.'

Souji left the room and put her down.

"Let's go."

He wanted to give her a tour so she followed behind him. This was better than sitting around.
